@@stodemorecordings in the original manual, NCC-1704 is the registry. NCC-1717 was first used in a TOS novel by an author who did not want to do their research.

Yes. In the original release of the AMT model kit for the USS Enterprise it included decals for her sister ships. Yorktown was NCC-1704.

I was six years old in 1979 when ST TMP came out in theaters. My dad made us watch ALL the original series growing up, so when this came out, it was a big deal to him!
For me, Star Wars (1977) was a big deal at that moment in time, but then ST TMP (1979) came out and it offered a realistic depiction of the future of humanity and man, the ship on the big screen just BLEW ME AWAY!!!!! Forget Star Wars! This is something different! I wanted to be on that ship! I wanted to walk around that ship! My imagination went through the roof as little kid. These films were so influential to me and hats off to all of the people involved in those sci-fi films of the late 70's early 80's. They set the bar and it was high. Very high.

That was really kool. Loved the music, was very soothing. This was the first thing I watched on youtube tonight when trying to unwind from work. Honestly, seeing the Battle of Wolf 359 Memorial was a shocker. I didn't know if there was one cannon or not. Excellent touch!
Concur. So many of the ships that were lost at Wolf 359 were blasted apart. It would be challenging to build such a memorial.

Anyone find it weird that when we first saw the Yamaguchi her registry read NCC-26530 yet when we see her again at the Wolf 359 memorial her registry reads NCC-26510 that just doesn't make sense why the ship's registry number would be changed.

One quibble, Yorktown's canonical NCC is debatable, the preferred NCC is 1717 courtesy of the Greg Jein article. 1704 was the FJS Tech Manual number; STTM is a great source for ship names, but enough other cooks have stirred up NCC assignments, to the point where FJS's list can't always be relied upon -- aside from ship classes largely ignored in canon (scouts, destroyers, and dreadnaughts)
That's true, that's the reason why i wrote that in the video (NCC 1717 is also correct). The Yamato has three registries: NCC 1305-E, NCC 24383 and NCC 71807
@@stodemorecordings Yamato's legacy registry (NCC-1305-E) is confirmed to be a mistake by a writer who didn't know how registry numbers worked.
I still think the sovereign class is the sexiest.
These girls are great. But I like Enterprise the best.
In real life, CV-6 (including her Azur Lane counterpart), CVN-65, and the soon-to-be CVN-80 will always be my favorites.
I wish the Sovereign had the blue deflector dish originally intended for First Contact. Would've been a nice reference.

Really great video, great models, great music. The Connie Refit Yorktown is gorgeous, I'll never get tired of the Connie refit. The Sovereign still has an elegant presence, a very close second favourite to the Connie Refit.
Yamato also had several different registries, like Yorktown, because of writers not communicating and production mistakes. NCC-1305-E was from the episode "Where Silence Has Lease" and that was a fully acknowledged balls up because the writer hadn't spoken to Michael Okuda who was making the studio model for a later episode. A screen in "The Measure Of A Man" gives the registry NCC-24383.
The actual studio model from "Contagion" has the registry NCC-71806, but the Yamato's Captain's log seen in the same episode gives NCC-71807. I'm inclined to think that 71807 or 71806 is the correct one because that episode has Yamato in it and we can see the registry on the ship or on data recovered from the ship.
The Prometheus had the same issues with registry. On bridge set was NX-74913 but on saucer was NX-59650 shown (the second one is the correct one 🥰🖖

@tranzphaziktorpedo The 10hrs were over a period of time. Only to make the camera moves took 5hours (the yamato was the most difficult). The video editing took nearly 3 hours haha. The other two hours i worked on other stuff for that video 🫡🖖 LLAP

USS Yamato's registry number/s is NCC-71807 according to the saucer section and NCC-24383 according to her logs the NCC-1305-E was actually an error during production.
But later, all of them are accepted to be correct 🥰🖖 And i like your last one because there are not many ships in this era with an suffix in registry

The USS Yamato was destroyed in "Contagion" at Stardate 42609.1 in neutral zone. The ship you seen in Wolf 359 memorial was the USS Yamaguchi, NCC 26510 shown earlier in the video. She was abandoned at the battle of Wolf 359 🥰🖖

Wasn't the Yorktown 1704, renamed the Enterprise A 1701-A, or has that never fully been confirmed?
There were 3 Yorktown of Constitution class. One of them was renamed to the Enterprise-A, one was the NCC 1717 and one is the shown ship 🥰🖖
The Connie refits were, and are, inho, the most beautiful of the lot. Seconded only by the Sovereign class. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Yeah, but there other notable Galaxy-class to choose from other than the Syracuse and the Yamato. There was also Galaxy, Odyssey, Challenger, and Musashi.

In space, the design is feasible, but it is not practical an asteroid take out one of the engine drive From the war coral what would happen it would also be a prime target area for attack, so why would you designed something like that?

Galaxy class looks the best. Constitution class is clumsy, has no stream line and has that early cheap scifi look.
I still say the Enterprise D should have gotten a REFIT at the end of Generations! Think about it - the 2 things that were always the most glaring issues with the Galaxy class - her nacells were TOO DARN (the designer always regretted it and even as ac teen, i agreed) + the Saucer section was just TOO DARN BULKY! Imagine the Galaxy with all her lovely smooth graceful lines in tact but with longer thinner warp pylons + a more Arrow-head maybe Voyager or Prometheus-esque saucer that was litterally about HALF the Mass.
Gosh i Bet the Enterprise D would have looked like a thorough-bred Race Horse Galloping Across the Stars!
Asked be so much more intimidating in battle too!
And it makes so much sense considering how the 2 seconds are litterally 2 space vehicles joined togeather
The new saucers would be cheaper & faster to produce and hearts Fat More for WARTIME! rather than having to retro-fit part existing models requiring like twice a many shield generators and SIF generators just to get the same result

I like the og design of the galaxy. The saucer was originally meant to bring civilians and unnecessary crew into safe distance. The battle against the Borg where the Enterprise used both sections of the ship is the only case of that tactic.
But a refit in that way is nice to see 🥰🖖✌️
There's no requirement for aerodynamic sleekness. I suppose it would look nicer, but all that mass was there for a reason.
As for production, I think most people underestimate what 300 years of manufacturing advancements could do in advanced AI controlling 3D printing (replication as well as a form of 3d printing), CNC, robotics, etc. They could absolutely churn out galaxies with the scale of the federation and technology if they wanted to.
Everything JJ on has lost the feeling.
The Constitution class refit is still the sexiest ship design IMO, the lines are just perfect. The Sovereign class would be a close second IMO

Man seeing the USS sovereign is such an awesome honorable mention considering the fact that the USS Sovereign is the second Sovereign class starship of its time and it has its own video game very cool
No, the Sovereign was the first. She was one of the new weapons that Starfleet was developing after the Enterprise D's first encounter with the Borg. But she failed in her trial runs, so she was mothballed around the time of of the TNG episode "Pegasus" and was used for design reference. Starfleet begin building a second Sovereign class ship that was to be named USS Honorius, but they renamed her Enterprise-E after the destruction of the D. After the new Enterprise had a successful Shakedown and successful first mission, they took the Sovereign out of mothballs, refit her, and commissioned her for active service.
The very first time I saw the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 I thought there was never a ship so beautiful. She is breath taking.

The ACTUAL Contract number is NCC-75000. This is on good authority from one trustworthy source.

Hey, thank you for your Comment. I made this animations with Star Trek Online. Specifically i used the so called "Demorecord"-tool, which inspired me for my channel-name. You can film your current doing on a map as long as you wish. Later you have to restart the game, but before you press the "Engage"-Button, you have to change in the commandline, to get into the demorecord tool itself. There you can set there in which time what is meant to see. It's like a 3d render programm, but very not so complicated. This tool is for free.

Yamaguchi is japanese, Yamato too... And the UFP uses universal translators, so anyone can understand every known language without a "lingua franca" 🥰🖖

Star Trek is the last bastion of optimistic Golden Age sci-fi in the grand Campbellian tradition, and it shows -- most of all in the ships. Nothing says "The good guys are here" quite like seeing a ship of the Federation Starfleet come to the rescue.

You left out the NX-02's refit. It's canon since the NX-01 refit is seen in Picard season 3.
I read some websites to the NX-Refit... Except of the NX-01 there is no confirmed refit happened. Further i don't have the refit in STO, so that is in more than one way impossible for me to show her here. But i'll buy her some day 🥰🖖
