The Antigens (Agglutinogens) of ABO group appear in early fetal life and remain unchanged untill death. The Antibodies of ABO blood group (Agglutinins) appear 2 to 8 months after birth, reach maximum titer at 8 to 10 years of age and then gradually decline throughout the remaining years of life.
