@@subbaraotanguturu9271 Vegetarianism is not connected with spirituality. Today, even within India, female cows are forcefully raped ( inseminated with steel rods ) to produce calves. The female baby calf is given artificial growth formula while the mother is milked. If it was a male calf, it is beheaded and the beef is exported to Islamic and other countries. All this inside India... Veganism is true evolutionary step of Sanatana Dharma. Being a vegetarian, you still accumulate all the karma from the animal whose milk you drink and whose cheese, butter, ghee, etc. you consume.

The way she explained was just amazing. The importance of the masculine and feminine and that they should co-exist. This is exactly what our Sanatan Dharm has been teaching for centuries. But sadly, nowadays, due to more western influence, pseudo feminism and woke culture, women are trying to be like men, and these same women teach men that masculinity is toxic. For a harmonious society, men should embrace their masculinity and women should embrace their femininity, and understand that either of them are not the same, but EQUAL, and treat each other with respect

@@ko-ZHI12345 I'm not sure if we're both living in the same country. I have seen numerous reports of gays being targeted, despite the decriminalisation of it by the Supreme Court. Indian men are only now learning to treat women as equals and that too is not prevalent everywhere. It may seem that way to you because it's only now women are able to voice out against the atrocities they're facing and have been facing for centuries. Yes, while our Indian culture actually is very progressive (if one takes the trouble to understand our scriptures), the meaning is warped and convoluted to fit the convenience of men. I will not say all Indian men are bad or that the whole society is cruel, but we really can't go pointing fingers at others until we clean up our act. Nothing is achieved by saying, Oh, that's only in that country, not India.' As a collective, we humans should all work and learn from each other. That's the only way forward. By the way, the saying that men will be men is used here too and it's not from the west.

I respect both the views. Having said that, I have never heard of this thing before the balaji serials and celeb display on social media. I belong to a hindu Brahmin family and in our region this is not even a thing.
I searched on the net and found out this is not something to do with religion in its origin.
Rather it is very local in northern part of India and probably started to ensure the safety of soldiers (who were away fighting for the local king) by their wives.
This is not pan Indian like many other regional cultural thing. So it is not ingrained in the religion like Diwali or Dussera. It is regional practice not national. Entire India people do not observe fast and may not even know about it.
Now only some modern urban men started keeping fast with their respective wives as they felt most of the rituals are only for husbands to be observed by the wives. Not the other way round. They want to do it for the wife and her wellbeing too. Which is not according to the tradition rather from good intention and sense of respect towards the spouse. A good change in society. But fasting does not ensure love respect or longevity. Not doing karwa chauth is not an offence. It is very common in India itself.
Now coming to the individual differences between these 2 ladies. Indian ladies with proper education and understanding of the society know the ground reality and actual situation of women in the society. How most of our cultural things in major part of the country is in favour of men. The fast and rituals must followed by women. Which had reason as women stayed at home and supposed to do such rituals while men are at work.
It reflects the social structure and gender stereotypes and inequality. Which no one in their right frame of mind would deny that India is highly patriarchal and men are masters in general.
For Karolinaji she comes from a rather gender equal society compared to India.
Different culture, monotheistic, urban and more individualistic.
She is definitely attracted to Indian culture more than many.
Doing something colorful and for the sake of love to your partner is much appealing to her as it is very different, fanciful. I have followed her channel since the beginning. It is very clear that her understanding of India, its culture tradition and in particular the Hindu religion is totally through the eyes of her husband and naturally influenced by him.
Which is obvious and nothing wrong in it.
But that is not the only version of our culture, religion and society. There are multiple thoughts believes and explanations. One can be equally Hindu without adhering to some ultra religious nationalistic view.
Or be totally atheist in his or her own country. That is India. That is democracy and that is independence. That is according to the constitution, period.

    • @varsharane5768
      @varsharane5768 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I love your comment! Forcing down traditions of one region onto people of another region is literally the opposite of what a Hindu person should do. I am a Maharashtrian and just in Maharashtra the way one region celebrates Ganesh chaturthi and the associated traditions and customs are sooooo different from another region. It would make no sense if the mainlanders started harping about how their customs are correct and the konkanis are wrong or vice versa. I don’t think what ratna pathak said was wrong. The only way I and many of my friends knew of karva chauth was through hindi daily soaps. Where I come from, nobody celebrates holi the way north india does…there is no holi in south india at all…the rest of the country doesn’t celebrate onam nor is Ganesh chaturthi a big deal in the north….india has so much diversity not just in terms of language, food and clothes but also religion, customs and traditions…all these are innately tied with the topography of the region! We would be tearing away the beauty of our country if we forced everybody to follow one version of Hinduism! Hinduism is not similar to abrahamic religions and for some reason the most Hindutva of the lot are forgetting that and forcing abrahamic principles in order to preserve their version of the ‘Hindu culture’!

It reeks of patriarchy and kind of denotes the importance given to men more than women. Also this is one of the festivals which alienates women who are widows or unmarried. I would love to follow a positive person and make him my guru. Jo khud adhere me hai jiska naam hi dark hai wo mujhe guru banke kya roshni dikhayega. May God give you tolerance forgiveness and light.

I appreciate this polish lady for understanding our culture... but there is always 2 side of coin, our culture present karwachauth in positive way but there are people I have seen, who use it to control women,
May be ratna pathak shaw is talking abt that.... why to target her ? May be her experiences in life are different than us....
Ppl can make anything bad out of any good thing... even sati pratha was made to protect women, but later ppl used it to kill women. So it depends how you use it..
Even water can kill you if you drink alot in Short time.... so pls don't judge her.
I hate when ppl show half/ part of the entire interview and start accusing others ....

Sati pratha didnt prevail in Hindu culture . it was a rare act by women themselves protecting their esteem against the great great mughals
