I miss Quilin Yangshou. There I made 2 Chinese friends who were so welcoming and showed me many local places and hidden gems in Yangzhou. They even treat me to a nice YAM vege and Beer fish dish. To this date, we still keep in touch WeChat. Chinese are so heartwarming ✌✌✌
That's so awesome! It's incredible how travel can create such lasting friendships. Yangshuo really does have a magical feel, especially with the stunning views and warm-hearted locals. Glad you’re still in touch with them!
We are in the UK. I am English and my partner is Chinese. We have just discovered your channel and videos. We both watch with interest. She reads the sub-titles and I listen to you. When you speak to the Chinese I look at the sub-titles. Thank you.
I bought a small motorcycle 20 years ago in Zhuhai and spent a week driving around the countryside, with a helmet no one knew I was gwalo until I took it off. Exploring rural China (20 years ago Zhuhai was mainly rural :), is truly wonderful. Eating the local foods and interacting with local farmers and fishermen really helps you understand the basic decency of humanity. Props to you for driving a scooter there, you must stay alert at all times. Thanks for your videos and I look forward to watching many more, though they always make me want to go back tomorrow.

Geraldmiller5260, I read you taught English in China, but do you have recommendations for schools for adult senior , who want to improve Mandarin? are there schools in small cities with Mandarin courses for foreigners? I've seen only in the very cities ... Hezhou seems more little. Sorry to bother you with questions beside the subject... Thank you🙂
I was fortunate enough to travel to Yang Shuo over 15 years ago, it's still one of the most beautiful place I have ever been to and one of my fondest memories.
I came in 2004, Yangshuo had more foreign food compared to most of China small towns then. My second trip here was 2016. Thanks for the video, nice to see it's so developed now. Greetings from Malaysia.❤
Thank you again Yan for going out and show everyone what you get to see. I can see you are fearless but please stay safe on your scooter while these cars are passing by. I lloved the location of the opera house. Must be wonderful to watch a perfornance in such authentic surroundings! Once again thank you from the Netherlands!
Gosh, everywhere you visit is so pretty. It makes me want to go to China so much. (Also, love the chaos of the tour driver not really explaining where he was going.)

Hi Yan, I'm very glad I found your channel, I love it! ( Been to China and studied Chinese, and miss China a lot) ❤🍲🇨🇳 manman zou 😊 Love from Holland ❤🌷🇳🇱
Thank you so much! I loved it❤. If I ever go to China I will go to Yangzhou. The ariaI views were beautiful. I will definitely subscribe to your channel.
The chinese people of rural spaces or little towns is so welcoming, that is 50% of a place. A beatifull landscape without that is not the same. Thanks for another incredible video
What a beautiful country and kind and generous people...Greetings from London, oh by way I just subscribed your channel and will always pleasure to watch your videos..
'Merry Xmas' Yan.. another nice video! This brings us back to 2018 where my family & I were there - we love Yangshuo, we love those mountain n rivers. It's a beautiful experience riding those bamboo draft down the river and we even took a helicopter bird eye view as well, flying over those awesome mountain. Can't wait to go back again. Thank you very much.
Fantastic episode, Yan! I want to compliment you on your soundtracks. You have an intuitive knack for choosing the appropriate music to underpin your excellent video work 👍
Yes. It's a beautiful place. It's worth going there. I'm had been there 4 years ago. Peaceful and has a livelihood of slower pace😊 I'm a Malaysian Chinese, 4th generation with some relatives, and they're staying in Teowcheow province! Next month I'll visit them😂
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. You are the pro of the pros now. Congratulations! I did noticed that despite the cold temperatures, trees still bear their leaves.
What a magnificent view! beautifully captured with authentic every day life, food-culture and very interesting landscapes. It makes one dying to visit Yangshou. This video offers great insights of Yangshou and certainly not to be missed for discerning travellers!
Love that you are scooter riding! What a perfect first place to ride. Beautiful scenery and people here. I visited a similar place in 2007. A much smaller village, popular with international tour group from UK. Up early in morning I saw the towers in mist and watched a hot air balloon lift off with tourists aboard. So glad to have visited China and much appreciate your productions.
You are absolutely fearless asking people to take you to unknown places alone. I love your videos so much, Yan! But please be safe! Perhaps my own experiences have tainted my expectations for how people treat one another, because you've showed me that people are generally kind to you on your travels (unless you cut the mean/scary parts out 😅). Safe travels! Edit: also your nails look so nice!! ❤️
In many places it is quite safe to travel alone as a woman! Of course you have to be aware of your surroundings, be alert and smart about listening to your instincts, but it is okay. I hope you have the opportunity to try it one day, it’s such a pleasure to travel solo and go where the adventure takes you without worrying if your companions are bored or not interested in what you want to see
I went to Guanxi province in July this year - we stayed in xingping ancient town and it was so lovely!!! We went scootering around the countryside and even went white water rafting.
Awesome new video stay warm and enjoy. You made my day with new video I love China its been my favorite country to study for many years. You are living my dream.
Amazing, the mountain's are spectacular and beautiful, what an awesome start to your motorbike tour! Thanks for showing us around the Guangxi Province and Yangshuo, the food at the market looked delicious!
I swear these travelogues are golden. As a Canadian, from very close to the US border, I grew up during the Cold War, and my life was inundated with American media and the mindset that Russia and Russians were enemies and they were bad people. But Ice hockey is our #1 love in Canada. And in 1972, the CCCP brought their best hockey team here to play an 8 game series against the best Canadian hockey players. And they were so good-they came one goal away from winning the series-which brought our whole nation to the edge of existence. The whole cultural exchange between Canada and Russia helped to affirm our identity as Canadians. Restored our national pride and unity. And although every Canadian hated the Russian team throughout the series, that hate turned into respect and perhaps even some reverence and camaraderie by the time the event finished. Today Canadians very much see Russians as kindred spirits, rather than the eternal enemy that the US narrative seeks to create. And the foundation of that relationship is the cultural exchange that continues to take place even today. I’m getting the same feeling from these vlogs. Sharing Chinese culture as it is, rather than -again-how the US would like to portray it. I cannot speak about the Chinese government, but seeing the everyday culture goes a long way towards building respect and admiration. You’re going important work, and it’s fantastic. Thank you!
Another great video! Great to see you on your motorbike, I haven’t ridden in a long time but it was my favorite way to explore new areas. Also your drone footage is beautiful as usual!
Hi Yan. Really enjoy watching your video. Thank you for your great effort. Do take care especially when biking with your scooter. Good luck and good health.

Yeah, these last weeks have been really cold here. I'm so happy to see you enjoying Yangshuo and sharing it with the world, I love your channel, your videos are beautiful and you give off great positive vibes🥰 I was in Xiping a couple of weeks ago... it's fun to experience this again through your eyes and discover new spots with you, thank you!
Thank you so much for making these videos! It feels like a small holiday for me that I can't afford. China has beautiful nature, but as a vegetarian, I am also impressed by all the yummy tofu food! :)
@12:17 it would be neat to have a photo taken & the photo blown up quite big. The mountains are incredible. One of the reasons I follow you, your drone work is awesome.
Your video quality is enhanced by the slow, high, overhead shooting with the drone. I love the movement of the boats on the rivers and lakes with the white engine screw wash trailing behind, giving the scenes a sense of movement. I particularly like the shots as the drone was gaining height, of the smaller boats with just a fisherman or boat person standing at the helm gently moving across the water or down river. Chinese food must be very healthy, as people seem to eat a lot but don't seem to be particularly large (fat shhh! 🙂).
They're probably relatively thin and fit because they do a great deal of walking and physical labor. You can get fat from eating pretty much anything if you aren't physically active.
Wow......well equipped now with all the wonderful gears in place......Yes, a scooter will take you anywhere you like with ease without to depend on others ........Beautiful landscape awaits for you to explore and of course you will share with us of your wonder findings...... Overall the video recording was very good and the sound system was perfect too without any disturbances...... Have fun and be careful on the road .......!

Yangshuo is one of my favorite places in China. took a trip there and rode around on scooters 20 years ago. what with our kids, we haven't gone back but now they are in college we will have more time. looks like the city has grown a lot. also too bad it is this cold. i remember going in winter and it was 25 celsius or so
As always, love these videos! This brings back memories from our 2017 trip where we took the boat from Guilin to Yangshuo, and took a bus back. Only visited to one part of town, and had no idea that there were so much we did not see. Looks like we need to go back again.

will she do one to show the ugly side of china??? Her vlog is pretty amazing but need to balance it with some negative aspect living in CHINA.
You've got to bribe them. No, really...you have to slip taxi and bus drivers some extra cash to get to your destination safely.
