    They spoke to The Quint about their love for theatre, why Hindi movies aren’t demanding and why the coming years are a scary time for art and artists.

      Seriously? the biggest tragedy of this country is people thinking twice to watch an Aamir Khan film, a star who has been minting money and lost his originality???
      And Naseer isn't factually right because the biggest hits in Bollywood have been Dangal and PK...

    Naseer Saab and Ratna mam are legends, so no point praising them. Mr Host, you just did an incredible interview. Well Done and i cant praise you enough for conducting the show. A very very small piece of advice will be that your eye contact while asking the questions was a bit lopsided towards Naseer Ji. Just make sure that it is more even or at least switching more between yours two guests. Anyways, Brilliant interview. It just ended far too soon.

    I agree about theatre etiquette people treat theatre like a movie you need popcorn,gf/bf msg,call it's doesn't affect the movie while your are doing but it does affect theatre artist a small mistake can cost that moment the artist is in or switching luckily artist have accepted everything and are so much into portraying character... Subodh bhave once left the act in between and asked the person sitting on front seat to leave. Great interview and really great people you won quint.

    Was waiting for someone to talk on this topic, my friends simply don't believe why actors like Tom Hanks, Tom Hiddleston and even Irrfan Khan peak at their works.
    What I've realised that we don't recognise movies as literature anymore, it's simply became entertainment for us and as a result buisness for others.

    "To review theatre, you need to know a great deal about it..."
    Now, that I've quoted Ratna Ma'am and Naseeruddin Sir, I would like to :
    1. Thank The Quint for talking to these wonderful thespians;
    2. Thank Ratna and Naseeruddin for being patient, generous and genial to a young journalist;
    3. Expect a more informed and insightful host/anchorperson to have a much more intelligent, intellectual and exploratory interview about their continuous journey in theatre.
    Truly, they didn't come across as worried or panic stricken at the state of affairs of life in general, but just as elders who are simply concerned at what the present generation is going through, if only they would take their eyes off their phones and deliberated a bit...
