He shows these things because most people consider mahabharata as a myth because science has not been able to explain these things also. And by showing these examples he wants to revive The Indian History.

This man.. Huge respects! I don't know if he's being persecuted by religious trads for doing this but the amount of insight he has for Mahabharat and the amount of time in his life he invested trying to find the facts relating to the historic and prehistoric world wide events to the epic in the name of great global civilization simply blows my mind..

How did those massive hewn stones get so precisely carved, and lifted to such great heights- all over the world? There is SO much mystery to be found on every continent, in every human tradition, and each new archeological discovery further challenges our thinking and understanding of ancient peoples and the times they lived in. Thank you Christopher Doyle for pulling so many pieces together, for filling our minds with wonder, for providing fresh understandings of old stories, and for deepening our appreciation of the mysteries of the past, in order to better know our present!

The answer which has been proposed by many for decades is "dirt" or "soil". You build long ramps of dirt and then take the rocks up the ramps. You might use logs to roll under the stones. Once everything is built and in place, you remove the dirt ramps. It is very slow and labor intensive but it works. No high technology required.

Okay. So 2 points comes out of this presentation:
    1. There was a global civilisation that's now extinct.
    2. If point 1 is true then Mahabharata, an epic that predates Ramayana, must be true as well (even if there might be an absence of archaeological evidence associated with the civilisation for which Mahabharata was a culturally important text).

From looking at histories put forth, religions and myths through the world it seems that to me that a lot of our references of the past are likely written by people a people that didn't fully understand what they were seeing so made connections with what they new, nature. See someone step out-of a flying craft, then depict that as a bird man and so forth, And anyone who can fly, must be godly. I'm guessing we lived alongside (or below) a far greater race than what we were at the time

Lot of actual proves and facts comes from there, he does general fact finding.. And try to be a scholar which I belive broad but not deep..i have seen his videos..not deep superficially coving some. Generic facts from Some other persons reasearch.. doing Ted talk with engineers will find this fact awesome but people from those back ground will really know the coverage and scholarly nature of findings.. He right said people in one of the talk people see with some filter.. But i really see that he attitude shows less openness. @@Dushyantgiri dude, I don't thnk vedas can, at this point of time, prove anything... Though our ancient literatures were philosophical and scientific, bt was highly encrypted as well. Very few had the knowldege to understand evrythng frm vedas. And besides people pointing out, why thr ain't any single facts frm India, very few archaelogists plan to do their studies in India. Through this way, his only motive is to attract archaelogical companies and researchers attention towards us. And besides, the Indian facts that u r questioning, which puts u in dilemma, I'll give u few. The deep underwater city in the place whr ancient literatures points Dwaraka towards, हस्तिनापुर in Delhi, kurukhestra etc r already well known facts which proves many thngs abt mahabharata. Bt the problem is us, as people ourselves call mahabharata, a mythological book. And, that's why not many archaelogical researchers take interest in India.

The ancient Indian scriptures describe a high tech ancient civilization that could fly, used beam weapons, nuclear weapons and they used a kind of internet. That highly educated and skilled civilization disappeared 20,000 years ago. How can I be sure? Because civilizations come and go in a cycle of seven. As is described in the Mahabharata and ancient books from other peoples. The cause of this cycle is a planet that approaches our sun and its planets every few thousand years. To learn much more about the cycle of civilizations and recurring floods, ancient high tech and aliens, read the e-book: "what I know about Nibiru". You can read it nicely on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Just search for: know Nibiru

I have some knowledge on Mahabharat. Vyasa maha muni had written this epic of one lakh 24ooo slokas. the biggest single work in this world. Beyond this his Inhuman tasks are many, Writing Garuda Maha puran almost mahabharat size and another 18 puranas.editing vedas etc. However in Mahabharat he didnot elaborate some secrets. like Arjun conquering all Kautravas in Virataparva or Yakshaprasnas or Burning of Khandavavana ( contact if you think;... bkb1940rao@aol.com)

Has TED talks (and TH-cam) fallen to such low level?. Pl give his credentials. On all his talks he repeats the same thing. TED and TH-cam must ban his talks urgently

He keeps talking about Rakshasha in Mahabharat where only two Rakshasha was mentioned in Mahabharat, but doesn't talk about Ramayana and Sri Lanka where everything was about Rakshasha. He is not concerned about the timeframes of Ramayana and Mahabharata. He keeps giving examples of Giant found in Russia, but no archaeological evidence inside India or where Rakshas lived. In fact solving Mahabharata riddles are not that difficult as our history tells us. But this man needs to look into ancient Indian history before commenting on Mahabharata
