  • I decided to put the snowblower on the tractor for this big snow storm. We received around 10-12”. I wanted to see how it would make out doing the church. Well the blower works very well but its to small for the big parking lot. It can do it but its a lot slower compared to the snow pusher. I did have some issues that i have not run into before. First for some reason the lift portion of the blower stopped working. If i slowed the rpm of the tractor it would lift it but not at high idle. I talked with dealer they never heard of anything like it. I think possibly could be a bad seal in the lift side of the hydraulic cylinder. Or a bad hose. I haven’t had time to search it any further at this time but please let me know if you have had the same issue and what it was. The next issue was the air breather filter comply iced up. I assume because I was blowing against the wind. Sometimes you don’t have a lot of choice. Live and learn. I really need to mount it on front loader so it’s easier to go from blade to blower. Next fall I will do that. Hope you enjoy the video any questions please leave below. Enjoy the adventure

I Have a Grand L3560 .. it takes me 2 minutes to remove the LA 805 loader and probably 15 to install the subframe for the blower . No idea why people complain about how long it takes to swap, also with the blower I've never needed my loader on , keep my 72" box blade on to pull anything id need the loader for anyways then just blow it away with the front end

I need to switch from my blade to blower every time it storms. Some places the blower is best option where other places a blade or snow pusher is better. The first year i had my tractor i had blower on all winter. Unfortunately I don’t have an indoor area i can leave the loader. I had a very difficult time to put the loader back on because there was snow and made the tractor uneven. In my case I have expanded my plowing and need to switch from blower to blade to often to remove loader. So i haven’t used blower very much in past three years. I agree it’s easy to change. But it’s not fun in the driveway in a snowstorm. Thanks for watching

Front mounted may be easier to use but the pain of removing and replacing if you need the loader is the main reason I went with the rear mount. The rear mount being 1/2 the cost of front mounted also played a big factor in my decision as well. I grew up with rear mounted on the farm so I was very familiar with their operation.

Yea I agree removing loader when I need it is a pain. I will fix that next year. I am going to have it be able to attach to the loader

I completely agree. If you go front mounted, you've pretty much dedicated the tractor to snow removal, which is fine if you can do that but not everybody can.

At one point you had the chute blowing it almost straight up it looked like you were trying to send the snow back to where it came from.

I went with the front mount blower because I am not cheap and I wanted to save my neck. If you take half bites after the first full bite you will be much happier. Hope your cough is better.

Thanks for watching. I agree that’s y I purchased the front blower. Unfortunately I have contracted bigger areas to do and the blower isn’t the answer for all.

Took me 20 minutes, total, to remove my FEL and install my blower!! This included moving stuff around in the shop to gain access to the blower and sub frame. Another 5 minutes to put the FEL back into the spot the blower came from.
Level ground, in your case, or dollies for the implements makes it much easier!!

    • @puddlejumper3534

Yes it would be much easier if I had a place in my garage that I could use some sort of dolly. But not able to

Note: Neck arthritis does affect Front vs Rear Mount snow blower decisions.

Yes for sure if i was buying my tractor today knowing that I know now i would go with the rear blower and only use it ere and there. I have decided next week that i am going to modify my front blower to go on my loader arms. Same as “Mr brisyl” did

I was going to say the same. It’s all about listening to and feeling your machine. Especially with that wet concrete snow. Bring a beer next time, slow down and enjoy some relaxation time. 😅

Nice, but all I kept thinking in the beginning was pitch lower. Don't let the wind screw up what you're trying to do.

Blowing into the wind is difficult and affects visibility. On the other hand, property circumstances may require blowing snow into the wind.

@@puddlejumper3534 yep variety. . . but what is is the dependant variable? A garage door ! Apprach it wit your loader "nose" and .drag back. Seems I backblade many obstacles.

    • @puddlejumper3534
      @puddlejumper3534  ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@itsruf1 it more the size. I find the big parking lot I do the box push blade works best. It’s probably a bit big for my tractor but I get it done. My own driveway is long. The push box blade doesn’t work well for the long. the blower is best on my long drive. I have a couple rental units one works best with blower and the our would be best with a blade. I do use a rear box blade to back drag. It also adds weight. So for me it’s a mixture. Everything is close together so I can switch out easily. Thanks for the comments. Enjoy

I will take my rear mounted blower and loader with pusher. For what kubota front mounts cost, I would buy a rear inverted.
