Welcome to HowFixit. In this video, I'll show you how to disassemble the Dji Mavic Mini to replace any of the broken parts. For example, you lost control, the drone crashed, this video instruction help you repair your Mavic Mini.
Video will help to sort out the problems of IMU calibration errors, stabilization and GPS positioning errors. Often errors occur due to a software failure and these problems can be solved by updating the firmware. But unfortunately, many errors can be caused due to a hardware problems of the module. But don't worry, you can fix everything.
* Errors of Mavic Mini *
** If the Mavic Mini does not turn on and does not show signs of life, you should pay attention to the main board. Time code 5:50
** Dji Mavic Mini loses GPS signal or Code 30002 error appears indicating a weak GPS signal and unstable positioning, maybe the problem is in the GPS module. Time Code 6:39
** Camera with suspension stabilization - Gimbal. The most fragile part of the quadrocopter, it falls out when drone drop in 99% cases, but fortunately it is easily installed back into place in the quadrocopter. In 70% drop cases - Gimbal may crack or break the cable connecting the camera and the main board, this cable can be removed and replaced. Replacing the camera and cable - Time code 7:07
** ESC errors cause unstable operation of the motors or even loss of quadrocopter control, because the ESC board is responsible for controlling all four motors. Replacing the ESC / IMU board may be necessary if the Mavic Mini reports an ESC error that is NOT resolved by replacing the quadcopter motor (note that you may need to replace the motor again, as sometimes the original damaged ESC board may damage the new motor) - Time code 8:10
** Motor error or replacement hand with the motor - Time code 8:32
To replace the motor you need a soldering-iron. A motor error may be caused due to defective of the ESC board.
** Code 10001: Camera malfunction. Repairs required. Contact DJI Support for assistance
- All you can do is restart the drone. If it doesn’t help, replace or repair the Gimbal camera.
** Code 10016: Camera not calibrated. Image quality can be affected. Contact DJI Support for assistance.
- Calibrate the camera, if the error persists - replace or repair the camera.
** Code 30007 & 30008: No GPS signal. Unable to hover. Fly with caution
- Repair or replacement of the gps module is required.
** Code 30049: GPS Module Error. Restart Aircraft
- Restart the mavic mini. If it does not help, repair or replace the gps module.
** Code 30050: IMU calibration required. Calibrate IMU
In the settings, find the IMU calibration function and calibrate according to the instructions. If it does not help, repair or replace the gps module.
** Code 30055: IMU not calibrated. Calibrate IMU
- Repeat the same steps as with the Code 30050 error.
** Code 30060: Compass error. Ensure there are no metal or magnetic objects near the aircraft and calibrate it before use.
- If there are definitely no metal objects around mavic mini and calibration does not help - repair or replace the gps module.
** Code 30064: Unable to TakeOff.
- Make sure that nothing prevents the drone from taking off and that you are in the area where flights are allowed. If all conditions are met, but the error remains - restart mavic mini. Doesn't help - update the firmware. If again the error - need repair mavic mini ( but here it is need to understand which module is broken, the fastest is the problem in ESC module).
** Code 30168: Aircraft power insufficient. Fly with caution.
- The error most often occurs in high winds, but it can be due to a worn battery or a faulty ESC module.
** Code 40021: Gimbal IMU data error. Contact DJI Support for assistance
- Repair or replace GPS module.

After the replacement motherboard or gimbal, you will need to calibrate your drone. Some calibration processes can be done with the DJI Fly mobile app, but for some procedures, like camera gimbal calibration, you will need to use additional software. My mini fell off the roof of my car today. In its case. While I was driving. The flap for the battery came off completely but remained in-tact. I had to remove the top cover to get it back in and secured. This video helped tremendously.

After 2 weeks I managed to get my mini wet, all seems to be working except I have code "110007 - battery communication malfunction" on all batteries. How can I determine what needs replacing?

Amazing, can you do a video how to fix mini 2 as well pls. I broke the upper and parts of middle shell and I have to change it but I'm scared to not damage the drone. I'm not sure how to transfer the front led in a new case ecc. Thanks

Hi I was trying to fly my mini 2 yesterday. After complete setup the drone was not taking off as one of the propellers was not rotating. I tried multiple time but the results were same after which when I physically checked the wings of the drone it was tight/hard.

There is no link for the gps module.I have very weak gps cannot mantain a stable +12,13 sats or more in the city is impossible it falls down 6,7,4 than 0 as soon as i take off,in the city the more altitude dhe worse gps.In rural areas its better but still experiences loss of signal.The drone is brand new.I had another mavic mini but it crashed never had gps problems with it.You think is gps module faulty?

I have a question about the mini 2 ! What body shell part includes the battery door? Or is the door sold separately? Mine broke at the hinge.
Can I use the mini 2 housing and motors on the mini 1? Since the mini 2 runs on the mini 1's battery, I think so.
I need to replace the cable. Not sure whats it called. Cant upload the pic of the broken cable. Its not the one listed in the description. Its ESC flat cable.
So i dropped my mini in water, it was in there for about 5 secs. I took out the battery and dried it with a hair dryer. I let it sit for about 6hrs and i re stsrted it. It indicates low battery (1 flashing light) and when i turn it on it gives me code 30064. The mini itself has the two lights on the right flash 3 times. What can it be.

I would highly recommend using light heat to remove the hot glue from the cable connectors on the the main board. I used the plastic spudge tool and it took some of the coating off of the PCB. Thankfully that doesn't affect much, but it could easily tear off components or traces and you wouldn't be able to fix it.

Thank you for this tutorial. So the gps module is located above the camera? if so, I can mount the gps locator/tracker on the top of the drone in the middle.

My drone fell and the DJI tech said the mother board broke, and the Singapore svc center don't repair and said they will send to HK for 1:1 exchange which cost almost the same as a new one, Question is if they or anyone sells the motherboard only and where can i buy it?

Easy remove the c-clip at the bottom of motor and pop the bell out.

the screwdriver set is too big to fit in the hole for the bottom screws. I am pretty sure that you linked another set since the set I ordered by clicking the link wont fit to unscrew the bottom screws.
Hi in relation to the camera, dji have made it impossible for self repair of swapping the gimbal. It needs to be coded using dji software with a code given by them when you submit the gimbal serial number, are you able to supply coded units ?

The Dji Mavic minim was dropped in water, the camera was working fine, but the gimbal was getting stuck and data error. I tightened the Wd40 to fix the gimbal. The gimbal problem has been solved. I am not getting a gimbal error. But now the camera image is not displayed. What could be causing this error? Error codes; 10001,10016

Oh well. I crushed my mavic mini it to a tree and gimbal came out from its rubber mounts. On closer inspection I noticed a tear on the ribbon cable and there was red error saying something about camera sensor . I purchased refurbished part and replaced it guided by this video. When I power in on now the whole gimbal is shaking like crazy and there are multiple errors likie: 40012, 10001, 30066, 30049, 30007 and a few orange ones.
Now. I do not blame the video! Its been a huge help. I am just wondering where did I fail and what else I can do to fix the problem.

I'm receiving error 40021 after replacing the gimbal. The flex and signal cable are original. Is there a way to clear the error?
I see a lot of people having a problem with this and it's like dji repair centers are the only ones with proper software to pair the drone with a new gimbal.

Very useful. Thank you. But I think you confuse the words: "module" and "model". They are not pronounced the same and do not mean same. "Module" (meaning: "a portion of the assembly") is pronounced: "modool".
"Model" means a Movic vs. a Phantom, as an example.
