I thought Conan's hair looked like an obvious wig, but other than that, it was a really well done short. I thought it was interesting that Conan was not really the focal point, he was a supporting character. The story was really about the narrator and his regret. Conan's limited screen time, made the moments where he did appear all the more powerful. It was a really excellent way to handle an iconic character who can seem silly in less capable hands.

It seemed very true to the spirit of Conan. The fighting sequences could've used a bit more energy, though. They came off as quite rigid most of the time. Which is a shame, because that's where Howard's writing realy shines! All in all, well done :)
It's almost impossible to mimic the mighty Ciimmerian without CGI. He was a mortal superman. I'm as fast as he was depicted and I'm trained to arms, and i look like him, but only 5 foot 11. That spear throw was awesome, you gotta admit. I can throw a Viking throwing spear that far, but not that fast. Clearly a little assist was employed

I just randomly came across this while looking for breakdowns of the Conan stories (Howard uses fantastic but slightly vague imagery sometimes) and honestly, this is a terrific short! I'd say Conan's actor use a little more gruff and scarring, he seemed a little too 'clean' in that good face shot, but other than that, this was beautifully done. I hope you tackle something more in depth next time.
Thank you in the name of the whole crew! But it was just a first try ever and I am not working on feature films anymore. It became just a nice memory. I hope Conan will be more featured in mainstream movies. Privately I love Conan the Barbarian by Milus, although it is still not Howard's Conan, who was much more sophisticated character that comics and movies have shown.

"Cimmerian" is supposed to have a hard "c" sound. It's supposed to be alliterative with his name. Other than that, and the look of Conan's hair, this is really well done.
Nicely done , i enjoyed hearing Cimmerian not being pronounced with a hard K (kick) or as the reader for some of the novels says simmer E on ,, sounds so weird!
Conan's setting is more like middle east/open steppe so idk why i see so many knights and women who are dressed in a western european manner. But overall i think this version of conan is more accurate
Conan's setting is as diverse as the world we live in, and Aquilonia was always said to have forests, rolling plains, and is generally given a more European vibe. As well as the places to its west and north. Had this story been set somewhere like Stygia, or Shem then yes, a middle eastern and north African vibe would have been appropriate. All in all, great short. I agree the fighting seemed a bit stiff but I really appreciate how you captured the over all feel and vibe of the original Conan stories

Even in the movies you come across characters like "subotai" which is VERY mongolian/turkic/tatar/kalmyk and you also see east nomadic like warriors in lamellar and scale armor on horses which is what I thought was the main, sort of open steppe/desert like setting but I also didnt know that! I like the story. It seems like the girl and her supposed abducter were actually in love. The narrator and Conan seem to be the aggressors. I could have done better with the premise and resources.

He went back too far by accident. He was trying to go back in time to save Alex Jones when he infiltrated bohemian grove where he was brutally rapped. I really liked Conan and the look on his face. Reminded me a lot of Robert E. Howard's stories. The narrator was also great.

Using actual steel swords probably makes uninhibited movements quite dangerous.
