Word of caution to anyone doing this on a Harbor Freight engine stand: So, I just was doing this step and had the bolts strip out of the engine around 4:30 where you're tapping on the crank girdle/lower block to seat the dowels. See how Kenny goes to brace the engine while Sergio is hammering down on the block to seat it? Yeah, I needed someone to pick the weight up like that apparently. Instead the block broke loose from the stand. Top of the block hit the stand and then then ground, but thankfully not my foot. Dented a little at two edges Hoping it's salvageable, but we'll see... To prevent this, make sure you have decent thread engagement on your particular engine stand. I had K20 trans bolts holding the engine through the stand, and I thought they were engaged enough, but come to find out that they were only about 5 threads in. It ripped the aluminum threads right out. I am thinking longer bolts to secure the block are a good idea if you can find some, and double check it/support the block before you put too much pressure on that far end.
I went to my local hardware store to get longer M12x1.25 bolts when I saw how little threads I'd be able to get in using the transmission bolts on my harbor freight stand, I'm surprised you tried to do it like that. Did you manage to salvage it?
Light coat of oil/assembly lube on bearings, not a heavy coat, especially assembly lube as the danger if too much is used could clog oil passages momentarily
does the crank caps and the bolts have to go back to it's original place? i bought one that was taken apart and i heard you need a rebuild if you don't know where the original cap/bolt placement is....
noob question, but for rod, crank, & cam bearings; do you have to file them down if they are too big or w/e? Guess what I'm trying to say is how do you know what size bearings do you need? factory bearing from the dealership or what? I'd like to build my k24a2 motor, but never built a motor before.
i noticed that you dont have oil squirters on ur block mine does. could I just block them off with no issue down the road? (built motor k20/k24 with cp pistons)
Bro... why do you articulate so many words so badly? For example: Important = Imporh' en Didn't = Dinh' Motivated = Motivayh' ed Written = Wrih' in So cringe
It really just comes down to being an accent. the people who live around me an I speak similarly, in specific we say mouh'en instead of mountain for example. Its not cringe-y, its just how people pick up speaking habits from the people around them, leading to area specific speech patterns.
@@Stigsonic true... it is definitely something more and more people are picking up. And it's spreading so quickly... it's essentially a trend at this point... a cringey, annoying trend. 👍🏼

Great stuff man. Don’t ever stop making these vids 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Greetings from croatia,eu! Love your vids, keep on doing good job!! 🖖
Why is spraying brake clean through oil passages so damn fulfilling?
Lol. Good job tho. All information is good information bro.

I did not notice and perhaps you did, but, did you applied lube to the inside diameter of the rear crankshaft seal before installing the crankshaft?
Hey man good work on your videos i have a question what did you torque your crankshaft main cap bolts to
Awesome job👍💯
Where can I get the picture for how to apply the bond?
do you have the pattern for the honda bond for the main girdle been trying to find it every where
Stock crank ? Also what cams are u using
bro,k24 crankshaft billet is 106mm or 114mm?
i noticed that you dont have oil squirters on ur block mine does. could I just block them off with no issue down the road? (built motor k20/k24 with cp pistons)
Yeah you should be fine buddy.
So what transmission are you seating this in...
Hey what was the crank girdle torque specs
what engine are you building currently???
crank crv or tsx ?
What part is that at 3:29 sir?
Thrust washer
what is the book you use to see all the spec? And Where did you get it?
haynes manual, amazon
its the OEM rsx shop manual, you can find it on ebay.
thanks@@SERGMOTIVEGARAGE
What book is that
oem service manual
Love the content! Do you think a k20a3 is worth building?🤔
its not the ideal choice lol
I'm debating on doing it just because it's not very common. I got it for free anyways so 🤷♂️
bruh set the crank down and spray that shit is going everywhere and it SUCKS especially when you work in the garage barefoot
Good without voice
