I really appreciate that no narration was necessary...just showed me what I needed to do. I like the homemade gizmos to get the job done... cheap, creative, effective. Great editing, nice and clear camera angles and minimal background. Actually I am sitting here on a snowy winter day so it was really nice to hear the lawn mower in the background. Well done!!!
You don’t need to take the tyres off in order to change the PSF. The piece of wood you used for the jack stands and the trolley jack is very clever if you don’t have the pinch welds.
Pro tip use needle nose pliers and push the hose off of fittings. Pulling it makes it Chinese finger trap on there, it's designed to hold on when pulled. So push. Saves a ton of hassle
You don't have to remove the wheels. You could lift it slightly with jacks. Or park on cardboard to make the steering back and forth easier. Saves a lot of time. You can use a turkey baster, which works must faster. Or a hose with a pump - like that use for aquariums.
Nice! Will go out and do this right now on my civic, I hesitated to do this for the last 10 years. I thought the engine is supposed to be running to circulate the fluid. At least I think that's what the repair manual said when I changed steering rack and pinon on my old Chevy many years ago. That time under high pressure my improvised tubes popped out and the fluid sprayed all over me and the garage. Now I wonder if I misread the manual.
I saw another video that says you should crank the engine and turn it off a few times and I didn’t like the sound of that because of your reasons and unnecessary wear on the starter and engine with less oil on startup, this is definitely seems to be the least violent method. I don’t like the idea of having an engine running with fluid lines open lol
@ 3:41, could you tell me where did you get a tube to substitute the one that was already there? and why the twig? Thank you! Learning how to do this on my own thank you for the video!
this was a great video didnt even need to say a word to explain its either do this for how much was the price for the stuff? or have oil changers do it for 75 bucks also would you recommend to do this if your fluid is dirty like that
It’s safe to assume the fluid is not much cheaper or expensive than tranny or brake fluid. I would like to know the dimension of the tube to fit into the one that goes into the fluid container.
Suck out as much old fluid from the reservoir. Disconnect the return tube and route it to an empty bottle. Fill reservoir with new fluid. Flush old fluid into bottle by turning wheels. Keep adding new fluid as needed until new fluid comes out into the bottle. I’m not sure why wheels were removed.
If you want to save time and not remove the front tires, use the reinforced front jack point with a single rolling hydraulic jack. The car must be on level ground with both rear wheels chocked. BTW this video is still good at pointing out the basics.
I did the practical experiment and you're right. I don't work for Honda either, just the opposite, I want to see them bankrupted by their cars lasting too long.

I'm new to cars and no words were said but I understood everything loud and clear

if you only have one wheel on the ground it will be easier to steer and bleed the PSF-system.
Done it today on my EK9 :) tooks about an hour. Capacity is around 1L. Thanks for video, it was helpful.
Why did remove tire?

Very helpful video, thanks.
One question, do you have to raise the car/remove the tire if you’re using the extension tubing?
Mannol power steering fluid is good for Honda car?
Great video brother. Hey what kind of gloves are those? They look great. Perfect thickness and coverage for automotive work. Thanks.
A picture is worth a thousand words
what size hose? where can i buy hose?
@ 3:41, could you tell me where did you get a tube to substitute the one that was already there? and why the twig? Thank you! Learning how to do this on my own thank you for the video!
You have to put a plug of some sort on the reservoir so you can keep refilling it. Otherwise it will spill out.
Nicely explained.
Thanks!
thank you very much indeed. great job.
hydraulic brake must make the changes I've been watching videos from Turkey very successful
Hey, how much fluid did you use all up?
Bad ass!!! 👍
Great video, how many litres total did you need to flush out and refill bro?
Hey I have a question, why do you have to take the tired off to do this?
Is it to be able to turn more??
Idk what tired is but if you mean tires then no it does however make it easier to Turn the steering wheel
Thank you very much
Why remove tires ?
Thank you for this video!

Is there any way you could elaborate I'm trying real hard to understand I know nothing about cars

do you have to jack the car up?
What size tubing did you use?
This oil Is good for honda civic ej9 1.4 is 90 hp ?
Not only PSFS honda?
Thanks!!
What brand of fluid did you use?
Anybody else get asmr from this vid lol
😄
What's the reason you remove the wheels from the car?
That's what I was thinking
Why does he take the wheels off and lower it?
did you spend 2 liters?
the etire system holds 1 liter at dissasembly. 1 liter should be enough
Does it matter what psf?
For Hondas, try to get dealer fluid for power steering. Same for ATF.
Nice video
Why take front tires off
easier to stear with only 1 wheel to the ground.
If you want to save time and not remove the front tires, use the reinforced front jack point with a single rolling hydraulic jack. The car must be on level ground with both rear wheels chocked. BTW this video is still good at pointing out the basics.
Uhm what if i dont have that tank
only use genuine fluid guys if you don't want to change the whole rack
Honda civic fuild?

Yep, Honda PS fluid only.
