- This beautiful afternoon we are here at shorncliffe flicking the outgoing low tide flats. The lure of choice is the 3.2" Daiwa Bait Junkie Minnow in Ayu Pattern on a TT headlockz 1/4oz 2/0H size jighead.
Apologies for the lack of fishing videos, I havent been able to get out fishing for the past couple weeks. So hopefully the flathead are biting and we can get a video out. Alrighty then, im itching for a flick, so lets get straight into it.

Got my pb at this spot today great spot
Yesterday morning I went up to Brighton and between 7am and 7.30am caught 4 good size Bream / Tarwhine. They were going nuts. Within 30 secs of first cast hooked up /but under sized). Then 4 keepers in half an hour. Glorious weather and dead calm.
Was it high tide? I went there last Sat, spend 3 hours but got nothing...

High tide was 8am. Fished 1.5 hours either side. I took the kids and used prawns with circle hooks ftw 👍
I’ve realised the two main reasons I keep coming back to yr videos 1. The locations Hay’s Inlet, Clontarf, Nudgee Beach these and there are others are all really good fishing spots, spots I’d like to fish 2. All action played out in land based scenarios. As I’m a land based fisherman myself this appeals to me. Keep em coming Jason.

Nice to see you with your feet wet & a fish on the end of your line. I haven't caught a decent Flathead since 24th April. I haven't even caught a Flathead since then. Small Bream, chopper Tailor, Whiting have been my catches. The only standout was a Turtle that dropped the bait near the Kayak. It was unharmed. Thanks for sharing.

Surprised you got a few in that spot at that time of day. As soon as the light comes up, the imbeciles on jet skis and in speed boats turn it into a noisy wave pool as you noticed. Love your vids though mate especially on a stormy day like today when I can't get out and wet a line myself

I usually go fishing around Shorncliffe pier because there is a wide variety of different spots you can fish. Would you suggest any other places near there?

what line are you using mate?
Hey mate, my fishing gear setups are all in my video description below. The line I am using is Shimano powerpro braid and Ocean fluorocarbon leader, both in 10lb. I've tried plenty other lines, but I found this to be the best for me. Cheers for watching and leaving a comment 👍
Dude. You need to tighten your drag up a bit. Flathead have a bony upper mouth. You missed those first fish because of either of these 2 things. 1 your plasti was sitting sideways on the bottom ( not floating plastic) . 2 you didn't drive the hook in hard enough. Chat to me for more info if your keen to know more. Nice video though. 👍
