Hey Brian: Lowe's or home Depot sell bright orange markers that might help keep you out if the stone by the driveway. They come in different lengths and are very small diameter. Like a base of a fishing rod. When you started I thought to myself this guy is having too much fun! Laughing while you were blowing snow was great! You have fun!! Enjoy this winter!!

I spray painted them flourescent yellow and added DoT safety tape at the tops. Then pounded 3' rebars into the ground, slipped the pipes over them, spacing them to follow the contours of our sloped, winding driveway. They are great in the blizzards and white-outs we get from Lake Effect snow. Springtime, I pull them out of the ground store until next winter.

Thanks for posting the video. I just picked up a BX back in April and just bought the 2750 last month. If you're interested, (I know how expensive Kubota's stuff is) I picked up a electric chute deflector kit on e-bay for $200 and I'm building my own hydraulic chute rotator for less than $200. Kubota wants $500 for the deflector and $900 for the rotator. It might help keep the snow drifts off you so you don't get off the tractor at the end looking like a snowman? Enjoy that 70 series. Nice machine!

Haters always have to say something, so disregard them. Depending on the storm, every situation is different, from how much and type of snow to wind conditions when blowing. Git 'er done!
Brian - you have to get a simple BERCO cab. I installed one - rather easy - I did a video of the install. It will keep all that blowing snow off of you. They are only $300. Great video of you clearing. I am not sure with your ROPS what cab they may have - but it is worth taking a look.
Thanks for the video. We just had an 18" Nor'easter yesterday. I am in warm sunny Florida missing the fun. You and your Kubota are doing a great job of engineering and moving the snow. It takes skill to read the wind to find right place to land the snow and keep it off you and the tractor.. I like your laughing at the results. I have had a rear mounted PTO driven 60" snowblower for years. It does a fantastic job. Front mounted makes the work easier and faster. Also, nice house. Large garage to keep equipment.. Looks like you should plan your clearing pattern a bit more. If possible you want to only blow snow over snow you are going to clear later. If you throw the snow over an already cleared area you risk having some or all of it land on the cleared area and having to clear it again. Maximizing your going forward time is also a good idea. That means cleaning a turnaround area at the end of your swath is generally a good idea, unless back up time is less than turn around time. Be aware of the wind and plan to work with it as much as possible. If you do have to blow into the wind keep the chute discharge down as much as possible. Mother nature always has the biggest snow blower. Nice setup.
I had the same setup but with a 2350, had it for 7 years run the blower in float with no down pressure. The skids wear out fast. Halfway up the shut is a safety guard that keeps you from putting your hand in the shut, you will need to remove this in wet snow or it will plug up. There is a place in Indiana that sells snow cabs for around $1000. My rig had 23 hp, but wish it had like 26 or so. Had to sell mine do to bad health, Miss it badly.
I think you may be referring to Original Tractor Cabs. As of 2022 the cabs are $1299.00. They do have removable doors. Certain models only have one door. You can add safety glass, wipers, lights and so forth for extra money.
Right now I have about 15 inches on the ground, snow continuing to fall. But the temperature is plus 2C or about 36F. Too warm! The sticky wet snow just chokes up my snowblower, right away. Frustrating!

3 things... No place did I see "deep snow". In most areas, it was less than a foot deep. You don't seem to know where to point the chute, as you sprayed snow all over your garage doors, and also aimed the chute toward places you had already cleared You go too fast for that small rig. You aren't plowing it. You are supposed to be blowing it, and that requires you to let the auger keep up.
Brian, I have about a 20-22 degree incline from the road up to the house. It appears you may have a steep driveway incline as well. I looked at the GR 2120 and the bx 1880 and determined that hp (17) and PTO 13.5 may not be enough to move that heavy snow blower up that steep a hill. Have now gone to check out a 2017 bx 2370 ( same as yours) with the 24hp and good PTO output which should do the job. I get conflicting statements from salespeople so I am completely negating their opinions and going to owners themselves. SO, is your driveway steep? Have you had any problems moving snow? Would you buy the same unit again? I would appreciate any suggestions or comments you may wish to convey and , I have to say, I grinned from ear to ear each time you laughed during your video. It made my day. Thanks and best of luck to you
My drive way is 12 degrees. (and therefore my front lawn) This tractor could use more power when the snow is wet. If I was going to start over i would have gone 26. When i mow with the bagger (both running mid and rear pto) it bogs. I do not think a 18 HP will deal with a driveway as steep as yours.

funny how I keep seeing videos of guys with small driveways using big tractors with big snowblowers, and guys with large driveways using small tractors with small snowblowers.
Brian, did you have the tractor in 4x4 and was it turtle-slow or full speed. I just got a Kubota BX2370 and the 50" blower. Also got the heated cab with windshield wiper. We average about 6-12' each winter, with many exceeding that upper limit. (NE of Syracuse, NY). Love the tractor! Oh year, good demo video especially with the sloped driveway like mine. Cheers, Bob

i have a BX2350 with a rear mount 3pt snowblower and a heated cab. i am far from rich, im a truck driver. i make decent money but not rich. i was smart and bought my machine lightly used but not new. its 12 years old and only has 421 hours on it (extremely low for a diesel). buy my setup new $20K, i took a loan out with kubota credit $8,300. only bought it may and have less then $3k left to pay. people will piss away $20-30K on a disposable car. i drive old cars and had not problem spending that on a tractor that has many decades of life left. typical engine life on a diesel is easily 5k hours.

Yep, ill baredown and take a full pass on 1st then depending on depth n consistency, I take 1/2 to 2/3 the next passes

I mounted wear pads on the skids. Still on the first set after 6 winters

You go too fast for that small rig. You aren't plowing it. You are supposed to be blowing it, and that requires you to let the auger keep up.
Why ot slow down so it can have a chance to auger the snow in through the blower better, it's not a plow!
One recommendation.... Put a plow on your pickup. Warm and dry is a big plus! Lol
