- Good Evening ladies and gents. Here's my recreation of the first part of the episode The Doomsday Machine. I might do the entire episode if you guys would love to see that.
And yes, I realized (at the last minute) that the star color is different for both videos. Didn't noticed that until I was completely done with everything lol.
Also, this is the very first time I've done a "and now the conclusion" and referenced another video. Actually had fun putting that together!
Stay tuned for more...

DO IT!!!!
That would be a real treat! Anything would be appreciated!
@QuantumDesignsAZ: Well done, spectacular. I'm curious to know what software program(s) did you use? How long did it take you? How did you learn to create and arrange the scenes? and so on. In Spock's words: Fascinating!
Please do it.
The Doomsday Machine my all time Star Trek favorite episode, can't wait for next chapter
There must be something wrong with me. I could watch this episode 10,000 times and watch it again. Love your work.
Superior writing and superior directing to most of the other episodes. An adapted novel, adapted by the writer himself. A full symphonic score with each character, ship and machine getting a specific theme...the way a motion picture would do.
Full circle camera work on the bridge instead of the Desilu parlor fixed camera shots of the same spots.
Damage to a starship you could see. Even the plastic model and Effects by Billy was a major step forward in immersion visuals. Serious damage to the Enterprise too might have helped that, but most Enterprise shots come from the initial S1 canned stock. The CGI could add a burned nacelle or a scarred hull.
Someone else said "50 minute movie", which fits.
There's nothing wrong with you. I must have watched it several thousand times myself, after I first audio-taped it using my cassette recorder at age 6 off my parents living room 25" Zenith Chromacolor back in Jan. 1975...
😉👍!
I used to watch the original star trek series as a kid. What I love is the music and the action are perfectly timed! It was a wonderful series, I really enjoyed it, and still do.😊
One of my favorite episodes as well. This one made me a fan back in 1974.
The Doomsday Machine is one of the best episodes of the original series!! This video is spectacular!!! Great job!!! 🖐️
As a kid I had the whole series memorized.
This was my all time favorite…..I was 12 years old.
I feel the same way 50 years later.
I thank you most sincerely for the layout of this Star Trek storyline; it is refreshing.
🖖😎👍A job very spectacularly well done indeed and I can't wait to see the finished conclusion of it all Sir, And The Doomsday Machine has always been one of my all time favorite episodes along with various others of the original series indeed!,👌.
That was AMAZING! More PLEASE!
Great background music. Best final 20 odd minutes of any TOS episode.
The music from that episode was some of the best of the series. My favorite is the emphasis when Spock quietly notes the death of Decker.
Fantastic! Most certainly do the entire episode!!! More, more, more!
This is truly a work of art, please continue !!!!
WOW!! Great video!! I was ready to watch the rest of the episode!😅 They should do a re-make re-make of the Original Series 👍👍👍👍😉🤩
The Doomsday Machine was one of my all-time favorite episodes of the Original Star Trek. It would've been awesome if they would've made a movie about a similar Doomsday Machine wondering around the universe. Perhaps the one originally created to combat the Original Doomsday machine "used in a war countless years ago. They don't exist anymore but the machine is still destroying" .
Also, great job on the effects.
Excellent special effects, especially with the rubble, the destroyed Constellation AND the Planet Killer itself. Do the entire episode! Can you also remake "Balance of Terror," "Space Seed" and particularly "Who Mourns for Adonais?" This is AWESOME remake work of the Classic Original episodes!
1:28 Nichols was doing a singing concert in New York and couldn’t make the taping.
Hence, the blonde substitute Communications Officer. 😊
I’m Old School and like traditional Warp effects but good job.😊
Beautiful work.
Great work CG !!! This episode and Balance of Terror are my favorites. Hope that you continue in this venture.
Please do the whole thing-this is ,as Trelane would say, 'Marvellous'
I love all the theories, guesses about the origins of the Planet Killer. Especially the race fighting the Borg.
Nicely done! 👍👍I'd love to see your take on the entire episode.
Just love this episode great special effects, fantastic!
Excellent, Wonderful, feels like, feels like, yeah, MORE please!
Terrific work! I'm a first-generation TOS fan and it's always great to see new interpretations of classic episodes with current rendering tech 😁 30 years ago I would have done the same, the CAD software at the time just couldn't handle it unfortunately. Way to go with the exterior camera angles!
Well. Do no expect a work of the level of a professional VFX Team coming from a single guy who only make animations as a hobby.
And also you say that you are capable of doing it better so I would like to see you really trying to do it
What? Ohhhkay...that's not what I said at all. I said I would have done the same thing years ago if I had the tech we have now. I didn't claim to be able to do it better, I was complimenting his work. Yeesh.
Why are you commenting TOS ? It is called Star Trek
Yes, it's referencing Star Trek "The Original Series" (TOS) to be specific.
It should say ST then, not TOS@@kirk1968
Wow. More please. The Doomsday Machine is one of the better episodes so I for one would love to see the entire episode done. Others too
So well done, wish I could watch the full episode!
I think that it would be a good idea to recreate the whole episode. Sounds like a good idea. And btw theres another animation that other guy made, its called judgement day. You could try to replicate that one too. I would love to see it improved with your style and Quality.
My god sir, you have really done an amazing job. This is one of my favorite episodes and you have really done an EXCELLENT edit. Please keep going. Would love to see what you do to the sequences towards the end of the episode, if you have the desire to go that far of course.
“Red alert this is a space tornado warning. Repeat this is a space tornado warning.”
Very well done! Would like to see more!
A remake of "The Doomsday Machine" in 4KHD would be great.
Amazing work!
That was awesome 👍
It's heartening to see that even centuries into the future ships still display Port (red) and Starboard (green) navigation lights.
Ya gotta go traditional if the modern stuff breaks down!
I don't know why modern recreations treat the Enterprise like an X-Wing fighter, dashing around space like a toy making it look small? Take your clues from the original series and movies. Even the Kelvin universe got the sense of scale and majesty on point.
The Enterprise should be very maneuverable
'We're going to need a bigger boat...'
'Captain... we ARE the biggest boat. Until they finish the first dreadnoughts...'
This episode was actually a "cost saver " addition back in the '60's. If only the producers back then could see it with the 21st century grapics!!
Forbidden space cigar.
Sorry...it needs captions. There are lots of original Trekkies old enough to have hearing problems...don't leave us out.
This episode scared the heck out of me when I was 9 years old (1967).
Keep up the great work🎖
yes by all means please do waht i have seen so far is very very impressive
Nice work and it makes sense that is how it happened. Decker didn't try to slug it out with something superior, not the first time anyway, but there was no way to out run the thing with that much damage to his ship.
He had extra incentive to try to beat the doomsday machine using the Enterprise. He had just accidentally killed his entire crew.
Nicely done!
Wow!!! This episode is my all time Star Trek Favorite!!! This one got me hooked forever!!! Scared the heck out of me when I watched this ( in syndication) at 6 years old in the 70s
And yes!!! When Jaws came out in the 70s I remember telling my dad the music from jaws sounded like Star Trek
This was the one that got me hooked forever, too!
Brought a tear to me eye.....
The h&i channel should put this particular episode as a replacement for the original Star Trek series, and give it the same title as the original. Since it was brilliantly remastered.
You should use those skills to make that blond communications-officer's "tea tea's" PROTRUDE. 😁
My favorite episode.
Crazy good! ❤
finish the episode! Looks great!
Get this man a shield!
"I have sworn eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
From the bridge plaque of the USS Yamato NCC-71807. United Federation of Planets
I'm sold! Where is the rest of it!!
The AMT Enterprise model came out. That's how we got the Constellation and it's weird out of sequence hull number. NCC 1017 is a reworking of 1701 the only hull numbers that came with the kit. I huess 1710 would not show up on TV sets circa 1967.
Nope. It was simpler than that. When the prop guys were building the Constellation model they misread the production notes and put the number on backwards. The ship's number was supposed to be NCC- 1710.
I believe whoever built the doomsday machine built it to fight the Borg
I sure knew how to find the ladies, didn't I?
You were ALWAYS The MAN, Jim. 😁
The effects are very nice. But I have couple of things I want to raise that could have been better.
One, that warp effect is more like Star Wars hyperspace than Star Trek warp drive. You should use something closer to the TOS films if you are redoing the warp effect.
Two, the Planet Killer was described by Decker as slicing junks out of planets, not blowing them up.
Otherwise, this was good, and part two was even better. Thank you.
Cool! I wonder if anyone considered retrofitting the hyperspace sequences into the canon episodes.
Not sure why you want to bring star wars into this
@@keyboardt8276 Okay, warp drive sequences.
Nice work one little thing though the NCC 1701 looks a bit big and the wrong font
Wow you got an old detail in the series being smaller screens in Televisions
Cool…but you literally never finish these things 😢never got to see the end of the TMP battle of Azuti Prime for instance. Vengeance vs fleet. Etc.
I think the one I actually came thru with was “Romulan Demise”, part 2 to “Romulan Surprise”. BUT…I plan on remaking E.v.V completely, then doing part 2 of it. All THIS SUMMER.
Its coming! Dont give up on me! 🤣😊
You should have added texture to the Enterprise
Is there parts 3 - 5?
not bad but space is "empty". That much matter would tend to clump together fairly shortly.
Beerus can destroy a solar system as well. 😊
Yeah, you should dump the Star Wars hyperspace tunnel effects it has become derivative. Your renders are pretty spot on. Another detail the planet killer does not blow up planets. By Deckers account it is cutting chunks of the planet out.
Hang up part 2 it won't happen iv tryed on the tos vengeance for 1 year nothing so part 2 won't be a thing it will be abandoned to
He's just been working on it for 2 years to give us the best quality possible
@@sirjanin ok ok but I still want to see a part 2 to the tos vengeance
No closed caption on this video and a missing video of the Part 2 turned me off. So, I never join this channel subscriber. 😱
Not bad. But the footage from the original show is much better. Sorry.
a cheap knock off click bait piece of garbage.
@QuantumDesignsAZ >>> Great video...👍
My favorite episode.
