Yeah, I could've done that but sometimes these videos get really really long maybe next time. And I'm really not much of a Carver it's more of sanding ha ha. Sam

Niice job Sam , you give a nice view of the cuts and a running discription of the work without an annoying background music track . I made a tool rest from one inch round bar stock , modeled after a DYI video, that made a beveled end of the post , and welded it laying flat on bench, you can go from end to end without having your fingers pushed back from the post like the threaded units from oneway
Used a scrap of round bar stock , and saved some bucks

Very cool looking acorn box; the texturing on the top and carved base stem are neat features. I really like the first of the month; it is always a treat to see how each of you treat the project for the month and also the different approaches you each take to the video production. Now off to watch the two remaining videos.

Carol Yes it is a lid that is a little tight, but not too tight to make the lid split. Sam

Sam , have you ever used a Ray Key box gouge ? I have one and they are brilliant . You can lever cut from center to edge of bottom , without a pilot hole
