Anybody relate to these mistakes?
Definitely!! The ones I'm currently struggling with the most are 2 and 3.. doing 20 weddings this year while teaching full time (including the summer), getting married myself, and trying to buy a house may not have been the best idea. As for 3, I'm really struggling to find the right balance/percentage to reinvest in my business and to actually get paid for my work.. spent the first couple of years reinvesting everything and have gotten better the past two years but still have no clue what % of my income I should be keeping for me, investing in gear/marketing/etc. Think that is the biggest thing I'm still struggling with

Totally! I definitely had a lack of clarity for a long while, probably still do to some degree 😅 Right now it's been a struggle to know where to invest funds and how much to invest. Trying to figure out how much to invest into the customer experience and marketing side is tough. On one hand it feels like you should invest as much as possible to book more gigs, but on the other hand what if I spend all that money and it doesn't work...

Once again another amazing video!…I d call these the process and not the mistake to be honest…I realised even though I was given advices that I had to do the mistakes so I could realise every single thing you mentioned and more …the one thing that I think is a little easier to control (which I didn’t ) is your (gear) budget. Get your camera , a nice lens you feel good with , doesn’t have to be a GM.A cheaper 28mm 2.0 or a 35mm 1.8 (just examples) a few batteries and enough cards to record simultaneously and you are good to go…you can work miracles with just that…like you said…experiment a lot and you will soon know what you need and what you really want to shoot. Loved your video…I ve been through every single one of those situations you perfectly described..once again thank you !

Ive had a lot more bridezillas this year than ever before and this is my 15th year. Not only demanding but want to spend less money. Think it’s due to the wedding economy being cut back. A lot of venues were telling me it was slow with bookings compared to last year
I can see that. A lot of people I’ve talked too has seen a decrease across the board. I think it’s in part due to the economy and the after effects of the pandemic still trickling through the industry
