I and a few other boxing fans have a theory here in South Africa, that the tyson "rape" charge was a bull shit story and it was put in place in order to get Mike Tyson out of the boxing scene for a while so the other heavyweights could get a bit more spotlight time, and the managers and promoters of the other heavyweight boxer could make some cause all the attention and money was going to tyson, but to be honest, Before tyson went to prison right, he was unstoppable, lewis, holyfield ect none of them wanted anything to do with tyson, tyson went down hill booze drugs ect messed even more so with tysons head.

Pretty much every single HW of that era rates Evander as the best they ever fought. And most of them fought him after he had been in the wars that others never had. Had the Lewis that met him later on met the Evander that Bowe fought in their first or second fight (which Bowe was unbeatable that night) he would have been out in 3 rounds. Tyson also. And I love me some Mike but he couldn't hold Evander's jock and even admitted it in his 30 for 30.
