It's a tiny design flaw.... But common I use the buttons on the steering wheel to adjust the volume....

Look at the golf 6 & 7 used car market price. Probably stay away from this, unless VW Msia wake up and provide guaranted value buy back trade in program.
Look at most Continental cars used market price. Probably stay away from all, unless the Germans, Americans, French, Italians wake up and provide guaranteed value buy back trade in program so you can buy a Japanese or Korean instead LOL! Come on man, wake up.
