  • Snow blowing. L series Kubota clearing snow from the first storm of the winter. I use the L series Kubota to blow snow from my driveway and my neighbors driveway. This was the first significant snowfall of the winter here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The temperature was mild causing the snow to be very wet and heavy. #kubotatractor #winterstorm #uppermichigan

    Really like your video , just found your channel, I have a L series Kubota and I live in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia just north of Washington State, now I have my snow blower mounted on the rear and a snow blade on the front. Reason ,I have a 600 ft driveway steep uphill with a switch back. When we get a good snow like today I plow downhill first pass then blow the rest. You have to note that the change in elevation from the bottom of my driveway is 300 ft lower than our top parking by the house. I snow blower on the front is great but the snow blade on the front in the beginning of the snow season does not throw rocks everywhere. so I blade for the first while and when she freezes up good then I blow it all a way. I also have to chain up all four wheels.
    You did a great job.

      @@Lifeinthe906 my Craftsman has a 18 horsepower Briggs and Stratton opposed twin engine. It does surprisingly well. I have yet to kill it blowing deep drifts. I live in the wide open so I get drifts bad here. Yeah more horsepower would be nice but it's hard to give up on something that has been super reliable since 06 when I got it used.

    G’morn’n Mike, sure is a nice rig you have there.
    We do commercial snow removal here in The Deep South of Michigan. We use walk behind blowers for sidewalks. The blowers obviously do a much tidier job than a plow and it’s a service I’d love to offer to our higher end clients.
    However our residential drives are so scattered that it wouldn’t be practical for us.
    Sure is ideal for your application though😎
    Bless’ns to ya my good man!

    Nice work with the Kubota L. I noticed you are running only front wheel chains, how is this working for you as opposed to chains on all 4? I have a 4060L and debating whether to buy chains and if I do, whether I should start with only a single pair and see how it goes.

    • @Lifeinthe906
      @Lifeinthe906  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Chris. We went with the front only because of clearance concerns on the rear. I've heard if you want them on the rear you need to install wheel spacers to clear the fenders.The front chains seem to work pretty well on their own.
