I think its pretty cool and unique we get to have a vlogger who speaks perfect Chinese, knows the Culture better than any outsider, and still continues to speak in English for her audience to understand. She deserves more than 250k followers imo! Im glad i ran into her, i like the videography and her interaction with the locals. Keep the videos coming!
She is also a good presenter not that other Chinese not tried to entertain English speaking people but she is better at it, as a Turk she is the best for me to get to known China in terms of culture places prices etc.
The more I watch your vídeos the more I get in love with China and his resilient people. I’m a brazilian woman and perceive that our people are not prepare to survive at hard times as the chineses. Everywhere is a market and people are selling farming product or food. Chinese people are hard workers!
China's gastronomic richness is fantastic!!! When I heard the rooster crow I remembered text 80 of the Dao De Jing: " A small country has fewer people. Although there are machines that can work ten to a hundred times faster than man, they are not necessary. People take death seriously and don't travel far. Although they have boats and carriages, no one uses them. Although they have armor and weapons, no one displays them. Men go back to tying ropes instead of writing. Your food is simple and good, your clothes are good but simple, their safe houses; They are happy in their ways. Although they live in full view of their neighbors, And the crowing of roosters and the barking of dogs are heard across the path, However, they leave each other alone as they grow old and die in peace."
Now I think I understand why your videos are so good: You do not show us a street market - you take us right there into the middle of the market. I felt almost I am having a breakfast myself. And what a feast that was! But, but - you have got one big problem: you have one stomach only! Absolutely great video! Thank you so much.
The opportunity to have you and your bilingual skills interacting with the Chinese community is a huge privilege to share! Very warm and inviting people. Always eagerly inquiring about a stranger next to them.
My wife and I have been avidly following your videos for the past week, and we're absolutely captivated by the rich content you share. It's particularly meaningful for me as my father, a dedicated geography teacher, instilled in me a deep fascination for exploring diverse cultures and understanding the world. Your masterful use of both camera and drone technology truly breathes life into rural China, allowing us to vividly experience its beauty and intricacies. Your work has not only entertained us but also reignited that sense of wonder and appreciation for the world that my father ignited in me. Thank you for creating such inspiring content!
Liuzhou is the second largest city in Guangxi, and it is actually the city with the highest share of electric vehicles in China. In fact, you can specialize in a phase of Liuzhou's electric vehicles. Go to the streets and parking lots to see them. It is difficult to see them in other domestic cities. There are so many kinds of small electric vehicles for transportation.
I traveled to China for the first time because of you. I have spent my new year in Lijiang & kunming. Really enjoyed my trip & would love to come back ❤❤❤❤
Hello Yan. I am so enjoying journeying through China with you ... the parts of China the public never see. I am from UK and would have just loved to travel around your beautiful country when younger ... but not allowed in those days. You do a fantastic job: very courageous, and brilliant editing with drone shots and music the fits perfectly. Thank you so much

Liu Zhou has about the same population as my hometown of Brisbane, Australia. It is hard for many people to comprehend just how many people live in China and how big the country is. In fact every person in Australia could fit into Shanghai! 😮 But you are doing a wonderful job of somehow ‘shrinking’ China to a more digestible size by focusing on local people, cuisine and culture. I would love to travel through China with a guide to taste all the amazing food!
Yan, as always you exceeded your previous posts. What aJoy!!! You and hubby should consider motorbike tours, clearly you are courageous and very skilled! What an adventure. A truly unique and exceptional travel video, this perspective is particularly captivating for international viewers. During my university years, I explored over a hundred towns, cities, and villages in remote areas of Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Hainan, and Guangxi, spanning several years. While staying at a guesthouse in Xishuangbanna, I had the pleasure of meeting a friendly and tall young Belgian couple on their honeymoon. They warmly invited me to join them in their Yunnan tour, and the three of us, along with a briefly joined British student from University of Reading, traveled together through Yunnan. We discussed many aspects of Chinese folk tourism that are of great interest to Western travelers. Your vlogs evoke fond memories of those wonderful times. Keep up the good work, showcasing more of our country's beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
one day I would love to come to China just to experience the vast variety of foods. It simply looks breathtaking. In the west, knowledge about wild foods has been erased by commercial foods, tragically. Thank you for introducing us to this culturally important side.
Yan, u r the best vlogger. Progressing from a small scooter to a bigger bike, you take all in your stride. One cool gal. A bright ray of sunshine. Take your time n let us merge with your exuberance of food n travel around little China seen through Yan's eyes. ❤
I always look forward to you wonderful videos; I am especially eager to see Hainan Island. I have read several novels, in English, set during the Tang Dynasty, where Hainan was presented as a jungle like place, where people who displeased emperors were exiled. I am curious to see the modern day, real life Hainan. Also, straying from the topic of your videos: I live in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), and I often go to a "Dunkin' Doughnuts" (doughnuts, coffee, ice cream) nearby; while I was there, yesterday, two gentlemen approached me in order to give me money. While I look shabby and can easily be mistaken for someone homeless, I do have an apt., with internet (obviously🙂. We chatted briefly and they told me they were from somewhere near the Great Wall, but I did not recognize the name of the city. Anyway, what made this whole incident so sweet was not that they wanted to give me money, but that they showed kindness towards a stranger. That did me more good than money - to know there is kindness, all over the world. Take care and happy journey!
Fun!! I really enjoy all the food and appreciate you describing and tasting things I have never seen before. I love sticky rice balls, dipped in spicy sauce. What a great adventure!
I’m so pleased to hear that you’re planning to travel to Hainan Island, my ancestral homeland. I’ve never visited the place and am waiting for you to show me. My grandparents came from there.
Beautiful Just Yan, your rapport with people is always on the Up! An easy day, eating well. So much food though, does it all get consumed at the end of the day? What happens to leftovers? Compost? Or? Remarkable interactions, always in ascending humor. You are a Blessing Yan, full throttle at that, biker!............
Yes Yan - The more you ride, the more experienced you will be. Please go slow and steady, safety always comes first. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful journey with us. 謝謝妳,感恩❤
With all our health and safety rules in Uk we'd never get away with all those street food stalls. And... the supermarkets would probably have something to say about it, too. Asian and south east Asian countries cater for the people's pockets (moneywise), so much more sensible. Another lovely video and full of learning and friendly people.
I was really looking forward this video dedicated to Liuzhou! I'm a french passeport holder and while traveling alone to China I made my way through Guangxi province as well, and finally ended up in Liuzhou. Already a month ago. Great memories with locals, I really enjoyed my time there. The city itself has it own specificities, especially about food, don't hesitate to try Luosifen (螺蛳粉) meal. Thank you Yan! Always glad to see your updates. Let's meet another time, somewhere, hahaha
Beautiful job and thank you for singing! Yes: we definitely want you to take your time and we want you to be home or Spring Festival! Be safe and continue on your wonderful. adventure. Such a beautiful country!
Love your unseen china video, you show how real Chinese people live and work, the way you interact with the local people, your video always interesting to see and learn from, eyes opening❤👍
Thank you for the insightful sharing of your trip to Liuzhou city. Yes, you are a pragmatic and purposeful traveller. The travel adventure is interesting and yet enigmatic. It is mixed of old and modern landscape. I especially like the food street that captured the local flavour and speciality. Indeed, it is a breathtaking experience for foreigners! Where will we go next?
Great content as always! Love your singing while riding. People who don’t ride a motorbike won’t realize how tiring it can be compared to riding in a car. Your warm and genuine demeanor make your videos a pleasure to watch! Much love from the US.
These videos are amazing. Your video editing, choice of sound tracks, and what you choose to shoot is really good. It's a pleasure to see another side of China, the side anyone could relate to. But please drive carefully! Long trip ahead!
❤ Lovely episode! 👍Got to thank you for wanting to take a couple days off and being able to let us explore the local culture with you. Like your interactions with the locals, they are hard working and kind people🫡❤. Ps. You have a beautiful voice 🎶👏😃
No hurry take your time Yan! It seems to me you're enjoying life n guess what!.. you sing very well n you got a beautiful voice as well. Yummy those food market makes me crazy. I wish I was there! Thanks for another nice episode . Guangxi my roots.
Wow, so equipped, so organized. This is awesome what you are doing. A young woman with a lot of courage, curiosity and ambitious doing something amazing.
you are wise in taking the slow boat to china - there is no need to rush, but there is a need to take time...... to make time to enjoy your travels. It is often the spontaneous trips that are the most rewarding - Happy Trails
Yan, your video sharing is really an eye opener & it's so awesome. If ever i don't have a chance to visit all the unseen China but at least I have seen it through your videos. Xie xie Yan.
Liuzhou food is almost Cantonese cuisine. Dimsum/ steamed taro cake/ delicious yet nutritious dessert/ jizai bing.. all these can be found in Guandong province & HK & some parts of S.E.A
So much choice!! I love trying new food to experience new tastes. All part of the adventure. You are right in saying that the more practice you get riding your bike, the better you will become. I had a similar experience when I got my first motorised transport. Took a while to get used to the seat. Before long, I went everywhere. It being very economical. Very happy you have your own transport. You can go direct to where you want to go instead of jumping on different trains or buses. Not surprisingly, every vendor said it was very yummy!! 😃 Thank you for another wonderful video!!
Love this episode, but I'll probably love the next one even more, with the water snail noodles (Luosifen noodles). I have 2 packets here at home, but haven't tried them yet. Of course, they are not completely fresh, but I've heard that they are pretty good ones. I'm still trying to work out what fresh ingredients to add. They do have a certain reputation, so it'll be interesting to find out what you think of them.
Glad you will take your time, enjoy your travels & enjoy the spring holiday with your family when that time comes. What's great about your vlogs is your calm yet interested sightseeing, as well as your skillful editing & camera work. Steady as we merrily go!
Hi Yan, thank you for sharing such videos. Since u r on bike now, due to vibration from bike, bubble or span wrap your Sony camera, lenses etc to avoid damages and remember to check the motorbike screw, mounting, especially the top box screws every few thousand km. (vibration will loosen these mountings/screws etc)
The foods looks so yummy (even tho many I won't able to eat because religious reason), and the portions are always so big! The city markets looks really lively. Take good rest, miss Yan, before your next ride.
Little Yan, food is what makes everyone happy 😊 China has perfected a system of providing every single of its people easy access to fresh food, by clever city planning. And of course tradition does play an important role. Keep safe!
I'm glad people in WI enjoy this video. Ms Laura, where do you live in WI, I'm from Chippewa Falls. Nice to hear from you enjoying the video as do I. I used to live in Qingdao, Shandong for two years.
I really enjoy watching the food around the market. Thanks for showing us around. Hope to see more from market. Thanks Yan I will try to make a trip there.
You have a very pretty singing voice, Yan! And I love the way the names of places sound when you say them. • I was wondering how you were liking your scooter, and then you explained in detail.😊 •The huge variety and abundance of food at the buffet and the market was amazing!
Guangxi food looks amazing. It reminds me so much of Guangdong (Cantonese) food. Looking forward to more of your travels. You're the best at what you do, Yan! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks Yan.. for your street food vlog ! So glad you are riding a scooter to get around ! I love the friendliness of the people you meet ! Stay Safe and UPright and love from Australia 🏍🦘🇦🇺🌹
The food looks extra good the food stalls a source of entertainment, you are handling your bike okay, high speed not required. You are giving us a wide range places see and your coverage is excellent.
Have you ever been to Meizhou City? My father and mother in law came from there (Chiu) and she moved to Thailand first and he moved there during the cultural revolution and had to walk about 300m in marshes and fields to get to Hong Kong in about 1944-45 and then took a boat to Thailand. They are Hakka - He passed away long ago but not until I was able to hear his stories of his journey and life in China. He always referred to China as Red China. Before he passed he was able to visit a brother in Meizhou and another in Taiwan. Many Hakka left during this time and settled in Thailand and Singapore and Taiwan and many other places. I love your videos and appreciate you

I heard of "stinky" tofu but "hairy" tofu? Wow, sounds interesting!! I must try that! Anyway another very fascinating video especially Yan interaction with the locals which is always very interesting! Waiting eagerly for the next video! Ride safe!
Next episode is "stinky noodles", Luosifen noodles, the water snail noodles. I bought 2 packs here in an Oriental store, but haven't tried them myself yet, as I want to learn more about them and which fresh vegetables to add. It is rather intriguing, though.
Those old mothers are always so kind and friendly, and I think of my own mother. In fields without industrialization, they are always strong and optimistic. They love life and are happy to communicate with everyone.
I really enjoy your videos. You are easily my favourite travel clogger. You have such a nice cheerful personality and the way you present it is always honest and sincere. I am going to make some trips following what I see on your videos. Keep up the good work!

Ride safe!
It's kind of formented tofu, same as stinky tofu but formented in different way by different fungus, with a unique flavour
