That story of "forever bonding" with a praying mantis is beyond description. We are custodians of this planet and all lifeforms upon her. Such Love and Care unite is all along this sacred journey. God Bless You Always.
When I was a kid, I was fascinated by the praying mantis and though (and still do) that they are the coolest insects in the world. Unfortunately, I was terrified of them because I honestly believed that they would attack me if I got close to them. However, about 10 years ago, I was in the front yard smoking and as I leaned against the wall, I noticed a praying mantis about 2 feet away from my face. So I picked it up and handled it and realized that mantids are extremely docile, and some even enjoy being picked up. I ended up buying a nice home for the mantis to live in. I learned that once they get used to you, they become quite affectionate and want to be around you or on you when you're near them. It used to hang out on my shoulder, my head, and latch onto the rim of my glasses. The only time it bit me was on accident. I was feeling her some honey water on my finger and wasn't really paying attention, she finished, and enthusiastically nibbled on the tip of my finger. Needless to say, because of her I ended up adopting a couple of exotic mantids over the years, with my favorite being the idolo mantis and orchid mantis.
I don't know much about exotic mantids, but the three that I've had (all ones I've found in my backyard) were all so friendly. Admittedly, I did see that my female, Dahlia, did not enjoy being handled much. I ended up letting her go so that she could do her own thing. It's very fun to see how something as small as a bug can have varying personalities, likes, and dislikes. The first praying mantis I ever had, Gumball, was really the one that stole my heart. I met him in Virginia during summer, after a six hour long road trip. I had placed my cap down on the table, and not five minutes passed when I noticed my little green friend staring up at me. At first, I was startled, but I've always been an animal lover, so I adjusted quickly and soon offered it my finger. It seemed like he was used to climbing on people, because he instantly crawled up my arm and perched himself on my head. You could tell that it was his favorite place to be. Whenever I took him out to play, he would always sprint onto my hand so that he could get to my hair as fast as possible. One of my favorite things about Gumball was his ability to scare off my dogs. I wouldn't have to worry about them eating him, because he'd always start smacking their faces if they got too close. Maybe he was trying to climb on them too, but the fact that it looked like he was throwing punches was always enough to put a smile on my face. There was only one dog that I think Gumball was friends with, though. My little rescue dachshund, Timmy (aka Dum-Dum). Gumball would crawl up his leg while Timmy was sitting in my lap and perch himself right on his neck, where his fur was thickest. Timmy's reaction to this was always adorable. He'd sniff the mantis cautiously before snorting and putting his head back down. Little Timmy didn't care for the mantis much, but Gumball sure did love him. I haven't mentioned my second male, Bruce, yet. He was nothing compared to Gumball, but he still did appreciate attention a little bit. I think he had to be in the right mood for it. I'd have the best luck handling him when it was around dusk. Unlike my first male, Bruce wasn't very active and preferred to just sit on my hand rather than crawl all over me. I am still trying to find another mantis that was as loving as Gumball was, but the truth is that they are wild animals, and being friendly to humans doesn't have that much of an evolutionary advantage. P.S. -- Gumball's favorite food was moth. He never turned them down when I offer them, even if I fed him less than an hour ago. Lol.

Even bugs have feelings. I remember when my friend and I were walking together and a green dragonfly landed on my friend's chest. We named him Dragon... but one of our classmates slapped Dragon off her shirt and squished him.. we both screamed at the boy and his stupid excuse was "I am allergic!". Dude, no lie, I have had a similar relationship with a praying Mantis too. This is real, folks! Mantises are truly very smart insects, with real personalities. Also, if you ave never seen a Mantis baby hatching happen, you must. The case that they come out of looks almost exactly like a type of stinging asp in parts of the world. It's incredible to watch these little perfect baby Mantises by the dozens squirm out of their case. You gotta check it out!
Praying mantis is my spirit animal. I've had several profoundly life-changing encounters with them through the years. They are such amazing creatures, as are all beings in the animal kingdom.
Yeah, mantids are actually very non-threatening against humans. They CAN grab and bite you if they're feeling threatened (so don't try to poke them or smack them around etc.), but otherwise they're usually perfectly fine to crawl over you, aren't bothered by your presence etc.
What a beautiful praying mantis I’m so happy you found each other and got to connect with one another. I’m sorry I know it’s hard to lose them their like family
These bug stories really get to me. How little time they have with them but how much of an impact it has on their lives. We can learn more about how to love from these people.
This... is a beautiful story. I befriended a mantis in Arizona once, and a wasp on the dashboard of my car. I gave the wasp some of my smoothie, before she flew out my window. She loved it, and I could tell she had been hot and thirsty / hungry. She was in no way aggressive. It was touching.
I still remember that this little greeny dude (different praying mantis) harassing me when I play Ingress with my friends last year! What an epic experience!
What a sweet video. I literally couldn't stress enough how insects have personalities, whether that be ants, spiders, or bees. Each and every single living being has their own soul, and consciousness. Sometimes, if we are lucky, we meet a soulmate creature (whether it be a bug, or a furry pet). I feel that they can pick up on our energy, and have other senses that we don't have. This guy has a good aura about him, and animals and bugs can feel it💙🙏

My friend and I stayed with the body. She cried and I teared up a little bit as I tried to comfort her. I was friends with that boy, but when he did that I didn't speak to him for the rest of the year lol
WTF IS WRONG WITH HIM
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I wanna make a feel good movie about this. "Bug Boy" or something like that, where his best friend from another lifetime gets reincarnated as a bug and hangs out with him.
I need to see this
There is a movie like that on netflix and it's really funny and sad at the same time. I forgot the name, but it's indian

Every time I've seen them in the garden ever since I was young I was always fascinated by these creatures' appearances.
Same guys, that had the cute butterfly ❤️
R.I.P butterfly
Can't tell if this is real or fake since he's the same guy who had a 'special connection' with a butterfly, he either has;
- A Special Connection to Bugs.
OR
- Is Faking these and going through insects like crazy.
Elle Calladine well subhanallah god had created man to be special from others and this man is a good example. I doubt it’s fake because this world has those kind of people that were born special

This is a Beautiful Story.
Butterfly reincarnated as a praying mantis
Their bond is so special 😭😭❤️❤️
Sacri ficer thank you so much you too ❤️❤️
Dude, no lie, I have had a similar relationship with a praying Mantis too.
They are one of the few bugs I don't mind.

Praying mantis is my spirit animal. I've had several profoundly life-changing encounters with them through the years. They are such amazing creatures, as are all beings in the animal kingdom.
That’s just how mantids are. I raise and breed them. They’re all just chill little buddies.
I work outdoors, and they come out in August every year, they really are all just chill little buddies.
Wait I thought they were cannibals..?
@@tanvikhare9710 lol
Yeah, mantids are actually very non-threatening against humans. They CAN grab and bite you if they're feeling threatened (so don't try to poke them or smack them around etc.), but otherwise they're usually perfectly fine to crawl over you, aren't bothered by your presence etc.
What a beautiful praying mantis I’m so happy you found each other and got to connect with one another. I’m sorry I know it’s hard to lose them their like family
Such a cute story!! I cried in the end 😭 These people are so nice, so kind.
Praying mantis are So Super Cool & Extremely Smart! My husband and I raised them for 10 years in Texas.
This is really beautiful. It has me all teary eyed, that's hard to do anymore. Blessings to him.
Weirdo
That was so lovely to see, made me sad when time was up
The fact that he was also friends with a butterfly- like the insect like him- I attract mosquitoes that bite me-
Lol
Ah yes 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 same here same here
EVERYTHING makes me cry! Sweet story.
I’m just amazed because praying mantises are my favorite kind of insect
These bug stories really get to me. How little time they have with them but how much of an impact it has on their lives. We can learn more about how to love from these people.
I live by a pond. I have often played with Dragon flies. The consciousness of animals is much higher than we know☺
Awwww....brought tears to my eyes. R.I.P. Frankie.
This... is a beautiful story.
This guy has a good aura about him, and animals and bugs can feel it💙🙏
Agree
You have a good heart man we are blessed to have you on the planet please don't ever change.
