I always said, Jeremy Wade is as close to a super hero as you can get on planet earth. Absolute legend of a man. His hard work and dedication is absolutely unmatched.
Other than Survivor Man featuring Les Stroud, the other shows you mention are ALL scripted. Especially Man is Wild. That guy brings an entire crew with him and has most things set up for him. It's fake.
Sadly, reality tv had its share of bad actors back in the day, but damned if we aren’t nostalgic for tv shows like that to return, especially the honest and good ones like River Monsters!
Well, ya got me on that one. River Monsters was always right up there with Survivor Man'. Love this show. And it's pretty hard to script catching the Monsters Jeremy catches . I think my favorite is when he caught the giant Tiger fish on the Congo. What a fish that was @Chris_EOH
I started fishing 2 years ago because of Jeremy Wade & I love the thrill you get when fish takes the bait after many hours. Thank you Sir. You are a true Legend.
the gigantic queensland grouper has gotta be one of my top fave moments of the entire show, such an imposing and charismatic beast, left a huge impression on me when I first saw the episode and I never forgot it! now I am a huge fan of groupers in general I think they're awesome :)
It's so nice to see these shows modernize and bring these to the masses through TH-cam, Thank you. These are incredible! Always loved watching them and nice to see this channel!
When i was 11 or 12 years old i already started fishing competitions in ponds mostly filled with carp. (95%) The fishing was done with a hand rod and an elastic cord in the first few pieces of the handrod(they were hand rods that you could take apart and put back together(non telescopic)so you could choose at which length you would feed and fish, there mostly was a rule about the length of line you could have ,mostly 5 meters or so,so you woudln't have the advantge to reach places where others couldn't if you had an expensive rod of 16 meters.side note:i still remember my father had a Daiwa Kevlar 16 meters hand rod that costed 40.000 Belgian franks(!!!).(that would be 1000€ today and that was in the 80's...) Anyway, one fisherman had a very big carp on and a bit too much elastic in his handrod and was standing on his 'visbak'(lol) i.e 'fish box' because he couldn't net it otherwise. Unfortunately he was standing under a high power electrical line and then the fish broke off and his line swong up in the air and made contact with the electrical line while still standing on his fishbox...😱💀⚡(carbon is an exellent electrical conductor..). I didn't see it myself but the people next to him and the people watching said that the blood was gushing i;e flying out of his ears like fountain while being electrocuted. 20.000 volts...(yes,it's the amps that count but still...) He miraculously survived and recovered and is probably still selling fishing gear in his shop in Denderleeuw. (very small city in Flanders). End of the story.
Going after bull-sharks in kayaks ? NUTS ! I love the water and will swim in the shallows at the seashore, but have seen too many beach 'accidents' (or videos of such) like shark attacks, stepping on stonefish or lionfish, getting stung by jellyfish/man o' wars to venture very deep in the ocean ! I save my 'real' swimming for freshwater lakes or swimming pools !
If your local aquarium sells red tail catfish for a great price, look again here and featured in river monsters...that should tell you it is not a great fish in your 20gal. aquarium
I'm not sure if my comment back to you came through or not I don't see it on my end. He got Parkinsons quite some time ago, thats why the show ended. I'm sure if you goggle his name there should be something there about it. @juggalojupin8508
probably _Pristis pectinata_ (smalltooth sawfish) going by the location. don't take them for granted! all sawfish species are critically endangered, the Florida everglades the only place in the entire world where the smalltooth population is moderately stable and not getting fewer
Mexican novela! As much as i love fishing, can't stand the fake drama becoming so relevant while leaving out so many interesting aspects of the experience like biology ruins entire the show for me! And no, not watching this! just dropping a comment. I doubt they will drop the drama, but maybe include some interesting biology and facts and anecdotes
One of the dumbest shows ever. 55 minuted talking about a "monster" then with 5 mins left they show him either catching a regular fish or not catching anything. Never once has an episode ever caught a monster
The man who had to stop his series because he caught ever fish there is to catch 💀💀
Awesome
I always said, Jeremy Wade is as close to a super hero as you can get on planet earth. Absolute legend of a man. His hard work and dedication is absolutely unmatched.
This was such a Great tv show!! My son and i would watch every week. We waited for new episodes.
Man vs wild , river monsters , duel survival , and deadliest catch 🙌🙌🙌 molded me

Jeremy Wade lifting a redtail catfish out of the water like a puppy is what i live for

That last red tail was beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous coloration
Would be worth alot in the aquarium hobby
I love the B roll clips. It gives the viewer a sense of where they are.
Jeremy Wade for JRE podcast!
Man I been waiting for that!!! Jeremy wade on JRE!!!
That would feed families
Why hasn't that happened yet?
Oooooo, I've never even thought of that. That would be gold
This is the best comment I’ve seen in my entire life
Jeremy wade is a living example of the average dad backstory my show ended because I was to good I caught them all
This man could make a whole series of just catching monster river pike and I’d be hooked!
Pun Intended?
@11:20 Jeremy Actually Wades 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
i gre up with this show
Jeremy Wade i hope you continue to air on tv! Everyone loves your show!
The reason he stopped River Monsters is because he caught ALL of them
It's so nice to see these shows modernize and bring these to the masses through TH-cam, Thank you. These are incredible! Always loved watching them and nice to see this channel!
"Goliath - Gender Bender" 🤣 Sensational 😎

River Monsters been cooking 🧑🍳 lately
Its been cancelled for years my man! Glad they post on youtube at least but I recommend trying some seasons out, great show
@@marcusleskiw2400 I know but it's great they're making all the content available for us
@@marcusleskiw2400 It’s mostly because Jermey W. has already caught all the River Monsters that have been reported.
It wasn’t canceled just wasn’t anymore monsters and legends to chase. He was too successful.
@@marcusleskiw2400 I know. 😂

A Yellow redtail catfish and its unique colouration isnt even mentioned.
That fish would be pricy in the aquarium trade.

When you’re so good at your job that you run out of fish worthy of your challenge
20 pen holes called what ???? 0:12 😂😂 craziest word ever

I was hoping to see the mother of all turtles when he was fishing for the gooch
Bull sharks are relentless biters, they will keep coming back for more.

I was wondering if you ever keep the fish you caught for eating?
9:40 bro this is the start of the meme🥹🫶
Those Yamaha engines holding it down.
Crazy how some animals can switch genders
Why blur the bull sharks dorsal fin?
Bro needs to start catching fish from unexplored water bodies and looking for new fish

😂 just imagine being dragged into space to have some strange being knock on your head a few times poke around in your mouth then send ya back.
*A trans fish, wow*
Jeremy Wade, or all the Mesozoic sea creatures? Who u take
Task failed successfully.
Can't we just call them Lorenz Amps?

He has no feel for fine fishing ......................................................
Sure is such a shame what happened to Jeremy, getting Parkinson's the way he did. A real shame.
What happened? When did that happen
@juggalojupin8508 That happened quite some time ago. That's why his show ended. You can Google it. Like I said, it's a sad shame.
