So glad Mr. Butler is still with us and can see the results of his work.
Wish Gene was alive as well, maybe then the modern Star Trek wouldn't be so awful.
So is Composer Fried and Billy Shatner.

If there was anyone I would trust to handle this, it's the Okudas. Thank God for you two.
Exactly!
This archive could not be in better hands. It's a remarkable & noble endeavor to preserve these rendering & designs for future generations. The Okudas are living Trek encyclopedias, not to mention brilliant artists in their own right. Drexler is unrivaled in both skill & passion for Trek. People like Probert, Jeffries, Zimmerman and many, many others made Roddenberry's dreams a physical reality. But what excited me the most is the involvement of Donny Versiga. If you haven't yet seen his artwork & recreations, you're in for a very big treat. I've probably spent hours & hours staring in wonder at his content. There are many other people who deserve recognition for this, not least of which is James Cawley. I'm not sure if he has any involvement in this, but even if he hadn't, this guy's work is a downright miraculous inspiration. I can't wait to experience this for myself someday.
James has been brought on as a costume consultant - more team members here: www.imdb.com/title/tt19494964/fullcredits/
Where can I find Donny Versiga's work?
@@Perktube1 , here on TH-cam. Just type in his name in the search bar and be ready for a Trekgasm.
@Koldeman, I couldn't agree more. This project is the perfect reunion of super talented artists who are also super Star Trek fans. Adding to your list I would mention Rob Bryan (of Stage 9 fame) as another artist I'm glad to see is involved in this project.
It's just nice to see that the Okuda's are keeping the archive going.
I love this.
For a moment I was stunned at their recreation of Laurel Goodwin (Yeoman Colt), and then I realised that it's actually someone who is incredibly close in looks to her, that is an amazing match for Goodwin!!!
Ditto. She was the only really attractive chick on the episode.
@@radioflyer68911 so, i guess she would have been Eve....
The Okudas are amazing!!! All these artists are so hardworking
It's very refreshing... very gratifying to see people working so hard to preserve Gene's vision and open it up to the fans. As a big fan of Star Trek, I can truly appreciate this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved for doing this. Gene would be very happy.
I didn't see Star Trek until 1972 on a UHF converter. I was 13. I had a black and white TV. I was obsessed! I had a technical manual that I sadly lost. I had made a Science Officer's shirt complete with gold braid and I had gotten in the mail the shirt insignia. I even had a kit of the Enterprise I mailed away for back then. I was big on Spock and that was my nickname in 7th grade. Every night I listen on my Tablet Star Trek episodes I recorded or I can't sleep. I think I was in 8th grade and a 9th grader showed off his cardboard Nomad probe. Looked really real. Live Long and Prosper everyone!
I am sooo incredibly happy to see there's still people left in the industry who actually CARE about Star Trek and preserving it. And i am SOOOO delighted to see that Mr. Butler was given the opportunity to talk about it as well. Thank you so much Mr. Butler. You directed an amazing Pilot that actually convinced the Producers enough to actually feel traveling through space and convincing them so much to grand permission for a second Pilot. Something that is STILL very unheard of in Television production. So it means you really had done something VERY right and very good. And thank you Mike and Denise!!! Gene would be proud!!! :)
RIP Laurel Goodwin---passing away over 2 months ago. Too bad she didn't get a chance to see this.
The actress playing Yeoman Colt looked very close to Goodwin.
We had schedule Laurel to be interviewed just a few weeks before she passed. twitter.com/JulesUrbach/status/1521639344993361923
@@OTOY Wow, that would have been great to see. RIP Laurel Goodwin.
Not to sound morbid, but I had the honor to cremate her. I work at a mortuary who had handled her case. I received a heart felt letter and two pictures of Laurel Goodwin from The Cage, 1 of her and 2 her and the actor who played Captain Pike, from her sister.
@@OTOY I'm glad you still had her. And i'm sure she'll be proud of what you achieved :)
Damn!
Wow, I think it’s great that Robert Butler is still alive to see what Star Trek has become in the 58yrs since he directed “The Cage”….ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
🖖🏼 =/\=
It's kind of stunning that The Cage was rejected as a pilot because it was "too thoughtful".
I want you to look something up called MindWebs about 1/3rd of them are garbage though. This was a science fiction radio series that aired between 1976 and 1984 I believe.
Everything is made for children and simpletons now. There hasn't been a new creation worth paying attention to in decades.
That has got to be the best recasting ever, the resemblance is uncanny.
Glad to see there's an effort to preserve the original optimistic vision Star Trek.
I am a child of the 60s. I am a product of the Great Society and Civil Rights programs. I grew up with Star Trek as the centerpiece of my life. My current profession is as a power plant operating engineer and I owe a debt of gratitude to Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott for that.
Part of the reason I write science fiction stories is because of this series. This series permeated my early life and still resonates deeply with me all these decades later.
As I watch this video, I am absolutely blown away. I have no words other than those to describe how I feel.
Maybe no one at OTOY will read this but on the slim chance you do, know this.
We who invested our time, our love, our devotion, our hard earned money, and in many cases our lives, to the original vision of The Great Bird of the Galaxy, Mister Roddenberry, cannot begin to thank you enough for all that you're doing. It does bring a tear to this old guy's eyes. This is why so many of us still hold a flame in our hearts for this vision. I dare say a great many of us are simply staggered by what you've brought forth now that the technology exists for you to do so.
I could go on, but I would exceed the dictionary of superlatives to do so.
You've blessed us with this work. You have in your hands, and carry with you, our continued hopes and dreams. You've more than lived up to our expectations.
In every human and non-human language I can think of, Thank you.
To see Mr. Butler "meet" Yeoman Colt at 2:55 was so amazing. I wonder what he must have been thinking.
"How did your nose get so pointy, Laurel"
WOW! Love this... Now THIS is Star Trek...This what Star Trek truly needs right now, a total return to the original design and philosophy.
Far left nutjobs killing every nerd franchise. Star Trek got it the worst maybe. Good to see this.
AND Philosophy is right! None of this man shaming blue shaved hair BULLSHIT that they're STILL pulling in SNW!
Yes! More emphasis on the stories, the writing and philosophy. That's what I got out of Star Trek, The Original Series. I learned more moral lessons from that than traditional organized religion.
Complete lack of new ideas! Yay!
Absolutely Amazing! This is what makes me so proud to be a life long Star Trek fan. It really does and will continue to change lives for the better. Thank you for your commitment and work!
LOL be proud to be a fan of the OG Trek and 90s Trek, not the current Schlock.
TOS, TNG, up to Enterprise. Then yes that makes me proud to be a fan since i was born in the 80s and grew up watching reruns of the Original Series with my dad and raised on Next Generation. Discovery and Picard left nothing but a sour taste in my mouth. In the right hands Trek can be great again.
This is the best Trek news in 20 years!!
Stunning. The preservation of our pop culture is very important, the next generation needs to see what our greatest imaginative minds have come up with. Awesome job you guys did!
When you see and hear all the love so many people have for preserving and making Star Trek, it really breaks your heart when you realize none of them work for the studio that should be utilizing their talents and reverence.
Amazing that Director Robert Butler is still around. All the cast of The Cage have passed away
Yet, here we are with Sandra Lee Gimpel, still alive in late 2024 (with quite a resumé doing stunts), as I thought we were done after we lost Felix Silla and Laurel Goodwin (and Robert Butler passed on about a year ago). I guess you and I have to say "The main cast have passed away".
Amazing to me that this "lost film" of my youth has gained more acceptance over time and managed to spawn a series decades later, despite not having been 100% successful in that goal the first time around.
Omg, I’m so happy this is being done!!
I would spend hours walking around the Enterprise.
hasant this already been done the with TNG enterprise, until the film/tv company smelt money, and promptly sent in the lawyers to put a stop to it dint have the stuff need to do the 3d, not liked to watch the progress walkthroughs posted on yo tube

Wonderful to hear this level of care and commitment regarding Star Trek again! ❤️ to you all!
So happy to see interviews with these folks who were part of it in the very beginning. This entire project OTOY is doing is a historic masterpiece.
Gene Roddenberry was a visionary, but it was people like the Okudas and so many others that brought it to life. It is amazing that people are working to preserve their original creation, and shows how much of an impact Star Trek has had on the world.
The refit Enterprise remains the ultimate expression of Federation starships, and pretty much the best of any franchise.
Same same!! The refit design is simply marvelous. It's streamlined, impressive, massive, gorgeous and simply iconic.
The Refit Enterprise is the ultimate beauty.
Absolutely.
Yes. She is my ship of dreams and every time I see her I fall in love again.
One of the brilliant things about the general design, and it doesn't matter if you're taking about TOS, the film version, or the SNW version, is that it is (a) instantly recognizable from any angle, (b) instantly recognizable no matter the detail, from highly-detailed greeble-covered minature or CG model to just a silhouette. and (c) it looks good from any angle. There are very, very few SF ship designs that can say that.
This is such a great gift to the fandom of today and tomorrow in these complex and pessimistic times. Not just the lovingly crafted and expertly researched set recreations but the message of hope which is their impetus. Star Trek always embodied the best of classic science-fiction and propelled us high above the mountain tops of the turbulent 1960s, inviting us to dream bigger, of a time of universal brotherhood in which all things are possible. We live in even more turbulent times now and need to hear that message more than ever before. (hint hint) Congratulations to the passionate artists making this dream a reality for fans old and new. Just when I thought it was gone for good what a welcome surprise to learn that Star Trek Lives in the Roddenberry Archive. The Great Bird of the Galaxy has wings again. Where can we donate?
Roddenberry: Hope and Optimism. New Trek since 2005 - no hope and optimisim. Thank you for the archives 🙂

This presentation has given me goosebumps. It's marvelous. Mr. Roddenberry was a genius. I marvel at the every day things in our lives that influenced by his Star Trek.
I'm sorry, Roddenberry was a nut.
TMP and the first seasons of TNG were in the gutter because of him. It was talented writers that made ST what it was.
I know many may disagree, but one of the reasons I joined the Navy was Star Trek. As a former Chaplain, PLEASE have the Chapel on the original 1701! "Dumb to join the Navy because of Star Trek" you say? Well, I was deployed where no man has gone before (Antarctic ice that breaks up every year) on a ship, with a military-rescue-exploratory-scientific research crew. So, it worked out.
I did the same thing, but I joined the Coast Guard instead.
The whole point of ST was the navy in space, in a positive future.
Now ST is so bad. Its like immature kids, in space, who stole their dad's car without permission
Joining because of Star Trek wasn’t dumb, but being a chaplain was.
The United States has bombed 7 nations in the last 25 years. Can you even name them? You're just a bunch of thugs for this criminal government. They openly lie this nation into wars, and you won't do a thing about it, you don't even bother to know what wars they lie us into.
@gz9520 no it wasn't. Place and time, fella. All context, not your perception of how things should be. He filled the vital ship's counselors' role in the only framework allowed in that day. The only way one learns from history is to simultaneously appreciate it as it was while recognizing that which requires improvement; condemning the past because you're some morally superior future-creature guarantees our future will come after you.
I honestly love to see that technology is finally reaching the point where the passion of the many people behind Star Trek can faithfully be represented and brought to the fans. I hope that CBS and Paramount will fully embrace The Roddenberry Archives and utilize this unique project as they continue to add to the legacy of the franchise.
Remember.
This is wonderful. I feel like a kid again watching this. I love it!
A labour of love being carried out by specialists, artists and techicians with the correct focus, doing it for the right reasons and utilising the best tools available. OMG, it is a pity that I lack patience and want to see it all NOW. I'll just be over there in the corner squealing with delight.
Jesus Christ. This so should have been a post credit scene at the end of Generations or a flashback during Picard to explain why Daystrom Station has Kirk's remains. Phenomenal work. And thanks to TrekCulture for introducing me to the Roddenberry Archives. CBS/Paramount would be FOOLISH not to utilize your work.
This is great! I've been a fan since the first airing of "The Man Trap" in 1966. I'd love to be alive when we finally meet whoever is out there!!
Amazing. To walk around the Enterprise(s) would be an argument to get a VR headset again … Thank you to everyone involved in this. Truly fascinating.

In 1964, they got EVERYTHING RIGHT!!! TMP Enterprise is still my favourite version. The TMP transporter room was so well designed. Even in 1979, the design language was perfect and still holds up 40 years later.
This is amazing! I look forward to seeing this truly bonkers project evolve.
Us senior Trek fans call Roddenberry 'the Great Bird of the Galaxy'. He was 100 years ahead of his time and a profound influence on my growth.
When Butler saw the Ensign Colt stand-in, I verged on tears. We are so close to recreating Trek where there are no limits.
Just as we maintained a Constitution seagoing warship, just as we have an Enterprise shuttle... someday there will be an actual spacefaring Enterprise.
POOR MISS GOODWIN
This is amazing. To quote a sardonic Scotty in generations: "Brought a tear to me eye~" but I'm serious...
SO beautiful!! THANK YOU for your wonderful work!!
HOLY SHIT. Robert Butler is still with us?!
There was a scene where Bob Butler goes on set to meet Mahé Thaissa as Yeoman Colt. That moment must have been indescribable for him. What you guys created cannot be put into words the only thing I can say is thank you for making this all a reality.
Thank you! That was indeed an incredibly special moment for all of us.
At some point in my almost 60 years I remember there were Enterprise blueprints you could buy with some of the levels drawn out; I had a set (because nerd). This project is something that definitely speaks to that fan in me!
This is like a phenomenally upgraded Next Generation Interactive Technical Manual from the 90’s. When Apple’s QuickTime was brand new and you could walk through the Enterprise-D.
I’m very excited about this!
Good golly! "Shut up and take my money!" I grew up on the original movies first, when I was living overseas. When we returned stateside, that was when TNG was in it's 2nd season and so on. But I always felt close and fond of the movie Enterprise and crew. Man, to actually walk though the Enterprise-Refit/-A and go room by room, deck by deck, something I had dreamt of since I was a kid!
I used to fly model rockets as a hobby, back in the early to mid 1970s. Several years ago, I was looking through one of my old _Model Rocketeer_ news magazines, and saw where another rocketeer was saying that he'd heard there was talk in Hollywood about making a Star Trek movie. It took a few years, but it did come out as _Star Trek: The Motion Picture._ Oh, and that young rocketeer posting that info? His name was *Michael Okuda.* ☺
I am humbled by this astonishing work. Hopefully we don't bang our heads in engineering like Mr Scott achieved in ST:V.
Thank you.
I am 66 years old.
I grew up with the original series.
Everything you are doing in preserving this world is a miracle.
This is so exciting! I still have my highly worn first print edition of Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise the I coveted as a kid.
So happy to hear the guy talking about how he's a preservationist on this project. So often nowadays when you have writers and directors and effects artists dipping into IP that someone else created, they feel they have to put their own touch on the project, even if it doesn't fit the tone or setting of the original-often markedly, intentionally so. It's so refreshing to see that the goal here is an attempt to exactly replicate what those at the time envisioned but were unable to fully create because the technology, logistics, and budgets at the time just did not allow them to. It reminds me of the situation with the Peter Jackson "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, where he attempted to-with a few caveats in the adaptation of book to motion picture-bring as much of Tolkein's vision of the story to life as he could, compared to the current Amazon "Rings of Power" series, which is clearly trying to bank off of the former adaptation in order to tell stories the writers and producers want told.
The Cage is a great episode. First time I saw the Menagerie I just immediately was interested in this Capt Pike and his story.
I love The Cage and I want to see more of that Enterprise and her crew.
1:35
That's Sandra Gimpel. Not only did she play one of the background Tolosians, she also played the Salt Vampire in the episode The Man Trap
And interestingly she was in the movie Airplane! as one of the two Girl Scouts that get into a brawl in the bar scene. She is the one with lighter hair, does the more difficult stunts and ends up with her head smashed into a jukebox at the end of the sequence.
She's quite the stunt performer.
Make sure you put all of this in VR. That's the future right there, so there's no better fit for these amazing models you're building.
It takes me right back to my childhood. I remember watching The Cage at my grandmother's house. This is a great video. Thank you!
Beautiful recreation, especially Yeoman J. M. Colt. I hope she appears in the upcoming Star Trek series Strange New Worlds.
The likeness is uncanny!
Laurel Goodwin was a true beauty!! Overshadowed by the stunning Susan Oliver in The Cage, but I think that had more to do with how Laurel was dressed and how she wore her hair, vs. Ms. Oliver. I think she was just as sexy as Susan; she would definitely have been "Eve".
@@whiskeyvictor5703 It’s unreal.
@@trwent The last of the original pilot cast.
@@van76 I wish they had kept her for the series, but they decided to replace her with another bombshell, Grace Lee Whitney. That worked out okay until Grace started hitting the bottle ...
Thank you Mike and Denise and everyone else involved for your dedication to this project!
To this day, I consider Roddenberry's 2-part episode THE MENAGERIE (much like an Outer Limits episode, the original series), which was framed around THE CAGE, one of the pinnacles of TV sci fi. He never wrote on that level again, but if he had a great novel in him, this was IT. A beautiful script. Living through other people's dreams like a narcotic, only to perish in the thought-wreck, because you give up doing things on your own; you stagnate.
He couldn't write on that level again because NBC ordered him to "dumb the series down."
IMHO William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy did the best acting of their careers in that two-parter, too. Some brilliant scenes both in the flashbacks and the "present."
Hopefully his vision will come true sooner rather than later.
The archive lools really really cool.
Thank yall for sharing.
I am a lifelong fan of Star Trek.
TOS is nostalgic for me
Strange New Worlds is my favorite current show.
A suggestion if I may.
Put the guest book on The Scorch.
These renderings are gorgeous.
This video is the first I've seen of this project. If I understand correctly, and it's meant as an interactive space, one can explore for one self.
I'd love it, if the assets are made in a way, that they could be imported into any game and 3D engine.
So that these ships could be licensed, or even made freely available to game developers and movie producers (who have a deal with ST IP-holders, or comply with ST Fan-fic guidelines).
Imagine the possibilities, for interactive and passive story telling in this fantastic universe, with a ready made "true to life" Enterprise, that is accessible.
Slim chance, but one can only hope...
Incredible stuff! Anyone else feeling renewed hope that we could see a return to Trek's classic look for something one day?
👋💯
Why would you want to return to a 1960s budget driven show??? It would look terrible to viewers and lose more fans than anything. DISCO and JJ have got us so many new fans. They are Trek for the modern day. TNG would not even get a second series now, its a grindfest to get through. Terrible boring episodes that are so cheesy and you need to watch 5 episodes to get one good one on TNG. TOS was the greatest, but would not sell now without new effects
@@whitleybayman123 typical attitude from a Fast and Furious Trek fan.
Probably, if we can pay for it's production. The current crop of Star Trek series attempts are incomprehensible, unrealistic and beyond the dream imagined by Roddenberry. This important saga deserves better management. Star Trek is 🇺🇸's goto inspiration for future endeavors.

This is Amazing. Respecting Star Trek.
Still stands up as one of THE Best Star Trek episodes, of all the series. Great design, great music, great story, great acting. No matter how many times I watch this (or its inclusion in the regular series two-parter, "The Menagerie") I get chills towards the end.
And, Jeffrey Hunter will always be Captain Pike. No one else.
@Tejesh Patel snw isn't even real Star Trek. It's shart trek. No one will be more Captain Pike than Jeffrey Hunter though you are of course welcome to your opinion.
I think we can all now agree that Jean Rodenberry is the father of sci-fi space shows that catapulted from the TV to the big screen. The work on the design of the enterprise to this day for me as a fan every time I see it I think of perfection it’s the most beautiful concept of a spaceship by anybody Star Trek the motion picture devoted almost 7 minutes of the film when Kirk and Scotty we’re going over to the enterprise because the enterprise is so important it’s a cash member and that’s why I’m a Star Trek fan before I’m a Star Wars fan thank you Mr. Roddenberry for making us believe and giving us hope that maybe one day we can do some of these things
The original bridge (from The Cage) looked so much better than the bridge they ended up with throughout TOS. I get it, color TV was new and they wanted the image to pop off the screen, but as someone in his 30’s it has not aged well.
The muted colors and use of the washing walls with colored light REALLY looks good.
This would be the Ultimate in VR experience, to walk every corridor of every starship, visit some of the planets seen in the shows, interact with the crew, hell, damn near join Starfleet! Don't think I would pull my headset off ever again! Phenomenal work they are doing with the Star Trek Universe! May it continue to Live Long And Prosper!!
I love it that they found someone so nearly identical to the original Yeoman Colt actor . I always wanted to know more about her . Perhaps in the original series they didn't make a point of exploring characters like this the way they do in modern trek shows like DS9 and TNG , but it's so much fun learning about our favourite character's back stories.
I much enjoyed this! The redhead Yoeman Colt (Larel Goodwin) in the cage was one of my favourite ST babes 😄😉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
The resemblance of actress portraying Yeoman J.M. Colt is uncanny.
Thank you - Mahé Thaissa and the archive team put in an enormous effort to faithfully honor Laurel's portrayal of the character as envisioned in 1964 by Gene and Bob Butler.
Wow! How (and why) did they re-create the red head from The Cage so perfectly? Is she CG? It’s uncanny how she looks exactly like her!
This also goes to show that ST: Strange New World’s COULD have used the original designs from
the original Pike-era and still have looked amazingly cool. That bridge set in grey and black still holds up today. I actually like it more than the red and black. It’s more sleek and futuristic. But noooo…. SNW show runners had to go and break long established, canon and in-universe history with no explanation as to WHY things look so different. JJ Abrams respected us fans by giving us a logical explanation as to why his KELVIN timeline looked different.
Anyway, the Roddenberry Archives looks incredible. Thanks for this video!! Beautiful!!!
She's an actress (Mahé Thaissa) that looks remarkably similar to the original, Laurel Goodman, who played Yeoman Colts in the pilot.
Mind blowing and heart shaking
Gene Roddenberry is a genius. Star Trek as a whole is his creation. Salute also to his artists for putting into reality, image wise what is in the mind of Gene Roddenberry. As a sci-fi movie fan i always considers every new sci-fi movies to have in one way or another been inspired by Star Trek.. Funny that in this time of incredible real like and detailed HD graphics i still enjoy watching the Original Series to the point that i am sure will watch it if they will make new sequel based on the Original Series using all the old bridge set up, transporter room, engineering, phasers and same uniforms.
This is amazing! Great work.
Fascinating. I've been working on recreating the refit Enterprise in VR on and off for the past 10 years and this is the first I've heard of this. Looking forward to seeing this progress - cheers!
Thank you so much for preserving Star Trek!!!

This is just all around awesome! Bravo!
4:12 that model includes details I think every other model I've seen has missed, great. would love to see the final product when done.
The girl playing the Yoeman is uncanny. She really looks the part. Excellent!
Thank you for this wonderful glimpse into this fantastic project! It was truly inspiring. It wasn’t just nostalgia that was striking a chord watching this video about The Roddenberry Archives, it was also the sincere respect, passion, details, and teamwork involved in this project - all linked by the love for the original philosophy and vision of Star Trek. This is something that has been missing for decades.
Sadly, it seems as if Star Trek had been replaced with a pod, like in the Invasion of the Body Snatchers or The Stepford Wives. No depth or substance at all in the bizarre manifestations since 2009. Just a veneer of a Trek-like epidermis... or perhaps the worst incarnation of the Mirror, Mirror universe in which all characters are shallow morons and all plots pointless and haphazard; going against everything established about the franchise that made it beloved and revered, which this project thankfully embraces!
In the two aforementioned examples, family and friends could easily see beyond the "replacements" in Invasion of the Body Snatchers or The Stepford Wives. The characters didn't know anything or act normal. They were schizophrenic-like and pathetic. Unfortunately, that is how Star Trek has been for 13+ years now; virtually unrecognizable and miserably inadequate to those of us who know and respect the franchise since its inception.
Hopefully your project will spark a resurgence into more authentic Trek incarnations, along with knowledgeable Trek experts to carve out meaningful episodes. Having 2-part episodes, like cliff hangers at the end of the season is fine, but they need to focus on single standalone episodes rather than making an ongoing soap opera in space for an entire season.
Utilizing science fiction and related genre writers like Harlan Ellison, as done in TOS with the City on the Edge of Forever (a half a century+ ago) would be a brilliant way to go. Creating episodes that are fresh, unique, and meaningful, and which gradually build and expand upon the Trek legacy in significant ways. Of course, these would be contemporary authors rather than those from 50+ years ago.
Also, in any potential renaissance television project, please reintroduce intelligence, creativity, empathy and hope back into standalone missions and interactions. This is what inspired people from around the world for many generations.
Anyway, I sincerely look forward to watching this project expand and unfold. Seeing recreated details of the ships and their decks in an interactive high-resolution format is beyond inspiring! Finding actors like the woman who portrayed Yeoman Colt as well is mind-blowing and just seals the deal in authentic recreations. Thank you, Mike and Denise Okuda, Matt Jeffries, Bob Butler, and everyone else involved in the project and/or who was pivotal in bringing Roddenberry’s vision into fruition!
Brought tears in my eyes wow that was a lovely touch bringing back the late Leonard Nimroy back as Spock real legends never die RIP ❤🖖
It's incredible how Star Trek moved in time, the first half of the 23rd century, the second half of the 24th century... new environment again, new uniforms. Boom came The Next Generations, again a new environment of the 24th century and so it went on... today Star Trek is somewhere else in time.....
Those virtual starships will incredible. I can't wait!
After seeing this great work everyone doing here, I say, thank you.
Wonderful! And look at how absolutely beautifully and absolutely credibly it holds up today. I hope the current producers at Secret Hideout as well as some younger viewers who sometimes scoff at what came before are all paying attention to this. Look how amazing (and futuristic) it looks re-rendered with modern techniques!

This looks like proper Star Trek. No fancy updated sfx or Kurtzman 20% difference interference. Just proper screen accurate recreations. Glad this is being run by actual fans, not apologists for CBS/Kurtzman.

Oh how I would love to explore these 3D sets in a high end Virtual Reality experience.
