- In this video I am switching over my grapple bucket to my material bucket and clearing a late-spring snowfall in Wisconsin. I started at 12 noon when I was done all the rest of my neighbors were out doing their driveway also plus a bonus I saw a snowmobile go right down the middle of the road.Again please like comment and subscribe. Getting rear mount for mine. Bucket struggles with 6 ft drifts down a 800 ft driveway

It is incredible how much snow you can move with the BX series tractors. Since Dec 24, we have had upwards of 300cm (118") of snow here in NL Canada so far. Every bit of it was removed via my 2015 BX25. The only negative I can say about it is the loader height will only stack it 5-6'. I now have a 55" rear blower on order for it. Was thinking about a front mounted blower but the bucket is so convenient for cleanup I refuse to give it up. BTW, I live in a rural area with a 300' driveway and roughly 1/3 acre of parking space to keep clear.
you need chains on it but I was told I only put chains on the back never put them in the front because you can rip up to your front end especially on the small compact tractors.and some weight in the back would help too.

I had a JD 2305 when I lived in North Dakota. My best snow removal setup was with a 3 point blade on the back to pull or push the snow to the end of the driveway and use either the loader or blade to pile it up like what you did

A real good friend of mine had a Kubota with all attachments, helps out alot with fluid filled tires, chains, or a rack of weights.,or wheel weights, his could do anything you asked it too.

Nice rig‼️ In many ways I wish I had a bucket. However, time is money and I just wondering if a blade or blower would be faster? Still and all if the snow is WET (like it was this day) I can see the bucket having some advantages 🇨🇦
I have the same tractor. I always leave my backhoe on for one reason. Traction on the rear wheels. If you don’t have a backhoe, you need some attachment mounted for better traction, anything is better than nothing.
Need tire chains and some weights on the back

Love my kabota for snow a snow blower takes forever on a 300’ driveway with gravel that’s just to my house then another 200’ to the barn

😅 I wonder though if it would be better to remove the snow while facing down the driveway? I would back up one time going away from the garage, dragging the bucket and then turn around and get on that clean spot. Then you are using gravity to help you push and scoop down towards the street. Love and sympathy from Florida.✌😬👍 Looking to buy the BX23S.
I am aware though that the gravity works to help you put snow in the bucket when doing it the way you are accomplishing the work. We have 5 acres in the woodlands of Florida, so I would prefer the L2501 and skip the backhoe and get just the front loader, a brush cutter, box blade and tiller. My wife and son want the backhoe, so this means getting the BX23S. As they are buying it, what ever they get, if it is Kubota, it is going to work out. This means I can dig a small pond with a creek and waterfall.

Hey Dan great job clearing, fun. I see you getting a bit tippy as I well remember doing, thought you would have those fine wheel weights on. Have you got Rim Guard? I decided to go that way on my new one so between the Rim Guard and my hitch weights I figure I have about 4 bills back there which really makes a difference. Hope all is well with you.
Yeah I watch a couple of my videos I got rim guard and wheel weights I think it's about a hundred and seventy-five pounds per tire
Nice saw holder/scabbard! Make it or buy it? (My lil' ol' Kubota doesn't have a folding ROPS, which also would be nice sometimes!)
I made them scabbards for the chainsaw.
You bake PVC pipe at 350 degrees for 10 minutes in your wife's oven. then mold it around a piece of plywood about the same size as your chainsaw bar.
Cut them a part mout to a 2 x 6 or what ever and project complete. Use
heavy gloves PVC cools quickly you got to work fast. But if you screw it up it's only a short piece of PVC pipe who cares..
Oh yeah one other important note when you mold it around your ply wood you have to sandwich Clamp it with two other boards to get it nice at flat. I used two C clamps
You need a weight box for the three point hitch lol only cost around $200.00

Cut two pieces of PVC 2 length bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Molded around your chainsaw bar I actually used welding gloves clamp it and let it cool. After it cools drill it and mount it to whatever you want.
Be careful don't burn your fingers

Hmm the bucket does the job but takes forever , if your in an area that doesn’t get a lot of the white stuff normally, then the blower may not be the best choice have you thought of using a 62 in angle blade on the back with a box pull on the front ? It may be more useful, other gave also rigged together something to bolt on the bucket using a plate and rubber blade edge the use som bolt on hooks, it’s a option to look at if funds are a little tight

Hand shovel your steps and walkways into the driveway, hop in the tractor and back drag everything to the mouth of the driveway and leave it in a windrow, then readjust and push everything into the same spot you put your stockpile, stacking snow as needed. Throw down some salt/sand and you'll be on the couch with a fresh coffee before you know it
Does your loader have a float mode
Does the BX series have the float mission feature? I know my b2320 has it.
There is a float detent on front end loader.

Plowing I recommend keeping your tractor RPMs at 25 at most. Idling it higher isn’t giving you anything more than a little bit of speed and your hydraulics will act very fast which isn’t what you want when you’re carrying that uneven load. I noticed a ton of bouncing in your video. No reason to idle up so high. Idle lower, take it slower and wait to back drag. Don’t carry your load so high either. Great way to tip especially on incline id also recommend for actually taking passes to put it in float and keep the bucket level. Regardless keep it up. Just take it as advice and not as criticism. Just trying to help

Any regrets on that machine, considering getting one for snow removal and odd jobs. Nearly killed myself shovelling and plowing last year by hand. Size, cab, too light, just right? What do you figure the savings are compared to having hired someone for all the things you use it for, minding of course they hold there value really well incase you ever want to sell it down the road. Also it’s just plain fun too!
I would never be able to afford to hire someone to do the labor check out my other videos and you'll see I use it for wood cutting and lifting heavy logs.
I like that it's a compact tractor because I can get it in and out of my garage very easily.
But when I'm working in the woods I wished it was one size bigger with larger Tires & More front end loader strength. And another thing I need to mention is attachments cost money and the tractor is only as good as the attachments that are on it. I encourage you to watch the rest of my videos
Reading the comments about chains. They work great, but if you spin on the asphalt it really can scar it up quickly. Then come spring/summer you curse yourself for damaging it. Personal preference, I guess.

Hi Dan, man nice tractor. About the same size as my old Massey Ferguson GC2310. I have a bigger Massey now. I saw the chainsaw scabbard too. I just put a SawHaul on my tractor's loader arm. Come visit at my channel and you can see for yourself. I bought a 6ft snow pusher for snow removal this winter and it worked great. My GC had a pin on bucket so I used that for snow removal and I thought that It did a good job cleaning up in the winter. Take care and keep making videos, we are both regular guys trying to make the world a better place.

What's all that white stuff, our bad winters are freezing at 9 degrees Celsius. But when your like that we're 40 to 45 degrees, blink twice and break out in a sweat. Great video, it's like mental air conditioning for me.

Its not concrete it's ashfault.
You need to stop using the clutch. It isn't made to be used like the clutch on a standard transmission. Use the hydro pedals like a gas pedal instead. Need to go slow, push a little, etc. Will give you a lot more control as well.

A snow blower would have been a much wiser choice. THey throw snow AWAY from your driveway and walks, NOT next to them.

My master plan ls a ($2300 e-bay 3 pt hitch blower) but money talks and bull shits walks.
My bucket needs to stay on all winter long for firewood. so in winter for now the bucket is for wood and snow.
Maybe you'll get one for Christmas. The family will all chip in but you have to clean their driveways. lol

Darryl Flank after a couple times it’s very easy to get the hang of. First rule is always back your tractor in and plow out from garage and save backdragging for last
