How do I join?
When you *buy* this game, what you actually purchasing is the rights to the workbench and mod creation tools, the playable game itself is just an extra, like a free coffee with a sausage roll.
I actually like the base game there’s not really any games in the setting and I’m a fan of retro guns and gear
True essentially but just like arma 3 you’ve got certain private servers/communities that are sick such as the one I’m in - 75th Ranger Regiment.

This is the perfect opportunity to bring back Capture The Island game mode from Operation Flashpoint days. Glad they brought Everon back, it brought back so many memories. If you're not familiar with CTI you have a.i resistance in every town that you eliminate and take control of the town all while earning income for each town you control. There are two teams with each team having a Commander. The Commander is responsible for building a base that supplies the players with a barracks, vehicle factory, tank factory, and aircraft factory, The commander also is responsible for setting up base defenses. The base can be built where you want on the map, and you can even build multiple bases if needed. So, in short it becomes a game of track down the enemy base and destroy it to win or control every town on Everon for 2 minutes to win. Imagine 32 vs 32 players and then each player has 11 a.i soldiers under their control. Makes for massive fights and convoys.

People might be more familiar with how they introduced it in A2 as "warfare mode" then again in A3 as something else, but yes.. Good fun.. Although Conflict mode in Reforger is essentially that if you'd tried the game you'd be very familiar with the game mode instantly... It's precisely as you explained CTI and has been in Reforger since the first version of it in 2022.. Just without the AI commanding, it's like those servers that were strictly PVP CTI. Just with less vehicles as it's newer... I joined Arma in 2002 and Reforger is all that already.. This new update was more refining what's already in place. I didn't bother watching the video the title was misleading enough, Reforger has always been good it's like every Arma since the start mate, it evolves over time and you especially should be playing it already if you aren't because it's just like the old days, but better in many ways.. The supplies for example are a team effort they're physical real-world supplies that are needed to be transported between bases captured from the AI resistance.. while the servers are still smaller 16v16 it's a new engine and it'll probably increase as things stabilise or into Arma 4 etc.. You talk of it like you've never played it, and have played it at the same time therefore logic says you should probably be playing it with the rest of us OFP vets instead of waiting for someone else's opinion on "whether or not it's good yet" just my 2cents mate, if you're a Flashpoint vet you're old enough to make up your own mind... just sayin bud.
Conflict & CTI = Same but instead of commanding ai you have people and when a good team is coordinated and knows what they're doing you can milsim the fuck out of Conflict. Problem is, them MilSim types also only like the MilSim for hierarchy most of the time the control, so they prefer to pew pew with AI but I reckon a human opponent is much more MilSim than an AI and idk about you but knowing my enemy are competent in the same shit i know can be pretty fuckin scary sometimes.. games get intense when you have good people on both teams.. disregard popular opinion, jump in waters always been warm, some people are just a little more sensitive than others if you get my meaning, games always been good.. played every alpha/beta since OFP Arma 3 had a shit launch too, same desync issues this one had but they fixed them it stabilised then bam nearly 13 years later they're still dropping DLC this engine is new.. Reforger is experimental yeah, but don't you wanna dip your feet in and give your input into how you want #4 to be? Feedback here is what matters more than dipshit's opinion on 'what's good' and whether or not you should buy into it lol. Self-promoting piece of shit, damn right.. check my channel i don't fuck around with giving out my opinion i just play the game and have fun as I've done since 2002.. Hope to see your name pop up in Conflict sometime mate have a good one! I have 418 subs i dont care i dont even know why they sub to me lol.. You get my opinion right here.. if you want to play CTI, come join us in conflict within Reforger as we've been having a blast since '22 even some of the bugs were fun, desync sucks ass but some of them have been a riot.. Truthfully.
I had to stop playing this game because it was so buggy and couldn’t load into servers, recently I hopped on and it’s all fixed. Amazing game and probably the most realistic game on console
Same I refunded it on steam and went back to Squad and Tarkov lol

arma 3 with all the mods I have installed still provides so much entertainment for me. I can't wait for AR to eventually have all their mods fleshed out its going to be amazing. I know A4 will be out by then by I love these games and I will gladly put more money for these developers.
Whats good about Arma reforger is that its using the same engine as Arma 4 so all the mods should be compatible on launch.

you people are such giant maroons. the only thing that will improve games like this is single player. there are a million multiplayer games like this, they all are terrible filled with humans

Plus you can load up a session yourself and set it to private if you want to play by yourself so bad. No hate mate just find your own way to have fun and not hate on others way of having fun since it does nothing for you mate.

Hey Invictus, with the mods you got, how much space does this game take up?
It's around 14 Gigs for the game and up to 20 gigs of mods on Xbox. I'd guess the biggest servers use around 8 GBs of mods, but I didn't check for a while.

Games looking good a lot better than when i saw it at release still not sure on buying it or not; as im sure if you want good content though you would probably have to join a big server like this and play a long. Also does this have upnp can you host your own server without port forwarding and no steam workshop plus my rigs kinda old too i7 with a gtx 1660 ti who knows if i can even run it. Still glad to see bohemia putting work in thanks for the video.

Is this coming to PS5 ? You mentioned its on console, but I don't believe its available for playstation (PS5) owners. Would love to see this come out of the PS5 as Hell Let Loose is my go to right now which is .... OK, but the details in ARMA when it comes to military tactics from a full scale infantry perspective is impressive and exciting to see. Hoping to join the fun soon or ill just get a darn XBOXSX, lol. so im new to PC and new to arma.. does this game take kindly to new arma players? I am a hell let loose vet so I am very aware of how milsims work and play but new to arma. Also im wondering if it is PS5 controller friendly or only KBM and xbox controller. Also i will say my PC is built very well with a 4070 graphics card and 32 gigs of ram. My last question is, is this a good game to use as a stepping stone for Arma because i do plan on getting arma 4 whenever it releases lol. Thanks!
I play on Xbox with mouse and keys and it's great. I can have all the mods I need and play with PC players on good servers. This is the way it should be. I can't wait to see this game improve even more.

Im just glad that arma reforger never presented itself like a finished game. Too often in the big game world games are put out unfinished yet marketing says the opposite.

I really like reforge ever since i divorced it in the Xbox store but man some times you run into a lot of elitests who just won't help you out or straight up bully and disrespect you because you're not a service member or you make a simple mistake

The biggest issue for console definitely is getting consoles to work well with modded server
Graphics are greats, geography is awesome, map is super detailed and with variety, shooting is great, driving is nice compare to other games, gameplay far less clunky than arma 3. Imho it just needs some better mods and better servers (10fps isnt enought). AND IMHO the map needs 200+ players, 50 vs 50 doesnt fill it! Dont understand why pple play broken and full of esp cheaters dayz with 100k peak and only 1000 people peak on this game that has a far better yet small community ...

Squad is exclusively PVP. Arma Reforger has PVP, but most people don't play Reforger for PVP, they play it for PVE. Big military operations with 60 players (or more) against AI.

This game has gotten wayy better since launch at launch the game was janky the it was very glitchy but that has been fixed sure the game still has some glitches since launch this but at least its not the very glitchy game 1 year ago

@@loshydoshy not much like 14gb I think, but the mods go on to your c drive, which is a nightmare for people with low space on that drive.

@@ayespenzo358no it goes to the driver where you have installed the game lol, i have the game installed on my ssd and the mods goes there too
You can change the dir where mods download to anything you want if you add this launch parameter in Steam preferences of Reforger -addonDownloadDir D:\DownloadedMods
The one thing I don't like about dayz stand alone is the lack of tanks and all the toys.
