Thank you. That's a great help for fishermen getting to know the Hawkesbury and its tributaries. I'm a Berowra local and I normally head way downstream to the spots that I know.
Hey Thanks for the video I was about to sell my boat cause I’m moving away from Lake Macquarie (long story ) anyway I’ll be in Dural and Berowra is done the road . Cheers
Learn more stuff mate. Not just spots. Don't keep doing the same thing. Search around yourself. Knowing how to find and catch fish is better than being told of some mythical good spot.
@@freemansspeech2108 Do you usually only fish the berowra stretch of the hawkesbury? I just bought myself a little tinny (no sounder) and was wondering which boat ramp i should launch from. The only experience i have in the hawkesbury was renting tinnies at cottage point in the cowan stretch
mate i dont like or comment on anything but im heading to berowra waters tomorrow iv never been there and your video has given me some where to start thanks for sharing top video
gday mate i wish i seen this video before we headed to berowra waters yesterday my wife and i took the tinny up there for the first time, we jagged a nice flathead against a rock wall, we fished there today got some small bait fish nothing else, i wish i had the knowledge from your video, were heading back up there soon,im trying to find these spots you mentioned on your maps but struggling a little to locate them, hopefully i work it out and pull a nice metery from there, cheers for the video mate
To easy mate after a few times down there u will work it all out . Hope u crack the magic meter mark soon and there r plenty of them in that system just got to spend the time chasing them . Good luck
Caught a ton of soapys recently near most of the places you show here, found a great bream spot towards the oyster leases a little further out from where you are at 9:40 ....sorta just before you get to them where a lot of people anchor or drift at the drop off for jewies there is a good spot near just before the pylon up towards the shore.......get tons of decent bream there and a few soapies that hopefully will turn into massive jewies soon :P
Good stuff mate yer that area there does produce some good fish . Keep putting in the hours mate and go out only to target Jew and u will get one before long mate

The river is fishing really well atm plenty of bream flathead and the odd Jewfish around. Fish the middle of the day when it’s warmer and try and get a tide change as well
@@freemansspeech2108 sounds good. Thinking about hiring a boat from the marina for a day out, catch some little mullet and then using them as live bait in some of those spots you mentioned for the mulloway
Yer but don’t think that there are not bigger fish in that system some of my biggest Jew and I’ve seen plenty of big fish come out of berowra just got to work out what time of year they come up and u will get some good . Use a 3 to 4 inch lure and fine the deeper gutters u will get one . P.s good luck holding onto one in a kayak mate your going to know your alive cheers
Good question but long answer depends on time of year water clarity what there feeding on but Fresh prawns or live bait that are there where your fishing
That’s the go it would be a good day out . Plenty of public moorings to tie up to in the bays out of the wind & boat traffic & kick back and have a bbq
Hi buddy I kayack fish im going too berowa on sunday morning are there any good spots too the right from the boat ramp not far too paddle and ill be useing lures for the first time whats a good lure to buy
Yer mate try casting right along the banks down to the first bend where there is a deep hole. Work the sides the sun is on this time of year and even straight across from the boat ramp around the boats when the sun gets on that side in the afternoon. I’d use a really light soft plastic that’s the colour of a prawn or greenish work the lure really slow as the fish aren’t as active this time of year. Good Luck
Find some good structure in the main current line . I like to fish in 4m to 8m of water . This time of year around there will be some fish . I know of an old sunken timber boat around that area as well
You showed one of my prime Jewie spots, people actually laugh at us as we are moored up with heavy overhead gear. If they only understand how Jewfish think, tip they are lazy fish in the sense they will take the easy option. Have pulled in 25kg monsters out of this spot on many occasions.
It would be sensible to learn the actual place names of the bays so that people could find them on the chart, should have come and asked a local. You were right out the front of my place in your “jewfish spot”. More sharks than jew here at the moment.
Great attitude towards helping fellow fishers
