I and a few other boxing fans have a theory here in South Africa, that the tyson "rape" charge was a bull shit story and it was put in place in order to get Mike Tyson out of the boxing scene for a while so the other heavyweights could get a bit more spotlight time, and the managers and promoters of the other heavyweight boxer could make some cause all the attention and money was going to tyson, but to be honest, Before tyson went to prison right, he was unstoppable, lewis, holyfield ect none of them wanted anything to do with tyson, tyson went down hill booze drugs ect messed even more so with tysons head.

I was in the 7th grade when I went with my dad to his friend's house to watch this fight on PPV. Tyson was an invincible gawd at that time and this fight was epic and I was stunned. One of those times when you remember exactly where you were when something happened.

I was a grade lower. I remember thinking Tyson was going to dominate holyfield then was upset when he lost. It's intersting when Tyson came into this fight he had one lost and holyfrield had 3 loses but after the fight Tyson had 2 loss. When Lewlis and Tyson fought Lewis had one loss and Tyson had 3. I remember thinking it's just like Tyson vs holyfield. Wonder if Tyson will give Lewis his 2nd loss after the fight. Of course it didn't work that way.

If an NFL team gets to the SuperBowl, and they decide not to practice for the big game, and they get demolished, they can't say after the fact, "Well, we lost because we didn't really practice seriously for it."

@@kephale1 Also, you, obviously, don't understand boxing at all. The referee gives a 10-COUNT. A 10 COUNT is NOT THE SAME as 10 SECONDS. Also, the referee's COUNT is the official count. So all Buster is obligated to do is to follow the referee's COUNT, and get up before the count of 10, which he easily did.
Next, before the referee starts his 10-COUNT, he first had to send Tyson to a neutral corner. Once Tyson is in his neutral corner, only then does he begin his count.
Next, Buster was never hurt. Yes, he was knocked down, but he was never hurt. As soon as he hit the canvas, he slammed his fists on the canvas because he was angry at himself for getting careless. A hurt fighter CANNOT slam is fists on the canvas if he's hurt badly. Buster explained it himself that he got careless because he was amazed at how easily he was beating up Tyson. He said he was landing punch after punch so easily, so he actually stopped to admire his work. That's when Tyson caught him.
Lastly, Tyson also got a long count when he got knocked down, but, unlike Buster, Tyson was in no condition to continue. He couldn't even locate his mouthpiece.
Just needed to educate you a bit. Have a great day!
