That was a bit scary lol it was like prepping for a body dismemberment.... 😂😂😂 Nice job on the build! Something I'd like to do when I get some time in the future!
First of all my machine shop ordered std bearing and measured everything before I did anything. When I took the engine apart everything looked perfect, no abnormal or uneven wear so there's no reason why it would have needed oversized bearings . Hope that makes sense
Buying the block off Craigslist, machine work, pistons, rods, bearings ... I'm in about $1500 . Up side to buying it is you know I'll be right and don't have to worry if you did something wrong.id rather do it myself.
Ha your production value keeps getting better and better, and to think that you record with a phone, mind blown. So is this what you're going to put into the crx you eventually get? You gotta come down to Arizona and find you a nice rust free Honda.
Thank you bro, yes this is going into a crx and I'm with you on that. When I'm ready to buy a crx it won't be from Chicago. I'll be looking for a crx from Arizona/Texas 👍just have to figure out how I'm going to do that because I need to buy one that will be able to make the trip back home
U should apply a light coat of oil on the back side of the bearings so they slide in easier without gouging the backside of the bearings, your information was completely incorrect about the back of the bearings having to be dry
All videos are like that. I appreciate comments, even the ones that say cool video since I spent a lot of timing making it 😂👍 the intro was a little late for Halloween but better late than never lol
Finally the youtuber I have been searching for. Thank you for the videos!
Thanks Hank hill !
Thumbs up Jonathan!
Thanks, I'd like to have it together already but because of TH-cam vids 😂

You measured clearances with plasti gauge with bearings installed. How to come up which bearings (std, hx or oversized) to buy before installing?

Are the bearings oem or aftermarket currently building a k20a2 and can’t decide between oem or aftermarket bearings
I'm using aftermarket bearings that my machine shop picked out for me
I have k20a head out of euro R which block your recommend for turbo setup ???
Whats the little plastic line thing for?
Is it cheaper to just buy an assembled short block rather than rebuilding it?
Depends what you mean, assembled as in stock parts or built with aftermarket parts?
The mech a nic aftermarket. I see jbr, prayoonto going around for 2500

The mech a nic i see a 1k difference which you can invest on the head...
Exactly, and I have about $1400 in the head right now
Isn't turn is 90 deg instead of 65?

Crank shaft bearings without grease?
Bearings go in dry. Assembly lube goes on between the bearing and crankshaft
Thanks for posting 👍👍👍
No problem. Thanks for watching 💪
is this a stock block or a billet block cant tell. sorry if i sound dumb im trying to build my em2 with an a4
Stock block
I thought you supposed to loosen the crank girdle in reverse order (outside in) and not in the torque sequence
I'm sure either way is fine
Quoting Jafro! Subscribed ;)

It begins!
It's been a while but I have the main parts to start assembly
I was ducking behind a pillow at the beginning. Very scary!!! 19 views... One comment. Why are people afraid to leave a comment? Weird.
