  • In this fascinating talk, Christopher C. Doyle explores secrets and mysteries from the past and presents intriguing facts about the Mahabharata and other ancient Sanskrit texts.
Drawing on his extensive research, for more than 15 years, of mythology, history and science, Christopher reviews recent scientific and archaeological discoveries which have raised tantalising possibilities about the knowledge of the ancients.
Using fact based evidence from these discoveries, Christopher reviews mythological events and global connections based on myth and legend to explore unanswered questions about the past. He then draws the threads of the evidence together to give us a glimpse of the ancient knowledge from which we may learn in order to make our world a better place to live in. Christopher C. Doyle is a bestselling author who transports the
reader into a fascinating world where ancient secrets buried in
legends blend with science and history to create a gripping story.
His first three novels - The Mahabharata Secret (released in 2013),
The Mahabharata Quest: The Alexander Secret (released in 2014)
and The Mahabharata Quest: The Secret of the Druids (released in
2016) - explore the science behind the enduring legends of the
Mahabharata, in an explosive blend of science, mythology, history
and action and are all bestsellers. His debut novel, The
Mahabharata Secret, was also nominated for the Raymond
Crossword Book Award, 2014, as one of the top 12 books in the
popular category. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

It really is sad that this video has so little views honestly one of the biggest problems we face today is that people have the ability to see and hear proof against what they are taught and don't even give them a second thought. If people just opened up their minds a slight amount we wouldnt have the nearly the same amount of hate and ignorance we do now, Amazing presentation in my opinion.

You do know that no one really believed that the Earth was flat. This was a myth concocted in the early 1800's to show how smart we are now versus everyone before us, Additionally the comet did not melt the ice caps. look at the mid Atlantic oceanic ridge and how it traverses the globe and almost all mountain ranges line up with it.

Islam had started 1300 to 1400 years ago and Christianity a few hundred years past that. Question people must ask is what/ who were their ancestors worshipping before that. Forget about Indian culture cause we estimate that Lord Rama was born in Tretayuga and thats way back from where we are even if we have Ram setu. There is enough evidence that Native Americans and Mesopotamian people were worshipping bull, cow and nature. It was all erased after rise of Christianity and Islam.

I feel you may have the right direction to an active theory within your thoughts here. There has been an awakening of sorts around the last 8 years for sure, made possible by the social networking construct of the Internet. Those who have awakened make up a rather small percentage of the world's population, when the task to initiate the change in thought process globally is considered. Also the ability for us (acceptance in awakening of my own mind has been noted) to recruit more alike minds may have been removed from our perception by implemented techniques of mass brainwashing for ease of global vaccination initiative under the guise of a check list prompted global pandemic.

I don't think that is the main point that Christopher Doyle is making here at all! If it were so, we would today be creating fabulous works of stone, spending hours memorizing the knowledge from our wisdom traditions, and exploring through meditation the universes within our own beings. Sadly, I don't think it is 'inevitable' that we repeat the wonderful parts of our human past just because we haven't learned from the past, and maybe it takes a lot of effort to consciously reclaim what we left behind!

This grid covers 1 yojan i.e. 12.3 km. well, *fairly* recently, hahaha!😄 if you mean people in the *western world* of science & anthropology....but, of course, there are those who have always known about this history, including many in India also, *of course.* but i did hear an East Indian sage-teacher say that one of the most challenging things about the stories is that many are REAL but that they were taught to the 'commoners,' the everyday householders, orally, in a way the knowledge & wisdom-holders wanted to
and I just commented via a bit of a rant about how Doyle's argument re: nuclear weapons is hardly an argument at all, as nothing he's saying contradicts what he calls the "fake" version of the story says..both versions are essentially the same..even IF he wasn't at all clear about what he's calling out as fake, beyond the lines highlighted in red..whole the rest of what was on that side of the screen pretty much reduces HIS 'argument' to ashes.🙄

I am truly mystified by the freshness of thoughts that propelled Sir Christopher Doyle to bring all these evidences to light which makes us atleast try n attempt to answer questions like how and why?
Its true that very smart ancient civilizations did exist many thousands of years ago and these evidences clearly shows how science and logical reasoning was the way of life then.
Having said that they have also left many dots for future generations to come somewhere near to how our origins actually was like. Unfortunately ,today even as a modern world we have failed to clear this aptitude test round that they have set for us some 60000 years ago.

Ascending yuga-Sun and Sirius getting closer
We are already in the ascending phase of the yuga cycle. Compelling evidence for this is being provided by the Doppler effect. According to it, stars moving away from the earth appear red in colour and those moving closer appear blue. Most of the stars in the night sky appear red because the expanding universe causes them to move away from the earth. However, currently, Sirius is the brightest blue star in the sky, which means that it is coming closer to the earth, making us part of the ascending yuga cycle. Famous astronomer, Claudius Ptolemy in his famous astronomy textbook Almagest, written almost 2000 years ago, described Sirius as reddish in colour. That means, 2000 years ago, Sirius was moving away from the earth and we were in a descending yuga cycle back then. Multiple Chinese and Arabic texts written around the seventh century describe Sirius as white in hue. It means that Sirius was almost stationary in motion, which happens at the bottom of the cycle. This is in tune with Sri Yukteswara’s proclamation that Kali Yuga hit bottom sometime in the sixth century AD.

I hope this guy will start to look at yugas. It seems like ancient semetic and greek civilizations are what Vedic tradition looks like as it was Vedic knowledge was degrading. Even Plato admitted that Writing was only necessary as human memory began to degrade, and all archeology is built on writing. If writing only occurs as human knowlege degrades, then we have history backwards.

The ANANTAGIRI of TELANGANA, Vikarabad district is believed to be the fallen place of sanjeevani herb during Hanuman carrying to LANKA thru sky during RAMAYANA. Naturally the air on this mountain is pure and cures lung related diseases like Asthma, bronchitis, flu and covid(may be) but the infections over there r less and mild. The topography of the forest and trees is different and huge from surrounding areas.

    According to sadguru
The story of Mahabharat needs to be seen in a certain context. In 3140 BCE, the Kurukshetra War ended, and in 3102 BCE, Krishna left his body. Three to four months after the war, the Kali Yuga began. As of 2012 AD, Krishna's era ended 5,114 years ago. If you subtract 2592, which is the cumulative number of years of the two Kali Yugas that are at the bottom of the ellipse which describes the axial precession, you arrive at 2522 years. That means, we have already completed 2522 years of Dwapara Yuga, and since its total duration is 2592 years, we still have 70 years until its completion. In the year 2082, we will complete Dwapara Yuga and move on to Treta Yuga.
The world will go through another upheaval, not necessarily in terms of war but probably in terms of population explosion and natural calamities before moving on to this new era of wellbeing and upward movement of human consciousness.

I love the sadguru's discourses, absolutely terrific. But then the sequences of events that you are talking about when I went on to watch the remaining Mahabharata episodes; it was all there. This was after I heard the discourse that I came across these episodes. Seems like what Sadguru outlined was verbatim as in the episodes of the TV show. With this partisan speech in this video he just is looking for some impropriety akin to asking why is the sun so hot or why does it rise only during the day.. I laughed when he brought up the Saptha Rishi's.
However, Neelam, you are very accurate and thorough in your knowledge, thats truly appreciated.

Also in Mahabharat BHISHMA had ICCHA MRITYU vardaan. This is very simple to explain. To become invincible you need powerfull weapons to scare and fight your enemies. Those weapons BHISHMA had in his posession and the only one who could kill him was SHIKHANDI, because he let him! Bhishma's own words were that as soon as SHIKHANDI enters the battlefield, he will lay down his weapons and surrender to him. SO he lays down his weapons by choice! It is also possible that he was immune to deseases and virusses because of a perfect immune system. That's why he knew that only weapons could kill him.

This what i believe about mythology we should just learn from it without getting too serious. There are good philosophy and teaching in them. And about gandhi and time travel... When we will be able to travel time we will have a different understanding of things... As of now we actually don't know what happened in history it's just text written by someone according to what he/she believed... Or we try to understand history by the artefacts available to us from past and time to time we come across artefacts which completely changes our understanding of past... If we see our present people talk both +ve and -ve about same thing which ia being recorded. The future generation will read this and draw conclusions through their point of view and understanding. But at the time when we will be traveling time we will be witnessing history as it is being made in most authentic way is possible.

    • @kspirit7571
      @kspirit7571 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

When they were composed, Ramayana and Mahabharata were oral traditions. In fact, Mahabharata itself says that Veda Vyasa first narrated his composition to his all his disciples, and in particular to Suta, who was given the responsibility of protecting and propagating it. The next narration is by Vaishampayana to Janamejaya during the Sarpa sattra. The next major narration is by Ugrashrava Sauti to rishi Shaunaka and others in the Naimisha forest. So they have come down through the centuries in oral form.
In later times they may have been written down in several scripts, whichever was in use at the time. Some common scripts were Brahmi, Kharoshti, Sharada, Grantha, Vatteluththu, Nagari, Devanagari.

For example, one can question if King Puru was defeated by Alexander like other rulers why Alexander occupied his Kingdom and wouldn't proceed into India? Why he stayed in Western part of India upto his death?, etc.. So many truth have been suppressed by our Historians from us in this way. Thus a fresh impartial inquiry into all the facts should be again conducted basing on reason reaching to Truth and impartiality.
