Mk4 1.8t GTI 337 Gets A 2.0t Coil Pack Conversion!

With the 2nd GLI part out we just picked up. It came with this 2.0t coil pack conversion upgrade, so I figured we put them to some good use on the 337 GTI.

I’m glad to hear they helped. Since my setup is a k04 hybrid with all fuel/air upgrades I’d imagine better firing would help. Haven’t drove the car yet, but I’m just going to assume they’ll help lol

I would get a longer tube between your maf and tb, so your filter is further out. Then get a plastic tube and with some twist ties you can make a ram air from the front lower vent to the front of the filter. Nice 337

Thanks man! Honestly i haven’t drove it since, but I imagine it’ll ignite a bit better under higher rpm. But just based off start up & idle, its the same lol

It does nothing really. And you don’t even need to use that red plate you can just run them like normal

Did you regap your spark plugs for the 2.0 coils?

I believe I just kept them at .022

Is there any benefit to installing the 2.0T coil packs with the KO3s turbo?

Not 100% sure. Im running a k04 hybrid with all fuel/air upgrades so Im assuming it would help my setup of some sort? 🤷🏼‍♂️ not sure with a stock setup
