Big news coming in Wednesday’s video. I might even get a teaser post on my insta before then 🤔 Make sure that bell icon is on and you’re following my insta @calvinscardiary
1.4 tsi is the main engine across the VW group. 1.4 ACT 150bhp is found in VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda cars and has an active combustion chamber tech where when you're cruising it turns off 2 cylinders. My mrs has it in her Leon 1.4 FR ST. Its a great engine and you can also get it as a hybrid in the Golf e.
@@neokgatla The soundaktor in the current Golf R almost replicates a V8 because of how rumbly and bassy it is... Maybe with a 3-cylinder it will replicate a flat-6 lol
140+ bhp still have some fun with that. I rented a Golf a few years back from thrifty wanted to cry when he said its a 1.0. I actually had some fun in that tbh. Power of a 1.6 with less weight and a turbo. Pulled through all the gears very well and had no issues hitting 100+ mph and that was only 116ps/bhp whatever they called it these days.
Its nice to see you catering for the youngsters. Me being 44 i don’t have trouble insuring cars but when i was younger i couldn’t so went down the route of building XR3i and RS Turbo replicas as the sportier looking cars with an insurable smaller engine didn’t exist. Keep up the good work 👊🏾

Mk 7 golfs in any spec are a sick car for young people, I had a 1.6 TDI GT (boring I know) a couple years ago when I was 19/20 and it was an unbelievable car for the money. Way quicker than you'd expect, comfortable, easy to drive, loads of kit, and proper nice quality interior, almost on par with my current 320d in terms of material quality but for less than half the price
The 1.4TSI 150ps ACT is a good unit. I test drove a Golf GT (similar in spec to "R-lines") with the 1.4TSI 150ps and engine felt quite ordinary....... however test drove a Polo BlueGT which is basically a 6c Polo but with a 1.4TSI 150ps rather than the GTI's 1.8TSI 192ps unit. The BlueGT with the 1.4TSI 150ps is fantastic and completely different in feel from it used in the Golf. Any the unit he has in the Golf is the 1.4TSI 150ps (post October 2014) unit which is 250nm in torque. There was a pre October 2014 1.4TSI 140ps unit same engine and almost identical torque figures. VW tweaked just tweaked the two engines ECU wise and got bit more power out of the later post October 2014 units. Fantastic engine that actually drives and males same power and the old late 90's/early 2000's base VW GTI's 1.8Turbo 150ps units of old without the mpg loss.
TSI engine has both a supercharger and a turbocharger, the supercharger works from 0 to 3,500 rpm giving massive bottom end power then the turbo takes over after 3,500 rpm its the best of both worlds, its power everywhere !!! genius they can be pushed to 178 BHP and £30.00 a year road tax, win win
Got the same engine in a polo bluegt and tuning box, pushing 185bhp and 226lb ft of torque and it’s ideal for me, being 23 it’s fast enough, cheap to insure and cheap to run! Lovely little 1.4 mate 👌🏼
