  • So I crashed my drone after flying for almost 20 minutes over a park and just when I wanted to do the final fly in a tennis court, did not calculate right and hit the wall of the court. The camera detached from the absorbing board. Here I am fixing it myself.
    I learned how to open it from this folks below:

    Gracias Hermano! You saved me hundreds! I crashed my dads drone and the same exact thing happened to me. I won’t lie it did look intimidating but I followed your steps and now I got the board installed. 2 hours and 12$ spent instead of 200+ for another camera replacement or even new drone! Thanks again

    I came across this video as I occasionally (note: not always) get heavy gimbal shake (sometimes with, sometimes without an "excessive vibration" warning) and that is absolutely useless for films for my Golf&Tesla channel (I use the drone mainly for my golf course reviews, views of Tesla superchargers from above, and occasional landscape footage). And I don't want to take the drone and camera/gimbal apart and if in any way possible avoid replacing any parts. - but thanks anyway. Your video is well made.

    The links you shared shows how to change the ribbon but your video shows changing the black plastic piece. Does it mean there is no ribbon on the new attachment?

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct, it is sold separately. I only needed to change the absorbing board, the ribbon was in good condition. The reason why I included the links on the descriptions was as a gratitude since I learned from them.

    Hi, thank you for your tutorial, very useful! I've followed every step and it seems that the gimbal works perfectly. I see video signal, I can even change the camera settings (like shutterspeed, ISO etc.). Unfortunately when I want to connect through the DJI app, I get the following message in the DJI GO 4 app: "Gimbal cannot receive main controller data" and "Gimbal and Main Controller disconnected. Contact DJI Support if it persists after restart". I can't fly the drone and I don't see the battery status, compass status etc.. I did everything: downloaded the app again, reconnected the main controller, used different USB cables on the controller, updated, restored and refreshed the firmware with DJI Assistant 2 software (all these options fails at 24%) and move on..
    What could it be? Please help me, I'm so frustrated.. I had plans to make cinematic video's in Norway this August.. :(

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, hum sounds like is a different issues that is unknown to my knowledge. I might try to contact DJI as this might have different troubleshooting ways to fix it. I know the feeling, I hope you can find the answer.

    • @omran_tk
      @omran_tk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So I Do Not Forget I've found the problem! It was a damaged flex cable that is connected from the gimbal to the main board. There was a hole in it.. I've damaged it while replacing the absorbing board.. The flex cables are very very fragile. So people: be extra careful, because mine was broken! I'm gonna order a new flex cable.
