I made this pastry dough and it was awesome! So flaky at the centre and crispy at the edges. I used a Cajun spice chicken with some white sauce for the filling.
Hi, both the dough and the pie look really great, thank you for enriching us with this recipe, i consider to do it.. and in return there is one another dough recipe which is very versatile for these kind of pies, and very delicious, here it is: 100gr butter (cold) 100ml vegetable oil (sunflower) 100gr yoghurt 1 egg white (yolk is spared to use as egg-wash) 10gr salt 1 little pocket baking powder 350gr flour (all-purpose) I work cold as you do, but not necessary to keep in fridge, besides because of baking powder you need to move on with the assambly phase immediately, use any filling like cheese, potato, minced meat and give any shape you like, i generally get a wallnut-big piece, give a round&2-3mm thick shape in my hand, put a teaspoonful filling at the center, round with the dough around and get a little pie ball.. eggwash, 30min at 180C, super delicious! Note: If you dont put salt and use sweet filling like apple, choco etc, it turns to sweet pie with some powdered sugar on top.. versatile!
@@isiayeijennifer6927 All get in at the beginning of kneeding the dough, do not kneed long because the more you kneed, the more gluten in the flour gets activated and hardens the dough, this contrarily is kind of a dough which is due to get crumbled in mouth easily, so to kneed just to get all of the ingredients mix homogenously and turn to a dough is enough..
@@sabeenaakrishna1834 10gr.. i dont want to mislead you with spoon measure which may vary a lot.. one more point: if i will knead with hand i use cold butter, warmth of my hand gets it softened, if i use stand mixer, then i use the butter softened at room temperature, both is ok..

What did you apply on the pie before applying it with egg wash.. Was that oil? Then agg wash? Last but not least, did you add a tablespoon of water to the egg wash or it was just egg? HI, hope I'm making sense. Looking forward to your reply. I wanna try this out
