    So according to my German friend, the Golf in Germany is used as a workhorse/pick-up truck. They use it for work purposes thus the very functional designs in the interior

    The golf maybe impressive, but at this price point, I would to see how it compares to Skoda octavia (not the RS245) and SEAT Leon. Like to see you guys do a 3 cars comparison in one episode.. great job guys, but I do also prefer the old format..

    to be fair, most people i know use apple carplay/android auto through a usb cable while driving, which charges their phones at the same time... thus wireless charging would be unnecessary in such circumstances

    • @nudgedoink55
      @nudgedoink55 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      USB charging is very very slow. Connection to the info system like you said, primarily is to connect the phone to the car. If you really want battery charge you need a dedicated charger.

    DSG's behaviour during low speeds really needs some getting used to vs CVT / AT. Very vague and you don't know when the power is gonna come. For Singapore start-stop traffic, perform auto-creep is a very natural tendency, but DSGs are just not built for that. It's just going to wear out the gearbox prematurely. And you guys steered waaaay clear of adressing the elephant in the room - the reliability issues of not just the DSG, but the brand in general. I've had many previous owner dissuade me from buying anything from or related to VW. Though, sgcarmart being a car selling platform, i can understand why. I don't argue the overall drive is good though. but for me, it's a "go try, but don't buy".

    Too biased from the outright, horsepower and torque figures all inflated due to bias (comeon 450nm from a 1.4?), car talk is all over the place. Are you sure the back seat is that comfortable? The rear leg room looks tight.
    Next time pen down all the relevant portions to cover ( engine, transmission, exterior, interior, features, driver centric feel and focus, boot, storage space, suspension, etc)
    Just be more objective guys, nobody needs a biased review of anything. And cover more aspects about a car, stop harping on the same features. Its like a 20min video reemphasizing on points that could be sufficiently covered in 3 mins.

    • @sgcarmartreviews
      @sgcarmartreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeromy, thank you for your feedback. We are new to this format and we are trying to cover more aspects of the car - give us some time to sort out the flow of the video. Will definitely take your advice on penning down items to cover.
      We toyed with the idea of listing down all the functions and features of the car in a 5-minute video, but we wanted to go beyond downloading a car brochure and reading off it. What we hope to do is to give viewers our opinions on how each car drives.
      Also, there will always be cars we really like after testing - the Golf happens to be one of those cars (despite the lack of ventilated seats). - Jon

    5 mins in and all I get is blind worship of the car. Is this sponsored by VW?
    It makes me feel like these guys have not driven good cars before. And the comment that air con controls are placed in proper positions? Wow. Speechless...
    Bring back the old format. And try to go through what you should say about the car before hand.
