My wife’s ride is an R1S LE. Customer service is quite good. Vehicle is superb, software is good, but needs a lot of refinement moving forward. There are regular software updates and the R1S is getting better as time goes on. As was said in the video (paraphrasing), “expect some issues when you are in the cutting edge of a new company “. Maybe Tesla had bad customer service previously but I've had very excellent experiences with the service center and customer service. They respond in the app very fast and the guys at the service center and mobile service were ridiculously nice.
When Rivian starts installing NACS-compatible charging ports and the pricing is comparable to other EVs, I would be interested in getting a Rivian vehicle.

we had the R1S for 3 months.. we would fix wind noise, . offer the 400miles with the new Rivian motors and match the price to Model X plaid.. aside from that its a great SUV but not sure if we would pay today's prices for the current Quad Motor if they can easily over the longer range batteries and newer motors.
As a shareholder, thanks for promoting Rivian and trying to put Rivian's issues in a positive light. Rivian vehicles may be overpriced and lack basic features, but it's early. Rivian may have more flaws than other BEV makers, such as Tesla and Ford. But if we don't get investors and buyers to stay motivated and buy more shares and more Rivian vehicles, then Rivian will never get the traction needed to become a mass production BEV seller. So thanks again for not harping on lack of Apple Play, defective interface, defective bed cover, lack of glove compartment and high price and instead focusing on really important features such as able to carry passengers and cargo.
Damn, 25¢ a kWh off-peak is pricy, especially when you consider the higher cost for all the other things you use electricity for that can’t be shifted to off-peak. At those rates and with so much sunshine, solar makes so much sense in California. I’m paying less than 8¢ a kWh with no time of use restrictions.
Tesla customer service was exemplary in the beginning, and then they turned into a typical if not worse car company. Hopefully Rivian does not change that aspect of the delivery experience.
