Hello everybody! Since the Wii U was announced, I pretty much wanted to get it. But because of more important stuff (such as a new computer and laptop, capture card, headphones, etc.) I was never able to actually save up money to get it. I actually did a special series of videos to say good bye to the great and awesome Wii. This is some sort of ending to those videos.
The cycle of the Wii is coming to its end. But Wii videos are still going to be published (yes, MOAR MARIO KART), but I'm planning different things for this year. But I will tell you more about it in future months.

When I did the transfer process today there was tons of games I didn’t know I had save data for at one point a screen popped up saying “moving rockband save data to sd card”
and another popped up saying “moving crash mind over mutant save data to sd card”
Why am I feeling sad when I never had a Wii. Only played with it once. But it feels so sad.

Not gonna lie, I legit cried watching the Pikmin move everything over to my Wii U. The transfer tool was the last ever software used on my Wii.
Edit : Hey, everyone! It’s time for another edit, but this is the first one lol. Today was a sad day since my parents are purging our house of old things we don’t need, and taking them to the dump. I was devastated to find the Wii gone, and I was too late to grab it back. They should’ve at least told me first. But I’m mostly sad because it’s going to the dump instead of some other person’s home. How unfortunate, but at least the memories will always be here.

I never actually could do it on my Wii and Wii U, I never really wanted too since I didn’t have much software, just kinda disk games. But I love Nintendo’s approach on the pikmin carrying the software over to the Wii U, and then that one that almost got left behind aASASAA! It’s kinda sad, but creative!

WiiFlow is not homebrew, just a hacker channel that loads USBs to format it or to paralize the wii

I absolutely love how Nintendo went out of their way to present the transfer tool like this. It's just absolutely adorable. It's too bad we might not get something like this again unless if the next Nintendo console has Switch backwards compatibility.

TonnyTheTonner the switch file system is very similar to the Wii U, except in little endian, so the bytes just need to be reversed and updated, that’s why the switch has so many ports.
I would love to enable annotations to understand the point of this video. It’s too bad that annotations are no longer viewable on TH-cam. It’s almost poetic that the main form of communicating information and intent with this video is a relic of the past just as the Wii’s data on your Wii U is as well.

I remember doing this in 2018, that final part where all you see is the rocket going to the Wii U circle felt symbolic. It felt as if it were saying welcome to a new era of technology. Obviously now we have new stuff that is even better, but this was one of the best things i have ever witnessed. With all the music going on it feels emotional.

Wiimifi is not compatible with Monster Hunter Tri because it uses Capcom's special servers, not Nintendo. I tried using Wiimifi with it and the game crashed.

This feels like the most emotional video game console video ever. This makes me feel sad that I have never done this to my Wii. I never knew I could transfer data, but now, it’s too late since I threw out my Wii multiple years ago since I had a Wii U and the Wii was kinda busted.

So, if you do a system transfer, does that mean the Wii is just basically a shell of a console? Because if so, that's just really sad. ;¬(
You can actually copy all your game saves and other data onto your computer, then do the transfer, the copy the saves on your computer back onto the SD card and back onto the Wii to have your data on both consoles.
You can still download it in the Wii shop channel, just you can’t buy Wii shop points anymore. You just have 1 more year until you can download the software.

yeah that would be cool. it could also transfer the wii data aswell as the wii u data so the switch could be like a super emulator cause you can get micro sd cards with alot of storage and use an adaptor (use the adaptor in the wii u and use only the micro sd in the switch). it would be cool.
