So just to calrify the many custom firmware options are still probably better than the (updated) stock OS, but this updated version here is still a welcomed change!
No custom is yet 100% functional, stock is still the best option if interested in having everything working and also good performances, but custom roms are catching up and will be on top of the game soon
Tysm for explaining/showing detail about the d-pads. That was the last deciding factor of H or no H. I'll stick with my Plus lol *Update* ~$50 shipped with new user TikTok Shop discount, ended up ordering, lol no regrets.

Where im from its $97 after shipping and handling. Amazon of course. Would it be cheaper to get it from anbernic? Or would it round up to the same price? Im from Alabama
I've had mine for a few weeks now and I found many bugs with the newest update. I'm gonna report them to anbernic but they said it's a holiday for them and they won't respond till after in a few days. Moonlight is very buggy A B X Y changes between emulators and throws me off alot, DS emulation has no sleep mode and the link for the 64gb iso doesn't work that's what I said in my first email i sent them. I have 4gb total to work with so my game selection is very slim atm.
Yes but when you flash the sd card put it back in to your unit and power it on and it will update the files. Once it’s booted on your device power it off and put the sd card back in your your pc/Mac and just add your bios and ROMs backup and then you are good to go
Yes Retro Game Corps' review showed off that feature, you should check it out that interests you. I would rarely use it personally so I don't demonstrate in my videos of handhelds 😅
i bought the white color ... price $89.99 with tax about $100? i have tons of retro games .. more than 5,000.. can i hook this up to my monitor & play?
I am not a fan of horizontal devices; they feel cumbersome in my hands. The old classic Game Boy form factor felt much better for prolonged sessions because of its larger size.
You can buy an Anbernic that comes with games. May not be the games you want but a lot of them are very popular and fun games. I think the one that comes with 64 GB card has over 5,000 games!
I have the 35xxH and the still have the 351P. The 351 line is way better built especially the buttons/dpad. I miss inputs when it comes to haduken and shoryuken on the 35xx H. I never miss with the 351P.
Mine doesn't have any Mario games on it? I noticed yours did. Is that on the new firmware update or did you install roms from somewhere? Anybody help me out, I'm a newb to this stuff.
I got this thinking it would be more comfortable than the RG35XX Plus, but it's not really. You see, human hands and rectangles don't really go together. There is a reason there aren't any consoles from Sony or Nintendo that look like this. The triggers need to be more aligned with the natural shape of your fingers. Going from this to a PS Vita, it's obvious. I played a racing game for only a few minutes on the RG35XXH and had to put it down because my hand was in actual pain. I have yet to find a dedicated emulator handheld that I can comfortably enjoy for long periods of time. I don't think there even is one. These companies sell devices, not games. They don't care if it isn't ergonomic as long as it looks cool. Once you buy it, that's it. Sony and Nintendo however sell games with the physical console as only a means to an end, sometimes even selling at a loss. They have a vested financial interest in making sure their consumers can enjoy their games comfortably. They test for this stuff. They make tons of prototypes and spend tons of money on testing and focus groups to get something that not only looks good, but FEELS good. So why then, is everyone either cloning the most outdated and uncomfortable design ever (the ORIGINAL GameBoy) or making up this crap? There are already proven designs they could clone that feel great and function just fine. Make a GBA clone with two extra face buttons. Make an actually good PSP clone, with two PSP style analog pads. Hell, if you really MUST have a vertical handheld then clone the GameBoy Color design! It's far more ergonomic than the original GameBoy, because it has curves just like the human hand. It's just insane to me that even now there still aren't any good options recently beyond hacking a real console that's years old.
I personally don't find it to be thaaat uncomfortable (but no doubt for longer gaming sessions something from Nintendo for example would be better). But you definitely have a lot of good insights here, hopefully within a few years if these handhelds keep growing in popularity they will get to a place where they can perfect the design for comfortability.

We are so close with this handheld. A few more updates to the custom firmware and it will be the king of budget handhelds at least for a little while.
I’m fixing to get mine, has anything changed or should I just keep the original OS?
Any luck on the battery drain? I've got mine on shut down and it still goes down from 100 to 80 real quick. Just got this 2 days ago
Hi, dude! I really appreciate. By the way, what things did you mean about +20-30 dollars offers best models than rg35xx h?
Retroid Pocket 2S
please make a video on how to install this update -- I need help!

Anything more powerful in this price range other than Retroid Pocket 2s?
Rgb30
rgb30 is nowhere near the performance on 2s. It can't even play N64 smoothly.@@Tetrastructural
I heard you can stream on this thing
Is there an option to enable cheat codes on this? Been asking everywhere and haven't gotten an answer

How to increase the font size in the console?

@@alexythimia23 Thank you.
I'm still debating, I already have the 35xx.
Nothing new, just the form factor and a slightly faster chip. If you want to upgrade look at their more expensive models.
anyone ever use "tiny best set go" collection for your stockui?
Wait those anbernic devices have a mini hdmi?! If I have the option to play games on my monitor then I’m sold.
Yes Retro Game Corps' review showed off that feature, you should check it out that interests you. I would rarely use it personally so I don't demonstrate in my videos of handhelds 😅
Yes you can literally dock it and use controllers as well not limited to playing only by yourself. You can do the same with the original RG35XX.

yes
If you monitor has HDMI IN then yes.

Hope they add offline charging for BatoceraOS

No it's the same hardware aside from it having stereo speakers.
Would appreciate it if you can put the name of the games in corner
