Yes the dough can be frozen for up to 3 months. Make sure it is well wrapped with plastic and placed in a freezer bag. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Then rest on counter 10 minutes before using. If the dough gets to warm and soft to handle return it to the refrigerator for 30 minutes. I frozen many kinds of dough this way. It’s handy to have frozen specially when it’s needed immediately. I also prefer all unsalted butter in my dough.
