- Joined by his bush buddy, Greg tells the story of a hidden secret lake, high up in the Rocky Mountains. He's been trying to reach it for decades, but every time he attempts the hike, something seems to go wrong.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

My grandpa used to visit Saskatchewan and BC and take photos of the natural beauty of your fine country. He’s unable to do it anymore, so in the future I plan on visiting and capturing nature as he did. Thanks for all you do Greg, these videos inspire to explore the great outdoors and reconnect with nature in today’s virtual world.

Greg is certainly a legend, I have watched every single video of his sometimes twice, three, four times, what a guy. I would love it if he wrote a book. I for one would certainly buy it, and I'm sure it would be a great success. A book with some's traps, Catch and cook, building shelters, and of course his wonderful stories, that really would be great.
I remember thinking the first time I saw Greg on Alone that he needed his own show it's been so cool to see everything grow ever since.
