The first fight has many waves of emotion and empathy. IP is shielding his wife from not only physical harm, but emotional as he knows she shouldn't be witnessing violence. IP's strikes become more and more intentional as to not hurt the aggressor but eventually he must be put down to rejoin his wife. The feeling of "this guy is forcing my hand" and the steps showcasing how IP is taking this guy further into a lesson and down many notches.
They have a TON of IP Man movies out now but after seeing the Donnie Yen series, I just can't bring myself to get into the other ones I mean.... Who are they gonna get to do BETTER than him??? NOBODY!!! So why waste a pizza & a movie night on BASIC Hollywood-Karate knockoffs?!?! 🤷🏾♂

In one of the ipman series I watched, ipman had a duel with an old man that sells stuff at the aupermarket. He told the man he can only duel with wing chu. However, the old man tricked him and convinced him that it is OK to modify his wingchu. He thought him those tricks. When he came back from school, he dueled with his colleagues and family at home but they didnt approve of his style and warned him not to adulterate their wing chu

The point in styles: the most stupid thing the Capoeira fighter could do - is to attack a Wing Chung master in tight space like elevator. (Wing Chung is perfect for a closest distance self-defense, use elbow and knees, etc.) Meanwhile Capoeira require lot of free space for all those legs tricks, etc.
Ip Mans wife was such a beautiful woman. i really liked her. Donnie Yen is my all time favorite kung fu actor for pure power and grace.
