Hey Thanks a lot Jerry for your generous contribution , i am planning to start giving FREE give away in form of good Agile books in future. will add this contribution there. Thanks Again ✌
One of the most insightful sessions !! I learned from Priyanka that how you can calmly explain some of the terminologies of Agile without any hesitation and simultaneously, convey that you do not have experience on that particular agile framework. I am preparing for SM interviews and this one is definitely a booster for me.🤞🏻 As always, thanks Sunand for creating such videos.
2nd Part 👉 th-cam.com/video/bbuxEGa9pNk/w-d-xo.html ⭐🦸🏻♂️Helpful Agile Books which every scrum master should have🦸🏻♂️⭐ 1- Scrum Insights for Practitioners: amzn.to/3BEhmbp 2- The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: amzn.to/3GJK66z 3- start with why: amzn.to/3k1L0S8 4- the scrum field guide amzn.to/3mENMyo
I am from Automotive background. I am working as a SM. I can totally relate to her. There is lot of background work happening, it doesn't show as development team results/ outcome are visible upfront.
What is lead and cycle time in Agile? The Lead Time measures the time from the moment the customer makes a request to the time they receive something. The Cycle Time measures the time it takes the development team to work on the request and deliver it.
Just an observation on the question regarding the Value based metrics - Can we really say that a product feature is adding customer value if it is defect free. It could just mean that the feature was developed completely as per the requirement specifications but those feature specs don't help fulfill a customer need hence don't deliver the intended value. Also i don't agree when she says they consider less customer feedback as a mark of the increment being successful,it could again mean that the customer is just not engaging enough with the product and hence feedback is minimal. Would love to know your thoughts on this Sunand
small answer is yes, i agree on your both points.at the same time, this is not that simple as look like. For any project , the main objective is to produce value, but how you measure value, who compute value, when, where project value is determine? businesses have financial goal along with non-financial goals like customer satisfaction, product innovation, and employee satisfaction etc. Objectives also tailored to the different levels within an organization, which varies according to need of organizations
Thanks for this video.. I want to move into scrum master role.. its informative and genuine with technical terms like productbacklog, product owner, scrum metrics like capacity planning, velocity, user stories, burn down charts, burnup charts, spike, technical debt, artifacts, working software, business value, inspection, adaption, coaching, mentoring, sprint goal, retrospective, scenarios of not performing team, standup, backlog refinement, transparency, learning from the mistakes what went wrong, .. I think I can qualify as a scrum master..
Thankyou soo much for sharing that u have to fail before getting success. I am aspiring scrum master, and your question and answers are really helpful. Thanks a lot
Great Interview!! I am so far at the question about the metrics. Adding a little more about the Burndown chart, team velocity, even the retrospective is a good metric to measure the product quality and value delivered.
Cracking interview is easy; real test starts when you start to work... 😀 and Scrum is not anymore a new concept; You have to make unlearn team members many things which they have assumed or read from somewhere. I suggest Manual/functional QAs try to learn Python or brush up Java concepts and invest in learning Cloud technologies
Thanks a ton both of you... You guys are doing amazing job. It helps lot of people out there who actually preparing for the scrum master. However I have one question here, "having experience in managing people in finance can they become scrum master in technology"? Your advise please !!? 🙂
Priyanka rocks... one comment is that please share the inputs on Challenges which you gave the information, did not made me convince it as a challenge.. but you gave a beautiful insight on retrospective methods .... metrics again useful one .. @Sunand.. please share the challenges part with some 2-3 cases
Hi Sunand, can you cover few questions on metrics likewhich metrics a scrum master uses to track the progress of the sprint and the project. Burn down and burn up are two, velocity metrics and apart from these three what all metrics a scrum master uses in real world .
There is one guy Saket Bansal from izenbridge. He is talking too much but nothing much relevant to the question's answer. However Priyanka did pretty well. All answers are up to point and short. Thank you
Hi Harsh, we should respect everyone's viewpoint. Saket sir is a veteran in this field. You may disagree, and like other, it's your choice , but let's act responsible online . Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. Keep watching.
Hi Sunand @CareersTalk , Was going through the video. i have one question here as she mentioned at 13:58 "i will ask my PO to get me some additional resources " what does it mean exactly ? as your team is already working on current sprint backlog dont have bandwidth so you mean anyone from other team would work on that or what i dont understand this part like what the additional resources you will request from product owner to complete that userstory? could you elaborate please?
Hi Sunand, Currently im working development side with 4 yrs of experience, now i would like to change my career to management side, what would you suggest me, is scrum master is good for me and my career. Thank you.
Could someone let me know the metric - commitment reliability and product backlog health and how it is calculated ? Are there any tools to guage them ?
1) no of user story committed/ no of user story done at end of Sprint 2-A healthy backlog typically includes stories at various levels of refinement. PB health is 2x or 3x the velocity of team, so velocity of team is lets say 30 SP , ideally PB should have 60 or 90 SP worth of user stories refined , ordered
Hi Sunand, I need your help. These days I get calls from few companies which they are looking only for Immediate joiners or they are looking for someone who are serving notice period. I do not have any offers in hand so I don't want to resign from my existing job and take that risk. I work in a captive company and I prefer to join in a Captive or a Product based company. I am unable to get calls or emails from such Big companies. Any tips for me?

After my MTech in electronics and one year struggle i directly got scrum master role in small IT company...but when i want to switch my job to another company I am not getting calls.is it a reason that I am from non-IT background.plz, guide.
Honestly every one condition is different , it may be the case but i have seen people from non-it background doing good SM job. Also why you want to switch in just 1 years? i would say spend more time , In small IT company you can learn lots of things compare to big one, utilize this time by reading good books on agile(that's the only thing which help you) , later on do 1-2 certification( only when you have hands on experience)
one question..do scrum master have role to play about the model of delivery between waterfall and Azile, I strongly believe the decision will be taken by service delivery manager/Project owner as this is also connected to budget planning..please suggest
It's vary from organization to organization. Some time budget are different and mode of delivery suggest by customer or vendors . Watch our last year session on 10 types of budget contracts
