I'm just gonna say that Blizzard would have free reign over my checking account if I could paint, collect, and play with an army of Warcraft models like I can with Warhammer.
Whilst the face is the obvious wow (geddit?) factor on this mini, my favourite bit was the purple shading on the gold trim - blew my mind how good that turned out.
I travelled to Minnesota to visit my family and went to the Source with my brother. It was such a treat to see minis there that I had watched you paint. They look even better in person!
Fantastic video or your processes! As a WoW player since vanilla, I really appreciated you showing us your rare opportunity to paint something out of the norm of miniatures that is relevant to me. Your NMM/TMM style was really cool, and that purple on the trim was ::chef's kiss::
Congrats Scott! You definitely earned this and commissioning you was such a smart move for Blizzard. Also, I love these custom model design, creation, & paint videos. The incredible amount of work that goes into these doesn't go unnoticed. These are my most re-watched videos cause its just so dang satisfying so see the process start to finish.
I wholeheartedly agree that this is some of your best TMM work - I love the use of color in it- it's super rich, even though the majority of the color is still a desaturated white-yellow gold.
Best camera work of any mini painter on the internets. ;). I can actually see and learn at the same time. One of your best videos and dialogue. Congrats.
Meeting life long friends in WoW that I've met irl, a bit over a decade spent in the arena with the boys. I love WoW and I love minis this is one of the best collabs I've ever seen. Shoutout to Blizz for picking the right creator. This is awesome and I hope to see you in Azeroth.
What an awesome collab. Would never have thought Blizzard doing something like this. Very cool. When will Blizz start selling high quality 55mm or larger scale busts for painting. Sylvanas Bust would be sick.
That looks soooooo epic man! Great job, Blizzard chose correctly! Making it a personal video too, relating to your experiences with WoW. It also helped me create friendships for life, I even attended the wedding of one of the friends I made through WoW and I was even his best man!
Dude, I only played vanilla WoW until the first expansion. No clue who that character is but you always do amazing work. Kudos to the Mini Maniac and his _l33t_ skillz.
I used to play WCIII online when I was about 12. I was in the second best guild in EU! The guild all transferred over to WoW when it came out. Good times.
It is fantastoc to see your work get recognised by such a massive company outside of mini gaming. That bust is simply stunning, it even caught my wife's eye (not any esay feat 😂).
This was a nice video to watch while taking a break from leveling in The War Within! It’s also inspired me to make some time between playing WoW in the next week to get some painting in. I’ve got some 3D printed Warcraft minis begging for some paint.
I wanna paint Spooky Purple Women too! No chance we are getting the STL on this one huh? Bust seems very "Open" to expermient with so many easy to reach surfaces. Hell, painting up my own Xalatath might make me interesed in purchasing the expansion.
I too have fond memories of playing World of Warcraft. It's the only time I've eaten an entire sleeve of Oreos in a single day. But what are you gonna do? Raiding takes energy.
Great video, not a warcraft player but loved the bust, and what you dud with the hair was brilliant and such good timing as it has given me tipscabd ideas on the tail of the gryph-stalker I'm currently painting. Thanks for that Scott.
In the videos where you use the quote, you missed the oppertunity to say "jobs done" when finishing the bust. Congrats on the partnership with Blizzard, hopefully you'll be producing more busts/painting videos from their franchise :)
I love the constant before/after shots in this video, or comparisons between the back/front when a step was only applied to one side. It really helps to see the impact of each discrete step as a viewer. Your bust painting videos are always my favorite. Your HoN one made me very emotional as I have a similar story with my school friendship group and League of Legends.
Man i reckon some OSL would of been great to give a more moody visual. Some spooky lighting from bellow with opposing colors or something like a green. That gold trim is legit tho, super crisp
I also like purple people. That shoulder armor was making me think of The Shredder though, I wanted it to have razor edges and maybe be a little bloodied on one side.
Dude, this is so dope! I remember spending as much free time as I could playing WoW.. I can certainly relate to some of the experiences you've talked about! My group of WoW friends were planning to come to my wedding, however Covid had other ideas about that.. fortunately we've since been able to hang out IRL. I have been tempted to fire up the sub again.. I bought this last expansion with the idea of playing again but never even loaded it up.. so sad. I'm also curious to know if the STL or Mini will be available for purchase.. Thanks for sharing!!!
Mystery of 4th grade shirt is solved: You thought late 90s and early 2000s skateboarding was cool and wore oversized clothes to seem like a dope skater even though you could barely Ollie. You grew a significant amount since then, and your correct fashion choices from elementary school now save you money by effectively doubling your adult wardrobe.
Want to paint this model? I have for free on my webstore!

Xal'atath turned out so beautifully! 🥲
You guys should get with Scott and the sculptor and official release this bust and maybe even more wow buts / miniatures it would be a smash hit
I'm just gonna say that Blizzard would have free reign over my checking account if I could paint, collect, and play with an army of Warcraft models like I can with Warhammer.
@@Spiraticus I agree 100%
Thank you for commenting and sharing the video!!
Make the bust available so we can all take a crack at it! Good publicity!
If Blizzard sold good 32mm scale styrene miniatures, I'd buy them.
My life for Ner'zhul
@@Miniac "You're the King? Well, i didn't vote for you"

I'd also get league of legends minis. Some of those heroes are cool.
You can do it yourself
As an amateur painter, and lifetime WoW player, this is such an amazing opportunity that they gave you. Couldn't be more hyped for you!
Whilst the face is the obvious wow (geddit?) factor on this mini, my favourite bit was the purple shading on the gold trim - blew my mind how good that turned out.
Blizz fumbled, but Scott recovered. They really contacted the right person for this. Incredible job my man! Be proud of this one.
I was thinking similar, I abhor blizz, as a company, but really happy to see one of my favorite painters getting props from mainstream companies.
I travelled to Minnesota to visit my family and went to the Source with my brother. It was such a treat to see minis there that I had watched you paint. They look even better in person!
"how it still fits me" cuts to back view of the shirt held together with string across his back "is a mystery"...
"Apparently I have a thing for purple ladies" - me, with Sylvanas since WC3
Me in BfA because I never got to play WoW as a teen when BC and WotLK was live 😓

Amazing model and paintjob, that gold trim turned out incredible! Big congrats on the collab Dude! Well Earned.

Dude, your painting skills are amazing. Also, though as an aspirational content creator (in a different niche) your videos are truly inspirational.

Awesome video Scott. I am really glad that you are uploading more regularly. You were actually a huge part of getting me into the hobby.

Xal'atath!!! Your work is truly captivating! The balance between the cosmic elements and the powerful presence of the figure is just stunning.
Used purple to shade gold for over 10 years. Its by far my fav shade on gold!
I absolutely LOVE this video Scott ❤ Like, it's so good to just sit and watch you paint a miniature from start to finish.
Really love your energy in this video. I can feel how excited you are in this one. I'm excited for you!
One of my favourite mini painters with one of my favourite games! I love what you did with her, plus, the stories from your childhood were sweet
I used to play WCIII online when I was about 12. I was in the second best guild in EU!
The guild all transferred over to WoW when it came out. Good times.
Love for WoW and the desire to see that in a physical form, brought me to miniatures and thus to the Miniac. This video rocked.
ridiculously gorgeous. love dem purps
came here for inspiration (see steal) on the galaxy orbs for a cosmic horror project, killer look!

That’s awesome Scott! What a sick opportunity!
Incredible work! the bust sculpt and paint job is great. Video was great too, really made me want to paint one myself.
That's awesome! Congratulations, Scott!
Congratulations, Scott. Looks great.
Super cool moving quicktime shot of you painting in what looks like high speed stop motion with the camera moving!
Love when you paint busts dude, it's so Intuitive and always look amazing!
DUDE!!! HELL YEAH CONGRATS ON THE SPONSOR!

Warcraft and Mini Painting?!? Two great tastes that taste great together!
The gold on this is beautiful, beautiful mini and great video 👌
I too have fond memories of playing World of Warcraft. It's the only time I've eaten an entire sleeve of Oreos in a single day. But what are you gonna do? Raiding takes energy.
Oh, Boy!! It looks like stopping a cutscene.❤🔥😹
would love to see this again in 1/6th scale or larger so you might be able to back lit the eyes and use transparent resin for the spheres.
Great video, not a warcraft player but loved the bust, and what you dud with the hair was brilliant and such good timing as it has given me tipscabd ideas on the tail of the gryph-stalker I'm currently painting. Thanks for that Scott.
This turned out great. I really like the addition of the orbs.
The paint job turned out great!
This was awesome. Loved the Video and loved the trip down memory lane.
Damn that's sick blizzard reached out to have you work on a mini!!!
Looks Great! Would love to see more busts painting. Especially some grim/dark busts.
Whoa bro! Working for blizz you've made our childhood dreams come true :P Also seems like her ear disappeared into the.. void kek
Man I love this video. It makes me feel like I can paint like a pro now.

I really hope we can get his as a retail piece and maybe some more other super stars.. garrosh 32mm model would be 🙏
Playing the game and seeing this video. “Chefs kiss”
These types of videos are best painting single mini, I learn a lot and enjoy whole video
More these please !
Cool I'm currently painting ghouls from wrath of the lich king , I've not played it yet but it's my introduction to world of warcraft
2:48 plus you can use Tamiya airbrush thinner and it won't Gunk up like it does with other paints. Found that out the hard way. 🫤

WarCraft and Miniatures? Boy, do I have news for you :D
Great Video Scott!
Sweet, sweet nostalgia!
9:45 Masking putty makes her look like an enemy from a horror game. Like Bloodborne or something 😂
I NEEEEED a wargame set in the Warcraft universe, I would pick that up INSTANTLY
great job Scott! I love your tmm approach. it looks great here
Awesome video! I'm hyped for the war within! seems like it'll be fun
Some of your best work is displayed in this. That TMM is spicy.
Dude. That is absolutely magnificent! I can't believe that's TMM! What sorcery is this???
Awesome painting as usual
Duuuude. That looks so good! Great work
Picking Xal’atath was a no-footer I mean no-brainer
If there's two things people like, it's undead elves and genuine villains xD
Damn, getting comissioned by blizzard is incredible nerd-cred! I would brag forever tbh xD
I also like purple people. That shoulder armor was making me think of The Shredder though, I wanted it to have razor edges and maybe be a little bloodied on one side.
WOW!
Congrats!
I'd love to get me some 54mm or 75mm minis or busts from Blizzard to paint!
Absolutely dope man 👏
Waiting for this vid to blow up 🤞
Absolutely amazing painting skills!
Oh yes, that bust turned out fantastic!!
Excellent work as always, also, your outro has a Devin Townsend vibe to it.

Great video, Scott. Love to see more like this.
Hell yes brother. Love it and love this. Great stuff ❤️
Fantastic job! Any chance this stl could be give out or sold to the general community? I wanna paint my own Xal’Atath!
Never thought of trying NMM with TMM paints...mskes it a bit less intimidating to try.
Wow, Miniac/WoW collab??? Yep THATS cool
2 of my friends met in WoW 11 years ago....they got married in RL, and have been together ever since, lol.
1 minute in and this is incredibly cool, congrats Miniac!
And miniacs ultimate Nemesis is the flying purple people eater.
Great video, as always. The color change background for the finished mini shots was weird on my eyes though
Awesome bust and better paint job!
Where was this video about 3 month ago, when I wanted to paint a Night Elf inspired miniature o_O Looks great!
yes man 2v2s and 3v3s are the best thing
Boy I sure do love some TMM NMM Scott 😂
Amazing result!
