Such a heavily overfished spot. Im no greeny lefty vegan tree hugger but almost think its time parts of the hawkesbury were marine parked to allow some recovery. Youre right though its a beautiful part of the world how lucky are we all to live in Australia
It certainly has alot of traffic, I'm surprised it still fishes OK with the amount of pressure it takes. I think lion Island be a perfect marine park area may increase the fish stocks to. See you on the next one mate
Welcome to Sydney ! There is a reason why fishing shows on tv avoid the Hawkesbury- it can really turn on then go dead a few days later although you can always count on a flattie to save the day ! Can’t say I have heard of any big catches of hairtail recently , I always did better in Jerusalem bay . Not sure if you can camp on that beach , National parks patrol in a boat , used to chase us out of Jerusalem bay when we were kids camping down there .
I do love it there even though we didn't catch alot we all had a awesome weekend. We were gone by 7am I think legally only camp at the allocated camp ground. I assume people removed the no camping signs as none on our beach. I be back there soon, see you on the next one mate 🤙
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 Maybe some previous campers did the right thing and burnt the sign🤣 Anyhow I thought I would mention it in case another viewer thinks about camping there - hopefully they will check first . There is a place further up called twin beaches and you can camp there but as usual the national park want a fee for this - I don’t think they sell many though - the locals just lob and do what they like 🤣
About 10m before the bridge in front of those concrete blocks are huge jewies, if you turn right past the bridge by 150m is great for kingies. Hmu if you want my navionics locations 👌
Cheers mate, for the Jews, flatties, tailor the 100mm will work well to get bream consistantly you may have to drop down to a 70mm. See you on the next one 🤙
Lack of rain may see them moving further upstream in search for food. Winter is generally better for them as you probably know and you were in the right area. 👍🏻 You'll get them ✅
