I know the original IP man is the one who taught Bruce Lee. But Donnie yen isn't a better fighter than Bruce Lee. If you replaced Donnie yen with a prime Bruce Lee Tyson would have been beat down. Even though Bruce Lee knew how to box the boxing ring was Tysons domain. In a street fight as shown in the movie. Bruce Lee in his prime would have ate up Mike Tyson in any sort of street fight

Mike Tyson doing all the martial arts fighting movie tropes in this scene is the best.
It was a great fight scene and I call it a stalemate. The goal was 3 minutes and Frank honors his deal. I love how Ip Man never back down from a mighty force like Frank because he had dealt with boxers before.

I love that there's just SO much detail and thought behind every action in this fight. Like when Ip Man lowers himself to lure Mike into kicking so that he can target the lower body instead of his stronger top. Then when that doesn't work, switching his guard to break his fists - but then Mike realizes this, feints a punch then uppercuts the elbow out of the way to go for the body.
Looks like Mike watched every kung fu flick from the 70s he could find, I love this

Tyson was a fan of Ip Man 1 and 2, having said that he’s seen the movies multiple times. So that’s the main reason why he put so much work into it. Also, Donnie Yen said that the part where he punches the bag was scary for him because he had to dodge Tyson’s fists at the last possible second, so Yen could’ve caught quite the haymaker from Mike

That's why I'm saying that if it was a no rules fight, we've all seen Donnie who's extremely skilled in martial arts brawl. He knows how to take hits. He would eventually have taken Mike down
