You DO NOT need to check BD PROCHOT and it is advised to turn it off. Your laptop may limit its CPU speed because of other factors such as adapter heating up. Your CPU will protect itself even when it's turned off since it has nothing to do with CPU's own overheating detection. And the adapter overheating part, if you're not overclocking, giving your CPU extra voltage etc. you have nothing to worry about. Those adapters are made to work 24/7 on their rated max wattage.

the key differences between a laptop and a desktop is a laptop doesn't have the cooling capability to reduce temperatures... if you want to reduce temps you need to cap your fps to 60. the only time i uncap the fps is when i'm doing some benchmarking to see how much graphics options i can enable/disable to maintain 1% lows above 60. more fps = more power consumption = higher temps. if you are still looking to lower the temps then you can disable hyper-threading which will further reduce the temps anywhere from 5-10 degrees. 6 cores/6 threads is more than enough for the average user who only plays games and watches videos on their computer. i have a -100.6 undervolt on the core and a -50.8 undervolt on the cache. i've also lowered the cache ratio to 36 instead of 47, this will also further reduce temps. 10750h is using the Skylake architecture which has a stock cache ratio of 36. DO NOT! follow this video as 11 amps of current is not enough to power this CPU... stay with 165 as it has no effect on temperatures. all it does is give the cpu more access to power if it needs it. you will find if you enable "limits" on throttle stop it will show edp throttle with that lower current. speed shift is also unchecked on my setup, im averaging anywhere from 75-78 degrees when gaming. there have been no changes to my core ratio limits in the end if one is looking for high fps performance and lower temps then a desktop is where one's money needs to be invested in. the closest laptop performance ever got to a desktop was with the 10 series, when the gpu's were just as good as the desktop variants
All those laptops with bios locked undervolt makes me so angry! Not even an option to toggle that protection on or off. Default voltages are always way too high especially on gaming laptops.
You'll have to manually decrease the CPU clock speed, then. Just don't disable Turbo Boost outright, it's too much of a performance loss. You can, however, create a separate power plan just for playing videogames.
@@one_step_sideways The only way i know is setting speedshift to a higher value which reduces clocking to its highest multipliers. With unlocked undervolt there is full direct control on the multipliers, Turbo Ratio Limits and ICCMax for very precise fine-tuning.

It only really works or makes sense to do on the few remaining laptops with an old BIOS or where the BIOS can be downgraded. For Dell laptops, the BIOS version must be the one that's from November 2019 or older. For Lenovo, like with ThinkPads, it can be any version, as undervolting works on my T480 with an 8th gen CPU. Get a laptop stand or cooling pad they almost work same but they really make difference. Use throttlestop and see if you able to lower the voltage or not.

Bro when I use your performance mode and play Ac: valhalla at high settings , my screen is getting freezed in between the game. I have to hold the power button and shutdown the pc. Just open the throttle stop wjen you turn on the pc it will apply the setting again. And if you want it to be all time there then set a task in task schedular.

Alright..My pc crashed. Settings were different, not the same as suggested. Hence may need some more experimenting with data fields which I won't as I had to use recovery disk to flash the entire windows.

Buddy its not gonna work. I think you have updated the bios. And with newer bios UV is disabled. We cannot unable it. Many people have this issue. The fix is only wait for new bios update or apply thermal paste.

Try to modify these: 1- Increase Speed Shift - EPP to 128-160 2- Decrease long and short power inside TPL section for long power max make it less than short power max by 10-25 If you still facing high temps try to lower core clock in FIVR

I also have the 10750H, but when I click on FIVR, it shows "locked" instead of "FIVR control" - this won't let me switch to CPU cache - I can only change the CPU core.
When your in bios Hold right shift - right control - left alt -and then press f2 and it should unlock extra options, go over to advanced and scroll down to bottom you will see overclock unlock etc then obviously enable save and quit :)
Hey there. I tried your settings for my Nitro 5 - i7 10750h with a 3060 gpu and it instantly crashes. Its quite interesting that mine did that. To get mine stable I need to swtich to 125mV instead of 250Mv.
@@R-tech890 thanks. Its weird cause i adjusted my settings and now my games run fairly jerky. I teated Injustice 2 max settings and runs perfectly but Hellblade max runs jerky intermittently and not constantly. Also loading textures has a delay. This is my current settings for both CPU settings -125mV - - 100.6mV on both. And ICC Max on default 140. I also have Speedstep enabled and at 128 default. High performance is selected. I resuced clocks to 4.1 on all cores. It randomly got BSOD while testing a game. This js unusual cause on windows 10 it was never an issue. Then i reduced settings from - 100.6mV to - 95.5mV. I ran cinebench for 4 hours straigjt and mt score was really bad. I think it was something like 935 and an i7 7700HQ was over 1800. So im struggling to find stable but good performance settings while reducing heat cause running at 95 degrees and more doesnt help. Especially when converting a movie or series.
If you do 4.1 on all core.... Then do nit lower mv more than 120. Its also varies from laptop to laptop. But prformance shouldnt get lower by much margin.

Do not use same value as mine. Start from -60mv and increase it little by little until you get blue screen. Then use higher value in which you got blue screen previously.
I think it finally worked, in the game settup you used i noticed very little temperature drop, the performance settup gave me 10-15 degrees drop so i think i will use that one, than you so much!

I have an issue on my Dell Inspiron 7501 with the same processor only 10th gen, I have changed the max processor state to 85% and I think it has lowed the temp a bit. They replaced the fans and I never hear them go off. I stream on Twitch, non gaming and before it was getting to 95% temp. I have always been worried to use Throttlestop at risk of damaging the processor, what do you think, I still would like the temp a bit lower. After 3 hours streaming it goes to above 80% (CPU) the Nivida 1060ti doesn't get hot at all
You can use throttlestop to UV the cpu it will nor harm your syatem. Also if you turn turbo boost off your cpu clock will lock to the lowest. You can lower down clock manually by TS. Down it by 2 to 3Mhz you will se great temps and stability..✌️😀

cpu cache doesnt have to be the same. core can be undervolted much farther. also speed step and speed shift are the same tech but speed shift does a better job because its hardware level....... dude please go lookup some of this stuff and update your video because you're misinforming people.
Due to current bios. UV is lockd by default in current bios. Wait for mew update. Or try to get older version but it will be headache so wait for new one..👍

It's dependent on the cache undervolt, usually the cores don't go lower than 2:1 like 150mv cores and 75mv cache. Setting a higher cores undervolt is ignored. Depends on the cpu type.

On seige I get 200 fps at 72c
updated my MSI GL75 LEOPARD 10SFK to latest bios but still cant unluck adjustable voltage part. Same on bios setting there's none.

Intel only alow to HX series laptop which is totally wrong. Previously it was allowed.

The IccMax values in the FIVR menu are different for you in CPU Core and Cache, should I match mine to yours? You haven't mentioned anything about it.

Bro when I use your performance mode and play Ac: valhalla at high settings , my screen is getting freezed in between the game. I have to hold the power button and shutdown the pc. I use the same laptop as yours and same specs. Is there any problem with my laptop. Please help me as gaming preset is giving more fps but still heating issue is there or make a new video regarding performance mode.
Do not use same UV values as me.
And if you using game mode then do UV in game mode.

Just open the throttle stop wjen you turn on the pc it will apply the setting again.
And if you want it to be all time there then set a task in task schedular.

Alright..My pc crashed. Settings were different, not the same as suggested. Hence may need some more experimenting with data fields which I won't as I had to use recovery disk to flash the entire windows.

You should not have to do this. Simply because you got this laptop for the speed and quality. Now you have to hold it back for it to do its job without it crashing. This is pitiful.

i have a -100.6 undervolt on the core and a -50.8 undervolt on the cache. i've also lowered the cache ratio to 36 instead of 47, this will also further reduce temps. 10750h is using the Skylake architecture which has a stock cache ratio of 36. DO NOT! follow this video as 11 amps of current is not enough to power this CPU... stay with 165 as it has no effect on temperatures. all it does is give the cpu more access to power if it needs it. you will find if you enable "limits" on throttle stop it will show edp throttle with that lower current. speed shift is also unchecked on my setup, im averaging anywhere from 75-78 degrees when gaming.

Make sure your ambient temps are under 26C and use cooling pad.
Try to modify these:
1- Increase Speed Shift - EPP to 128-160
2- Decrease long and short power inside TPL section for long power max make it less than short power max by 10-25
If you still facing high temps try to lower core clock in FIVR

Msi is easy… go into the bios and unlock the undervolting settings it’s disabled you need to enable it.
So I got my i7 10th cpu under control but my gpu rtx 2060 is my issue now I’ve already turned clock and mem down 500mhz on both with msi afterburner.

I also have the 10750H, but when I click on FIVR, it shows "locked" instead of "FIVR control" - this won't let me switch to CPU cache - I can only change the CPU core.
Check in bios if somthing blocking this.
Or OC access is disabled.
When your in bios Hold right shift - right control - left alt -and then press f2 and it should unlock extra options, go over to advanced and scroll down to bottom you will see overclock unlock etc then obviously enable save and quit :)

Hey there. I tried your settings for my Nitro 5 - i7 10750h with a 3060 gpu and it instantly crashes. Its quite interesting that mine did that. To get mine stable I need to swtich to 125mV instead of 250Mv.
125mv is enough...beyond this it will crash.
Or you have to lower the clock speed to lower down to mv below 125
@@R-tech890 thanks. Its weird cause i adjusted my settings and now my games run fairly jerky. I teated Injustice 2 max settings and runs perfectly but Hellblade max runs jerky intermittently and not constantly. Also loading textures has a delay. This is my current settings for both CPU settings -125mV - - 100.6mV on both. And ICC Max on default 140. I also have Speedstep enabled and at 128 default. High performance is selected. I resuced clocks to 4.1 on all cores. It randomly got BSOD while testing a game. This js unusual cause on windows 10 it was never an issue. Then i reduced settings from - 100.6mV to - 95.5mV. I ran cinebench for 4 hours straigjt and mt score was really bad. I think it was something like 935 and an i7 7700HQ was over 1800. So im struggling to find stable but good performance settings while reducing heat cause running at 95 degrees and more doesnt help. Especially when converting a movie or series.
If you do 4.1 on all core....
Then do nit lower mv more than 120.
Its also varies from laptop to laptop.
But prformance shouldnt get lower by much margin.

I think it finally worked, in the game settup you used i noticed very little temperature drop, the performance settup gave me 10-15 degrees drop so i think i will use that one, than you so much!

I have an issue on my Dell Inspiron 7501 with the same processor only 10th gen, I have changed the max processor state to 85% and I think it has lowed the temp a bit. They replaced the fans and I never hear them go off. I stream on Twitch, non gaming and before it was getting to 95% temp. I have always been worried to use Throttlestop at risk of damaging the processor, what do you think, I still would like the temp a bit lower. After 3 hours streaming it goes to above 80% (CPU) the Nivida 1060ti doesn't get hot at all
Also is it worth turning turbo boost off? I think lowering the maximum processor state in theory turned it off automatically, but I am not an expert
You can use throttlestop to UV the cpu it will nor harm your syatem.
Also if you turn turbo boost off your cpu clock will lock to the lowest.
You can lower down clock manually by TS.
Down it by 2 to 3Mhz you will se great temps and stability..✌️😀

cpu cache doesnt have to be the same. core can be undervolted much farther. also speed step and speed shift are the same tech but speed shift does a better job because its hardware level....... dude please go lookup some of this stuff and update your video because you're misinforming people.

It's dependent on the cache undervolt, usually the cores don't go lower than 2:1 like 150mv cores and 75mv cache. Setting a higher cores undervolt is ignored. Depends on the cpu type.
