- Greg and the HNN chef have fun hitting the streets of Vancouver Island for a double AMA (Ask Me Anything), answering any questions that come their way!
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

If I saw Greg standing outside a store in OH with a sign saying ask me about bush crafting. I'd have to cancel my plans for the rest of that day. So many questions I have for that man lol
Ask? On this thread
MY thoughts exactly they passed up on a gold mine of information.
Dude was just about to comment this, these people had no idea how much knowledge that man holds.
This is so goofy. It's one of my favorite videos with you and the chef. I love it!

Doesn't your hammock come with a rainproof cover? Or do you have to use a tarp?
And yes rainbow are better than cutthroat I like the way the rainbow fights way better
I liked to use plantain for cuts-but i dont want to masticate it-can i add a litte water and use a mortar and pestle-at home of course. Or can i make a plantain salve?
I was just watching the 30 day Canadian Rockies challenge with Zach Fowler and I could only get a couple of glimpses of the fixed blade knife you were using to cut up some onions,I think it was the same knife you were using in some of your videos,I was wondering where you got it?
I’m away and university and Greg ovens is in my hometown. Clearly I don’t have my priorities straight
Greg, what do you use on your hair to keep it so bushcraft fabulous?
I forgot to ask ya if you’ve been blessed with an elk, moose or deer this fall/winter? It would make my month to get a reply back!
Has me thinking how interesting it would be ti do a viewer AMA, i reckon viewers would have a lot of detailed and more personal questions for Greg
Greg, you may want to set up at a bass pro or Cabella’s where people are actually outdoors oriented, lol
How many cups of dirt shoul I use when cooking New Orleans Dirty RICE ???
Dirty rice is originally puertarican. Use cumin chilli and garlic
@@johnnyharperscoutstable5386 arroz sucio
Can you do a video about Indian Pipe, and how to use it?
Kinda wished more people would have been interested in.....you know.....how to survive..... Ah well, love your videos Greg!!!
How do you put in your own well?
Ask GREG if he knows of, or has ever invented a bushcraft trap designed for catching wild women ?!?!?
Will have to come back to Australia and catch a Eel tail catfish from the freshwater dams people here say they would swap a trout for 1 any day they are that good but trout still my favorite
Interesting 😂
Dealing with the general public😆
I'm a fisherman and I have never been hunting for any kind of animal but from what I hear about the meat of deer , gators and a number of game that the back straps of animals is the best meat . Now that's just my opinion I don't know for sure but from what I've heard back straps are the best.
I think you should stick to your element. THE WOODS DUDE!!!
a good call to have deer hunting is actually one of the mouth reed turkey calls so you can cluck and gobble your way to your stand or blind. and calling is not just opinion its situational and knowing when and when not to call. blind calling is normally not reccomonded because if there is a buck near by that hear's it 9/10 times it will just cirble around downwind from you and catch your scent and be gone before you ever even see it. and during the rut if you do blind call the more realistic you can make it the better. i only really do it when im hunting on the groud and ill take a shed and start raking it on some brush stomp my feet as im doing some grunt's making it sound as much like a big buck all pissed off fmakin a rub on a tree. but you also have to be on ur toes because ive had them run in really fast and spot me.
Hey Greg & Chef; I will ask you both; What do you think about Sour-Grass!? It grows wild, long stemmed, with Yellow Flower on top, cpt, ya eat, or chew on the stem!? I Used to do that when I was young, and the Neighborhood kids told me that a Dog Pee's on it first to make it tast like that! Anyone ever remember That!!?? (Curious!) I also ❤ What you Guy's are doing, butt, I also want you back out there Catchin-Cookin Trappin Ma-Nature Style as always! We have more to Learn from you both! I see you most always using your fingers when you prepare, & eat Foods (Most Effective!) They are our Personal Tools (God-Given!), to accomplish the tasks at HAND! 🤲! People with Arthritis know, it hurts now cz, overuse of Hard Work, and Injuries past! I'm sure glad that ya's help the public understand some things! GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤😁👍👍😎🤗🙏🏿
I Forgot to mention, the Bravery it takes to put yourselfers out there in the Public: Never knowing how they will respond to you both, sometimes it's Negative and Dangerous as it ever has been! I believe that you know how to handle yourselves! I Pray for you all the time in the City, & The Bush-Wilderness! 😁, GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤🙂🙏🏿🤔🤗

People can't go more than 3 days without water.
Ask me anything about my beard.
How do you keep bugs from nesting in your Beard?😮
he doesn't @@James-yp5dn
Are you related to the bearded lady?
Food and bushcraft munchcraft😅
What happened to your videos about survival?
The chef is always drunk😂😻
U say your always drunk? Oh that chef would pry cook yer goose 😅😂
how has this dudes team not figured out where to place his lav? It's scuffed literally everytime he collabs with Greg. Put it on the outside of your gown, not on your chest hair covered by 4 layers of clothing.
He is wrong about the highway hunting it's from the inland highway to the ocean and the reason why you're not allowed to use single projectile weapons is because they travel too far and there's houses around and roads people too many uncareful people hunting because if you're shooting a single projectile you got to make sure that there's something behind what you're shooting do you stop that projectile
We have yellow wood sorrel here in Calgary! I didn’t know it was edible, but it looks absolutely lovely in a front yard, and it makes having a front yard so much easier because when the wood sorrel spreads out across the ground, it covers the whole area so that the grass can’t grow, which means you don’t have to spend time cutting your grass in your yard! Not recommended for a south facing yard, because it likes partly sunny partly shaded areas, typical in forest meadows.
Is it true that you are the son of Sasquatch ???
They never seem to bother him when he's out there Buscrafting. Either that or he's not tellin us everything. I've asked him if he ever runs into Squatch out there but he never says anything about it 🤔 hmm, I don't know. But your question to Greg( are U the son of Sasquatch) is funny 😂😅❤
I wanna see Iranian style cave build… so wet here, is it possible?
FACEBOOK?
My grandfather always told me never trust a skinny chef
I have always heard it pronounced sorrel and not cer-el so sorry Greg.
Guy at the end bombarding chef is a tool
I was reading the comments wondering if anyone else felt the same.
Guy really made himself look like a d-bag. Can you imagine what working in one of his restaurants was like?
@@drrrtbagbc3396 it would have been hell he is a know it all
I have asked…and you ignore me, lol. So I will check back in as my interest is peaked, sorry but it is what it is, I don’t think you pay any attention to comments and leave it to Fowlers crew…shame.
