  • In today's episode of Beyond the Headline, anchor Sneha Koshy delves into the ongoing controversy surrounding the hijab and its impact on education. The discussion will explore the tension between democratic rights, constitutional principles, and individual freedoms as the hijab row spreads from Karnataka to Mumbai. With courts upholding bans and students continuing their fight, the episode will question whether these conflicts reflect an immature society grappling with deep-seated issues of identity and rights. "Question is open because the SC in the Aishat case decided between 3 ways, #BombayHighCourt case is likely to end up in SC...these women may not be able to get education..." says Sr SupremeCourt Adv, Karuna Nundy. "India is & will not be run a religious law, it runs by the largest written Constitution written by Dr. BR Ambedkar. In #Karnataka, girls were mismanaged..." says MANNU Former Chancellor, Firoz Bakht Ahmed. Watch the full video to know more and stay tuned with Mirror Now for more latest updates.

It is clear you haven't read your scripture. Else you would have been an ex-Muslim by now. Listen to sane people outside, and not some bigoted Maulanas, and understand your religion. Hijab is not an essential part of Islam. Muslim students cannot exercise their "choice" while going into a place where a standard uniform is prescribed. Now don't open your standard diversionary tactics on me. The whole world has come to know of Muslims. Check how Bhikari Muslims from poor Islamic countries have destroyed Europe because of their bigotry.

If the students want hijab then go and study at institutions which allows hijab. But if they want this institution they should follow the prescribed dress code and not impose their own dress code on the institution.
With hijab showing only the eyes how would the institution authorities ensure that the person is a student and not someone not authorised or even a security threat and if the person in hijab was to do something against institutions regulations then how to identify and take action.
If hijab is allowed then the dress code should be abolished and students be allowed to come to class in any dress including shorts and hot jeans and slippers or bare feet or no dress at all as long as it is not indecent or sexy.
