What's wrong with saving the voltage? Throttlestop doesn't start automatically with windows, right? So doesn't it not apply the voltages until you open up the program, say after a blue screen?

So imagine if you got a blue screen after save it immediately thought it's an easy fix I found out after a while You can just delete the .int file then everything will be reset but all your tweak and settings will also be reset, not practical for testing and sh*t What I recommend is try testing from let's say -60 then play your heavy games or benchmark if it stable then continue -70,-80 until your computer blue screen then you'll know what the limits are, so let's say your computer crash at -125 then just set 110 or 115 and Set it to save immediately Now you have a sure profile that won't crash on startup And lastly set Throttlestop autostart is damn easy just use Task scheduler, but only do that if you're sure you know it won't blue screen after open

hmm, when u click apply its running on voltage u desire, so theres still a chance where its going to get bsod, also just use tsbench inside the throttlestop to see if theres any error, if theres an error then u should change the settings
I tested Intel 10875H in Dell XPS and custom bios mod. These chips can't hold that much cache undervolt for extended periods. Mine holds at most -95mv at 39 cache multiplier. And CPU core is also right at the limit, probably over the limit for long term. In certain applications that stress it just the right way, it's going to crash. Just because it completes a stress test doesn't mean it's stable. My max 100% stable undervolt is -110mv core, -95mv cache at max 42 core multiplier. And it's a better binned chip! Don't corrupt the system by over-undervolting the system. People beware! This is way too low for Intel 10th gen! Not to mention he doesn't explain what anything does at all, he just tells you to blindly apply his settings. Don't do that! I have a 30x all-core multiplier profile, and I run -135mv core and -110mv cache. And it's stable. But not at 41x mutli.. Not for long term. Cache won't run at 38x multi at -125mv.. That's insane. If it's stable in the long run, then it's a golden chip. But mine soft locks instantly at -125mv cache, at least in ratios that are reasonable for normal use.
PS - 42x mutli CPU for MAX load. Usually though, system will crash while doing more simple tasks, because it'll bring the clocks up, along with cache - and since it's not able to hold 46x/47x multi for memory stress ops, it's going to soft lock.
I would also recommend setting the speed shift epp to 92. and in the TPL section setting min 1 and max 39. From getting 92C max now I'm getting 79C max with no performance loss. It's just amazing
@@crisscross5177 Of course, lol. You can’t do any harm by doint this. The only way you could damage your hardware is by increasing the voltage, you could fry it. But that’s overvolting/ overclock.
@@crisscross5177 What cpu do you have? TPL shouldn’t be locked by default. Only FIVR controls. And about turbo, it’s up to you. By disabling it you’re telling the cpu to not boost to higher frequencies than it’s base one. In other words, No Turbo= less heat but also less performance. Turbo On= More Performance but More heat.

@@borzaradu6276 Did you figure it out? You have to do it in bios, in the advanced section on msi you press Right Ctrl + Right Shift + Left Alt + F2 in bios. click on overclocking, enable overclocking and xtu interface. xtu is an alternate program to throttle stop
You don't need to check speedstep anymore since most modern CPU (IIRC 6th gen+) uses the speedshift feature. and checking the speedshift is also not required because windows 10 manages it automatically and sometimes much better than throttlestop.

I’ve had it running great and cool and come back later with same settings and it runs worse and gets a little hot. Back and forth. Definitely helps a lot. I hit 99°c the other day and now I’m running the same games just as good down in the 60’s-70’s. It’s great.

But after undervolting(applying changes) my laptop gets frozen completely and needs restart, after turning on again my laptop works properly but the heat problem still exists. I have msi gl65 I didnt upgrade the bios. And developer removed the old bios version from website. Its hard to fined compatible bios now. So wait for new update.

You are using the voltage values which are not stable start from lower number like -50mv or -60mv and then try to do stress test and see what stable values you can get.

I'd recommend to use Realbench to test stablility of your system after applying undervolting changes. My Dell G5 15 5500 was stable at -100mV core and -90mV cache. Any lower on either of these and Realbench would give bluescreen errors.

Those 70 and 90W for the GPU. But every single laptop support its own UV values. Some cant go above -60 Try lower the values same for core and cache.✌️
Make changes in first profile. Open TS and profile will auto apply. Every time you open. Even if you close app it will not reset until you make a restart.

Mine doesn’t. I have throttle stop set to run at startup, so as soon as I log in it’s running and applying my under volt profile. Be aware though, constantly running your laptop undervolted puts you at risk for “plundervolt”. I only use my undervolt setting for gaming, if I’m web browsing or anything else I use stock voltages with my max clock rate set to 4ghz instead of 4.5ghz.
My hp g hub changed after some time, I check in the hw monitor that there is no lower voltage thanks to the application in the undervolt connection ...

hi, i use this cpu in my laptop HP Omen 15 Ek1035tx, the specification is intel core i7 10750H and RTX3070 maxq, i had the thermal arround 70-90 with maximum fan for playing games, and reach 99.C during benchmark testing (full load), so that the processor hits thermal throttling, i was try to undervolt 0,075v (recomendation from hp) but this doesn't help much, the temperature stays arround 99.C during benchmark test (full load ) and now my question is is this high temperature normal on this i7 10750H? Change Thermal paste. Make sure you go with Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut or Gelid GC Extreme. Laptops need high viscosity thermal paste do they don't pump out in few days.

Only previous ones are unlocked but for my specific laptop model there are no older bios for download. Not even from my laptop manufacturer site. There are some other Asus laptops but not my one. So I got no way to downgrade bios

I've got a problem where FIVR controls do not change any settings. The voltage slider is greyed out and changing offset does nothing. However, where it says FIVR Control, it doesn't say locked. I have a feeling it may be locked out from the bios, but in the settings for the bios, it shows a setting called XTU Interface being enabled. Would I need to use XTU to do this? Thanks.

I have been testing all different settings today and here is what I found: Speed Shift EPP / On - 128 SpeedStep / Off Offset Voltage - 118.2 and Cache 118.2 Turbo Limits set to 28 (2.8ghz) Cold War max temps 74-75c at 135-140 FPS Idles at 36c If I want the temps for Cold War to not go above 75c then I need to hit Disable Turbo. Do you see anything in my settings that are off? I think I have found the sweet spot.

On my nitro 5 2021 edition has undervolting greyed out. Its locked. I have an i7 10750h and already replacsd thermal paste with thermal grizzly kryonaut paste. It still thermal throttles, power limit and current limit throttles. This is a new laptop and i have a cooling pad. Any advice would be appreciated.
Its blocked in BIOS Version. Complicated to unlock. I have a GP 66 and was hitting 95 to 100 Sometimes. I used liquid Metal and now its 75 to 80 while running 5% faster.
@@anlu2351 maybe i should have tried liquid metal instead of Thermal Grizzly. Although Thermal Grizzly is also really good. I dont think im going to fiddle with anything else and just keep it as is. It's unfortunate though. Also side note: i checked the bios and it doesnt even have anything in the bios related to cpu voltages etc. Its almost as if the bios was stripped of almost everything that's usually in the bios. Hi would keeping the first CPU core at 5 or near that, then down clock the others to 4 or 4.1 be any good, I wouldn't under volt much maybe less than half of what you did.

But some time it crashes if there is large difference.

I'd recommend to use Realbench to test stablility of your system after applying undervolting changes. My Dell G5 15 5500 was stable at -100mV core and -90mV cache. Any lower on either of these and Realbench would give bluescreen errors.

hi, i have a i7 10750 rtx3060 msi thin, i cant seem to unlock the uv option. after i enable it in bios with xtu enable and try to save and exit, it automatically resets the computer before i get a chance to save. any thoughts on this? any help would be appreciated.

@@R-tech890 so, ive been doing some research on the internet after being sick of temp issues, I undervolted it to -125 and lowered turbo ratio limits to 40 for all the cores. cpu stays around 70 degree C. used throttlestop to configure all this stuff. im pretty new to this, just wanted to write and help others if anyones having trouble as i did. no performance drops, no issues. thanks again for the guide for noobs like us.

Open TS and profile will auto apply.

Even if you close app it will not reset until you make a restart.

Mine doesn’t. I have throttle stop set to run at startup, so as soon as I log in it’s running and applying my under volt profile. Be aware though, constantly running your laptop undervolted puts you at risk for “plundervolt”. I only use my undervolt setting for gaming, if I’m web browsing or anything else I use stock voltages with my max clock rate set to 4ghz instead of 4.5ghz.

hi, i use this cpu in my laptop HP Omen 15 Ek1035tx, the specification is intel core i7 10750H and RTX3070 maxq, i had the thermal arround 70-90 with maximum fan for playing games, and reach 99.C during benchmark testing (full load), so that the processor hits thermal throttling, i was try to undervolt 0,075v (recomendation from hp) but this doesn't help much, the temperature stays arround 99.C during benchmark test (full load )

During game if its crossing 85C its not good.
Try to lower voltage till stable values.
And use cooling pad or laptop stand for good air flow
Change Thermal paste. Make sure you go with Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut or Gelid GC Extreme. Laptops need high viscosity thermal paste do they don't pump out in few days.

There is a option disable turbo.
Make sure you have not check that.
Also plug in charger to use full clock speed of the cpu.

Its automatically unabled in laptops.
Just plug in charger and use a little stress test and see what clock speed you are getting..

Only previous ones are unlocked but for my specific laptop model there are no older bios for download. Not even from my laptop manufacturer site. There are some other Asus laptops but not my one. So I got no way to downgrade bios

I've got a problem where FIVR controls do not change any settings. The voltage slider is greyed out and changing offset does nothing. However, where it says FIVR Control, it doesn't say locked.
I have a feeling it may be locked out from the bios, but in the settings for the bios, it shows a setting called XTU Interface being enabled.
Would I need to use XTU to do this?

@@R-tech890 So I have found my favorite settings so far. I have been testing all different settings today and here is what I found:
Speed Shift EPP / On - 128
SpeedStep / Off
Offset Voltage - 118.2 and Cache 118.2
Turbo Limits set to 28 (2.8ghz)
Cold War max temps 74-75c at 135-140 FPS
Idles at 36c
If I want the temps for Cold War to not go above 75c then I need to hit Disable Turbo.
Do you see anything in my settings that are off? I think I have found the sweet spot.

@@R-tech890 I have cleaned the fan, repasted new thermal paste. I have observed something, whenever I turn on turbo mode of my fan. Temps starts to rise 100° C while gaming, but when turbo fan is off, it goes 92-95 degree celcius.

120 doesnt work at all, for me it only doesnt consistenly trash at around -67mV
On my nitro 5 2021 edition has undervolting greyed out. Its locked. I have an i7 10750h and already replacsd thermal paste with thermal grizzly kryonaut paste. It still thermal throttles, power limit and current limit throttles. This is a new laptop and i have a cooling pad. Any advice would be appreciated.
Its blocked in BIOS Version. Complicated to unlock. I have a GP 66 and was hitting 95 to 100 Sometimes. I used liquid Metal and now its 75 to 80 while running 5% faster.
@@anlu2351 maybe i should have tried liquid metal instead of Thermal Grizzly. Although Thermal Grizzly is also really good. I dont think im going to fiddle with anything else and just keep it as is. It's unfortunate though. Also side note: i checked the bios and it doesnt even have anything in the bios related to cpu voltages etc. Its almost as if the bios was stripped of almost everything that's usually in the bios. I come from a desktop so i didnt know how different laptops would be.
