If you enjoyed this video with Vince, check out the other video where I tried to copy Vince's insane 60/hr a week painting schedule: th-cam.com/video/1gnUruWX-GE/w-d-xo.html
I would love to see what you could do with one of Renegade Studios' 28mm Power Ranger minis. I'm attempting to paint the original MMPR team right now, and it is HARD AF! The detail is there on the minis (mostly), but I'm not used to a lot of bright white on a mini, and then trying to get straight looking edges on those tiny arm and leg diamonds are driving me crazy!!! AARGH!
I’m comin for that Tendie
I hope there will be professional wrestling type banter.. maybe Daryl can come running in midway with a steel chair.
For the sake of being that guy. It looks like a turd. JS
I love Jon and Vince, but I am curious what colour Vince will use to speedpaint Jon's coffin after the slaughter😅
I'm using all my john bucks to see you destroy Scott in speed painting
There is another... Sam Lenz walks through the mist
Vince just calmly talking the most shit is my favorite. Because you know if your shoe was untied Vince would be the guy to tell ya and offer to tie ya up lol.
@@toebasqo5090 he actually doesn't have a different voice. He will calmly tell you when the nukes are estimated to land, and finish a slaaaaaanesh army while they are in the air as a flex.
brother not one second did he stop just blasting Scotty Boy
Wow Vince didn't even bring the slayer sword to this beat down 😂
2.5 Mims in he’s quoted Conan and Top Gun with talk of career ending, my man is locked in.
Great vid man, just finished.
Congrats Vince on winning the Golden Tendie
yeah I didn't even watch the full video yet and I knew this was the result. still gonna watch the rest of the 20 mins tho XD
Vince is the winner. But also, his mini was painted a little bit better. I thought his highlights on the cloth and the way he treated the armor was exquisite. Scott, you had the better face. On the model too.
Vince might be a baddie, but Scott is a cutie! :D
Lololol
I kind of love this format. The “speed paint interview” works really well.
It feels like the Warhammer painter’s version of eating spicy wings and interviewing…
Yeah I need more minis hot ones!
Please do this more.
Agreed, this was one of the most interesting mini painting videos I've watched in a while. I love it. Reminds me of Heroes Brush Hour on Twitch.
Yes! That was exactly what I was thinking too! Definitely a Hot Ones vibe.
The production value here is bonkers. This is a Netflix show. Also, trash-talking Vince is the most chilling thing I've seen since the original Terminator.
Agreed. I was blown away!
The influence of netflix dating shows in the intro sequence is glaring lmao I love it
"The End of Scott's Whole Career." I really thought that was going to be Jay from Eons of Battle.
The deadpan trash talk is absolutely on point 🤌 the stronger contrast on Vince's piece takes the tendie for me though
It was so chill it was just like factually describing rather than trash talking
The End of Scott's Whole Carrer?
Oops, lol. Love the fun of this one
Can this be a series, just speed painting with known painters/hobby TH-camrs. Make an army out of it and auction it at NOVA. ❤❤❤
This!
I LOVE the (mostly) fake trash talk, since we all know you love each other like brothers. Or at least nephews. Or something.
This is a really great format. The long form chat with the painting in the background is super enjoyable and not really something that exists in this space. I'd love to see a series of these where you have other creators over and paint with them. Great idea
Shit talking calm Vince is both hilarious and kinda terrifying at the same time.
1:10
Vinces tutorial videos are fantastic but also extremly matter-of-factly so I at times forget how good his humour is
His humor is so dead pan that sometimes I go “what did he just say?”.
I’ve only ever seen Vince on his own channel where he’s friendly and professional, so seeing the heaps of incredible trash talk he threw out at the start was incredible. Also loved the audio of “oh we’re hugging now” at the end. Awesome video!
Then you missed the greatest Trash talk vince ever did in his Skaven video of AoS 4 where he laid the verbal smack down on Ninjon. 😂😂😂
I thought the same.
Ofc it was Vince. Why did i ever think otherwise 🤣
that thumbnail was a big giveaway
Worth noting that Vince finished the model, by actually painting the base, while Scott didn't
That said, both are awesome paint jobs, and I'd happily run either.
Painting the base wasn't part of the challenge!!
@@Miniac And how many of us have heard "the model isn't done until you finish the base"?
I honestly can’t pick. I love the more vibrant and saturated colours of Scott’s work while I really love the contrast on the individual panels on Vince’s
In my eyes, Vince won this one by just a minimal margin. But frankly we are the biggest winners here, we get the sheer pleasure of bearing witness to two great paintings showing off their craft. Fantastic video and awesome artwork! Keep them coming. Hope to see more of these compilations.
Love the mix of "trash talk" and "shop talk", you guys have a great rapport. Who won? The viewers.
Vince has one of my favorite comedic deliveries. Big fan of seeing him do more than in just technical tutorials.
He’s Frank Oz’s long lost son
Never noticed that, but you're soooo right. A spitting image. Also, I love Muppets and Vince. Let's get Vince a Fozzy Bear to speak through. Wokka Wokka.
Hopefully Scott will learn how to spell the word CAREER before his youtube-painter "carrer" ends. 0:27
The opening of this video was genius and perfection.
From afar, I’m drawn to Scott’s ice blue armor, but zooming in, Vince really flexed on that model. Both are good, I couldn’t paint to either quality in 90 minutes, but I choose Vince.
More.
Of.
These.
Please.
Just two buddies painting & chatting along.
Mini painting can also be a social hobby.
Thank you.
Vince making the rounds... first takes he down Ninjon in the skaven challenge... then goes into Miniacs house and takes him out using Miniacs own paints!
Vincy V, were you ever caught slipping? HELL NAW... lol
Listening to two friends talk while painting is super entertaining. Back when Eons Of Battle used to do nightly streams, the best part was just listening to Jay and Nick jibber jabber with each other and interact with the audience.
Vince's intro was pure savagery and I loved it
Edit while I think Vince's model was more complete I like Scott's better visually. That Ice blue armor was *chefs kiss*
My vote goes to Scott, I like his color choices and the extra attention/contrast to the face is very noticeable. I feel a painting competition against Vince is like setting a timer until you 100% lose, this one was quick enough that by the time Vince puts on his 5x magnifying glasses it was half over xD.
For such a kind and generous man, Vince is capable of some truly terrifying smack talk. I'm looking forward to seeing this become a semi regular series!
The Golden Tendie award is so much cooler than the Golden Demons. Make it a thing! Great video lads.
I love how Vince is going for the throat of both the TUP bois. His absolute savagery is amazing and I was dying of laughter with his deadpan flexing. Thanks to both of you, both of you helped me with my painting troubles like a mentor through the videos.
2:58 really interesting to hear that vince prefers fanatic over ak 3rd gen thats a flying endorsement for the fanatic range
Hard to call which is the winner. Excellent work from both of you. Going to vote for Vince.
The king is the final moster to slay, our Scot tried... But you can't mess with the🐐
THE GOAT
I’m so glad the algorithm sent me here. Both of you Scott and Vince are legends! I absolutely enjoyed this video and I want to see more! The jabs at each other was a delight and I can’t count the amount of times your chirps made me chuckle. Thank you for that, it totally made my day. I vote more episodes like these!
Much closer than I thought going into it. Honestly, I love certain things about each mini, I probably give the edge to Vince but only at the narrowest of margins.
0:19 you chose well! One of my favorite GW sculpts of all time.
I like Scott's Ice blue armor more but I like the shading and lighting of Vince's cloth parts more
Vince and Scott talking smack was the highlight of my day
Amazing production and sharing some speed painting tips between the banter was a great touch. Thanks for sharing!
It was really close but I'd give it to vince because he did the base. Your skin and face looks better and some of the armour highlights makes it look like its not speed painting.
It's astounding how similar some parts of the armor ended looking since we see here the colour steps were widely different between you guys ! This was inspiring, great video Scott !
I think I'm going with Scott for this one. His armor was smoother, and having the eyes be that cold blue makes the model feel more alive and complete.
Loved the video, and format, seeing how you both paint in a relatively short form video was a great watch!
The presentation reminds me of the *most American* thing imaginable. Fake drama, insults flung like trendies, and some good old fashioned painting goodness and a good conversation about various nick nacks. I almost thought I was watching American Chopper again, san's chairs being flung in staged rage. XD
They both look fantastic for 90 minutes work, but I prefer Vince’s end result. Great job guys!
I think you stumbled on gold here. Speedpaint Interview/20 min. chat sesh. Man. Yes. More. This is awesome. Congrats Vince! Also congrats Scott. This was fun, thank you :)
Both are just crazy good in that time frame; see you didn't need to fudge the time to make the viewers feel bad lol
But with that being said it has to go to the Vince "The End" Venturella. He even threw out the flex having the base painted in true dominating fashion... what a savage!
Love how Vince sounds so calm yet convincing, I would believe him if he told me Santa and reindeer weren't real!
I surprisingly learned a lot by just watching these two titans paint sans deep explanation.
I love Scott's armor, but Vince's model is a complete piece with the base matching.
This is the best way to enjoy the hobby, with friend. Can’t wait for the next paint jam with my best friend.
“Thank you for giving me that power”
Oh lord, I lost it. Savage!
This was close, but I'd say Vince has an edge. His miniature is more striking from afar, better constrast.
Showing off before the competition was hilarious, love the video 😂
This video is downright wonderful in every sense. Good job Scott!!
This is someof the best content you've come up with so far. Congratulations. I hope to see more "speed-offs" in the near future with other 'tubers
This was a draw in my book. Vince has better details and transitions, but Scott has a better face and i like the more vibrant colors used. I love this format, please make more of these.
This is like the mini painting version of Hot Ones… I was expecting Scott to end with “Now Vince look down the barrel of any of these cameras and tell the people what you have going on…”
One of my favorite videos from the Miniac. Scott, you and Vince just “speed painted” WAY above my “competition” level! Inspired but kinda sad…😂
Gonna go against the grain here, but I like Scott's. The really vibrant ice blue armour is so nice!
Lmaooooo it's true! Vince is RUTHLESS 😂😂😂
I adored Vince's casual smack-talk, in the exact same tone as he would offer guidance, advice, or help. 10/10.
Vince jumps in contrast so damn quick. I figure that's part of his "speed". Which is amazing to see since his brush moves so damn slow. Mind bottling
Vince wins, somehow his mini already looks "done" even at this point. I think his focus on the face/skin at the beginning really paid off.
Firstly I think this should become a feature; invite guests on and have a speed paint beatdown with chat for fun. Then maybe have a "Grand Golden Tendie" (with two tendies/pile of tendies) for like the end of year colloseum medley between a bunch of folk.
Overall I think I like Vinces more, due to contrast and saturation choices, but there are definitely bits of Scotts model which individually win out or that I just like. Its a close run thing!
Vince fucking cracks me up every time. Dude is sooooo funny, self-aware, and talented.
I loved this so much. I love how you're not following the "standard" miniature painting videos we've come to know and love. While they're great, it's nice to see you branching out to some of the stuff you love. I'll never forget the skit you did with Jon and Sam; it's one of my favorite videos of all time, by any creator. This reminds me a lot of that.
Kinda like just the sound of the hug without showing it, this was a fun video! Lots of laughs and great painting
Casually watching you race paint and wet blending perfectly in what seems like a flash is giving me all the rage. Still can't seem to do it right! Great video!
What an incredibly wholesome video. Thanks Scott and Vince!
"But today I shall be known as THE END OF SCOTT'S WHOLE CAREER" LMFAO - just immediately opening up with maximum trashtalk, I love it. Everyone needs a bromance like these two have lol.
What a great vid! For what it’s worth, I like prefer Scott’s take on the model, because in playing games I’ve come to appreciate how higher contrast, brighter models look on the tabletop. That being said Vince’s model is painted to a such masterful level it’s unbelievable what he can do in such a short time with “crappy” 😂 paints. Bravo gentlemen.
Vince had the overall better figure. the highlights sold the texture better to me, and a painted base is the cherry on top. That said, the face on Scott's is immaculate
Vince was always going to take this due to his unmatched productivity and Scott's methodical slowness. I'm just impressed that Scott nearly finished the model rather than just painting the face and hastily slapped colour on the rest. Credit where credit is due, I like what Scott did with the face, and the... crotch jewellery.
Yo, this is easily my fav video you have posted this year. I love how natural the flow is and your cinematography is crispy as ever my dude. Well done brother. ❤️ from the US Army.
"Are you a brush licker, Vince?" A sentence only a miniature painter would understand.
I agree with all the others saying this is a great format. Would love to see more speed painting interviews with other creators. Great stuff guys, and love both of your works.
Thanks to both of you for always creating great content and being champions of our hobby!
I really like when you guys collaborate on your videos.. so cool I love both channels and you both bring so much to this community! Very much appreciated! I really like how you both painted this mini.. it's actually sitting in my back log.. I broke the damn sword tip off that sticks out the back of her hair.. what a shame.. but it's still cool to see this mini come to life.. I think if I were to paint this mini today i'd lean more towards Vince's style.. but both looked amazing.. just gonna say that.. any way, thanks for sharing!
Vince got this one. He's such a fantastic painter. Love this segment! Keep going with it 😊
I really liked this format. Seems like a podcast, but you're painting at the same time.
I’d honestly watch y’all just ramble and paint. It’s super fun!
I absolutely love this format! The perfectly natural way Scott interviews Vince worked really well alongside the mini painting. I would love to see more videos like this!
Both minis look great. The contrast on Vince's armor was fantastic, but I preferred the face on Scott's more. I liked the way Vince broke up the red, but Scott's choice of armor color made it more compelling. For speed painted minis, they're both stunning. I like the colors Scott chose for the armor and his having the better face has me giving the edge to Scott. Great work all around!
Absolutely hilarious. Really great collaboration. Loved the video editing. Loved the smack talk. Loved the painting. Nice job lads
LMAO!!!!!!! Brilliant Slamdowns from Vince and nice to see him from a different angle.
this is great. keep the speed painting challenges coming! I think it would be cooler if you guys would vote on a mini to paint or so. and also pick something that both of you are not so familiar with. thank you for the inspiriations!
Gotta go with Vince for the Golden Tendie honestly just because I like the muted colors more. Both look outstanding!
Vince. How the heck do you guys get so much accomplished in such short time. Definitely something to aspire to. Thanks.
Big respect for Vince refusing to pull punches against a friend. My man said, "I am the best and you are about to see why. I'm gunna kill you kid."
What a treasure 😂
I have on my shelf a figure from the LOTR range. A Minas Tirith lancer. I received it base coated black and was given 10 minutes to paint it fishing colours out of a box. By the time the 10 minutes were up, there were 8 colours on the model picked at random. I figured I did not have time to pick and choose. Now that was a challenge. One guy got disqualified for painting a teddy bear on the horse's cowl. The organiser was annoyed the bear had a t-shirt but no pants. Good times.
Ok, I have enjoyed previous videos you have done with Vincey V. But this one really showcased your repour and frankly it was the most endearing part of this video.
I really need to find a buddy painter to hang out with...
between this and Jay from EOB, Scott really just really setting himself up to get got
I think Vince did better NMM and robes, but I think Scott did a much better face. But dang, still really impressive for speed painting these
Savage critique from Vince at the end there, I hope you guys can patch things up one day.
Vince wins the tendie, but mostly so you and John can do a Rocky montage to win it back.
Great video!
Great video! Excellent paint jobs by both, but Vince deserves the Golden Trophy.
It all comes down to one thing. The finished base. LOL Great job to both of you
If I could paint half as well as either of you I'd be super chuffed! Vince for me, but they are both awesome! Thanks guys, I really enjoyed watching.
This was rather entertaining, thank you both. The winner is whoever can do the most pushups.
Vince took this one just because of all the finite details and the basing. Both are great though!
This was a blast to watch! Would love to see more of these speedpainting duels. Do one with Ninjon next!
