That was a REALLY useful video. It was great that you showed how the cable folds over itself in places. The sound appeared screwed in the last few minutes (commentary was a repeat of earlier). But hey, I follow the pictures :-) Thanks for taking the time to do this and share it. This is what makes TH-cam GREAT! TH-camrs like YOU!

I would like to thank you very much for uploading this video. It gave me the confidence and skills required to complete the task and have my mavic back in the air. I have never attempted anything so intricate.
You are a true star my friend. Keep up the good work. :)

Does the ribbon cable control the motors for the gimbal or is it the other cable that does that. My gimbal is not moving and I'm not sure which cable to replace. Yes I did crash it slightly no real damage to the craft but the gimbal is not working.

Where oh where do you get the new gimbal wire covers and screws for them and the replacement camera screws to build a new one from parts only. Please advise.

Thanks for posting this video, it's one of the better videos I've watched on replacing the ribbon. I followed along and replaced the ribbon on my Mavic and the gimbal seems to work ok, but I have a camera sensor error. Could this be related to one of the ribbon connections not being seated properly?

yes, it's the two connectors you had to unplug on top of the gimbal before you took the gimbal off so check those two.
it is possible you tore one of the gimbal cables also while taking off. they are very easy to tear.
but it could just be a connector is not seated all the way or did you try sensor calibration on the computer?
i am making another video in next day or two that will be even more detailed than this one.

      Thanks for the reply TheA8W12.
At one stage I had no signal reading, no registering of the CD card or the video. I took the top off and cleaned all the rubber substance from round the two connectors you have pointed out and refitted and got the signal and CD card reading back. But not the video.
Also is it possible the ribbon connector that fits into the back of the camera have any effect on reading the video registering?
I don't think I damaged the gimbal cable in any way as I was very careful with those. However, if it is, can I get those parts?
I haven't done any sensor calibration as yet. When you say on the computer, are you meaning through Assistant 2? Or via the Go4 app?
Look forward to your next video.

Hi friend, did you use a generic Flex Cable instead of an original one? It worked well for you? Thank you

Hey. After a crash, my ribbon cable was broken. The Cam was dark and didn't move. Now I've changed the ribbon cable but nothing's happening. Same thing, dark and unmovable cam. What could it be else?

Hi. Have you ever disassembled a Mavic 2 zoom gimbal ?

Is it possible to replace the Video Connection Cable Wire?

ello guys, long story short, crashed my mavic, powered it on, received overloaded motor (gimbal didnt move at all) i get video tho.
Ordered gimbal cable from FS LABS, replaced it, the gimbal moves but i still get overloaded errror and the gimbal doesnt follow controller commands (up / down)
Bad cable? something else damaged? Please help, im desperate.
BTW, after cable was replaced the camera body is getting extremely hot. is that normal? You know we start to see / feel weird/new stuff when we break something and try to repair it.
Also, the camera is stuck looking down (when initiating)

      Hi, jahivan.
Re: "Also, the camera is stuck looking down (when initiating) "
I had that happening too. I found that where the camera lens rotates it has like a neutral position. If it's not in that position when initially starting aircraft it goes to a downward facing position. If you take the lens and slight rotation it, you will feel it click. It will click when you turn it left and right, but at some point, you will the lens move freely with no resistants. Once you feel that neutral position turn on the aircraft. WARNING DON"T OVERDO THE ROTATION It should only need to be rotated 3 or 4 mills left or right.

Gregory Young thank you very much for the information. Will you please post a video about the procedure you are suggesting? It shouldnt take more than a minute. Please i really need it. There are other users suggesting i have to replace the whole gimbal assembly due to a motor malfunction.

Jahivan, could you solve your problem? I have exactly the same symptom in my drone (I also changed the flexible cable)
