LOL this could be a PLOT TWIST (although I don't want it to be) that Ash became the Pokemon master on day one, but never realized it, and he wasted so many years catching all the Pokemon.

So think about that I got all 150 just under 1 day and that when the trade cable link was a thing and we didn't know about the glitches in the game. But everyone knew about missingno. My cousin had red I had blue and we always traded to each other. Hell we didn't know about the mew glitch until I was 6th grade. Then I just watched someone on agdq and catch all of the original 151 on blue version in 3 hours. So it's possible to be a pokemon master with a day. But you have to do it just right.
